Things Are Going Get Sexy In Here: Events For February
Spring is in the air (because winter never came to Maryland, not that we're bitter)! And spring means the return of sex pollen week from Sunday, February 12 to Friday, February 17th. The pollen amps up characters' hormones and increases their desire for sexytiems unless their physiology prevents it/people from their universe don't get affected by it/that yogurt they ate last week left them resistant/whatever reason you need if you'd rather opt out of the whole thing. It doesn't make your characters do anything and is not intended to cause any trauma regarding consent issues.
We will not be following up with AU kiddos, however, because happy fun times don't always end up in pitter pattering feet! Instead, we will be bringing back Sex-Swap (Bits Switch?) weekend, which we haven't done since 2019! No, it doesn't involve tossing your car keys in a bowl, and yes, it used to be called Genderswap before Fezzik told us we keep using that word and he doesn't think it means what we think it means, because gender is one thing and bits are another.
Here's how this one works:
On Saturday, February 18, characters may -- if their player chooses -- unexpectedly wake up with surprise!sexybits. By this we mean their body will be temporarily transformed to what it would look and feel like if they were a person of their species with a different set of sexual organs. AKA "Bits and a body-type that don't look like the ones you went to sleep with." Said bits and body will be returned to their proper formation when everybody wakes up on Monday, February 20.
Speaking of everybody, we would never leave out those characters whose original bits are:
* intersex/multi-sexed
* self-transforming, whether at will or only under certain circumstances (shapechangers and clownfish, we're looking at you)
* From a species with more than two kinds of bits (there's no such thing as Opposite Day)
* From a species with only one kind of bits (there's also no such thing as Opposite Day)
* Sir Not Appearing In This Film (your character usually has no bits)
* beyond any description that your splooshy human brainsacks could comprehend
Those characters get Player's Choice: any set of bits available to their species except the set they went to sleep with, or if no such thing is available to their species, then you're welcome to have the character suddenly possess any set of bits available to humans, instead.
Again, this is not intended to cause trauma to either characters or their players and is entirely voluntary! It will definitely make going on a Spring Break trip more interesting, but that's another post.

2. The explanations of how the events work are very much appreciated
3. You using Amicia's account for the sex pollen announcement is particularly evil, damn you. I'd say "Thanks, Satan" but, well...
4. 💜

Not a huge deal, but it's helpful for plotting and especially for events like these where we need to look for icons and such.
