Event: Layover Weekend!
We interrupt your BDE for an announcement of another event coming next week! Have you had enough of getting randomly dumped somewhere not of your choosing against your will? Well too bad, it's different this time! Welcome to Layover Week!
For this week, when you leave your dorm/house/apartment/etc. intending to go to work/class/social life, you will instead be transported to a different location. The same location as a bunch of other people who didn't mean to be there. And no matter how hard you try, you cannot leave that location until exactly 30 minutes after you arrived. Any powers or devices that would normally get you out (phasing, teleportation, portals, etc) will simply not work for as long as you're trapped. (Annoyingly they'll work just fine for anyone outside the transportation location.) After that, you can walk right out the door and go on with your day if you so choose.
For instance: Kitty leaves home to go run some errands and is transported to the Perk. For as long as she's in that location, Kitty can't phase out. Alexis was there before her, and so after 30 minutes Alexis happens to try the door and waltzes right out, leaving Kitty really insulted by what just happened until her 30 minutes are up. There's also nothing announcing that your time is over so however you would like to find that out (if you play it out at all) is up to you. And yes, your character may have just suffered a BDE-related trauma, so know that weetiny weekend rules apply: you know you're somewhere different, you can feel however you want about being there/getting out, but the freak out won't be there.
Everyone who's affected that day will end up at the same location. If the location that day is The Perk, you won't find yourself transported to Ching Tai or wherever instead. And if you don't want to do it, or don't want to do it every day, that's totally fine. There will be one post per day, so everyone who ends up in the location can interact and we can handwave timing as necessary.
This will start on Monday, July 19 and then on Friday, July 23, the Discord's wishes from a month ago come true: people will be transported to either a girls' warehouse or a boys' warehouse, where they'll have their separate slumber parties for the night!
A few rules regarding the slumber parties:
-You don't have to go anywhere to get transported today. At 8 pm, you'll just end up at the warehouse (if you choose! You can opt out by just not pinging in). Pajamas will be provided upon arrival.
-Both warehouses get all the same stuff and activities, with a couple minor differences.
-If you want your character to end up in the opposite warehouse, email/DM me please! I'm open to it but too many people doing it defeats the purpose.
-You can leave the warehouse at 6 am on Sunday morning, at which point the event is over. You can keep the pajamas. Also you have to leave in the pajamas.
-This is based completely on the Discord chat where this was discussed. I'll also throw a brainstorming thread below if there are any ideas you might have for things to do. It's possible not everything will work, but we came up with it as a group so I'm doing my best to incorporate the group's ideas.

Is there an official ruling on people who live where their place of business is? For example, Rosa and her office, Amaya and the forge?
Because on the one hand, it's technically the same building, but on the other hand, it's way funnier if you get lay-over just going downstairs XD
And second, re: the slumber party, with a very specific question, but let's say you have a Radchaai that makes gender distinction a bit tricky....should that player just pick the one that makes the most sense for the context? (In Tisarwat's case, I'd probably use established sex-swap rules for her and go boy despite appearances, since she doesn't identify as a girl either? It's complicated, I'm sorry XD XD XD )

On the second, it is totally up to the player's discretion and you can put her wherever you feel most comfortable. So if you want to use established sex swap rules then you're good to.
