Either I can't read, or we haven't done this since last year. And yes I am hit-and-running this meme between bass practice and the spa (but will be back in the afternoon when y'all are actually awake).

Tag in with your characters and then people will comment asking the MUNS anything about the GAME or THEIR CHARACTERS, because we all know the muns will answer when the characters won't. They can be specific questions ("How does he feel about her?") or general questions ("Why did you choose this character?", "How do you channel them?", etc).

ETA: Nothing says 'living in the Netherlands' like being late to your own meme because there's a fleet of sailboats heading through your town and you hit every open drawbridge on the way home. Anyhow!

I love this question and I'm sorry for the wall of text you're about to get.

With Jaina it's fun because while I'm always going to be bitter we didn't get the end of her story, there's enough between the end of the EU books and Legacy that I have a lot of room to fill in a lot of blanks in how the Empire and Imperial Knights end up, and there's a lot I can do with the latter. A lot of it comes from me reading some random old post and thinking "if there's a thread there" and next thing you know I've turned into the Pepe Silva meme and writing posts at 1 am and it's a lot of fun and makes me think I can halfway plot. (But only halfway, let's not get carried away.)

Rey's interesting in opposite ways but it's a lot messier. I have no idea what they're doing with canon, so I'm kind of stuck there. I know something has to be coming somewhere at some point, but I don't know what form it'll take, and if I want to keep playing her long term (which I do) I don't want to joss myself too hard and it's impossible not to. So I'm interested in letting her learn more while I figure that out, and when I say she's still learning from the people here, I mean it. A weird amount of her conversations get her wondering whether she can do that too or makes her look at something from a different perspective and that's a lot of fun for me.

The main thing I want is for Rey to have learned from the mistakes of the Jedi before her and break that cycle. She's a scavenger, she's good at piecing things together from a lot of spare parts and making them work, and honestly I'd hope Rey and her Order get to the point Jag and Jaina and the Empire are at, where you go "that didn't work, this kind of did, that REALLY didn't work, this needs to be updated for modern times." I'm sure it'd still be pretty small in her lifetime, so rather than collecting people for numbers to make it bigger, I see more of a focus on individual Jedi and building them up to strengthen that foundation before anything.

When I first read What Big Teeth, Luma was actually my favorite, but Eleanor made much more sense and seemed a little more interesting and easier to play and bring into this setting. Of course, then along came Parents' Weekend, where I not only got the chance to try out the Elder Zarrin's voice, but also find a really good narrative opportunity to bring her on board as well! That was never my intention when I apped Eleanor, but I do love that it worked out that way, because playing their dichotomy is so much fun for me.

And as for Summer, I've been wanting to send her off to something new and different again for a while now, but I have so much on my plate IRL right now that I couldn't be bothered to go rooting around in canon for a good hook. Just didn't have the attention span or time, so I figured I'd just ride it out until lightning struck.

Or, in this case, Nuance, and finally getting around to Ragefest. And I'd JUST finished up a Ravnica DnD campaign, so the setting was deep in my heart and I was feeling a little nostalgic for it already. So I realized what a great opportunity it was to solve my Summer problem and give her a fun setting that I already know and love to corrupt and destroy play around in.

And there's sooooooooo many opportunities, but also in a really low key way where it can work on the whims of the ever-increasing challenge of my availability and schedule.

So really light plans, nothing concrete, open for anything at this point, whether that's taking a break for just a month or two, right down to riding ig put all the way to the War of the Spark.

Or maybe she'll just become Guildpact, idk, even without mana, she'll still be better at it thar Jace fucking Beleren?

The easy answer to this is their relationships. Not just the romantic ones, although that's definitely a big part of it, obviously. But with their friends, their social roles on the island, and with each other, especially in all the changes still ahead for them. Prompto with building a family, Ignis with his whole deciding to be an immortal vampire for ~love~, and Gladio just being...the solid rock that he is (and easiest, no-fuss character I've probably ever played and I love him for that).

I have such a deep love and connection with these boyos, though, so I love that the well of exploring who they are and who they will still become after this time is so wonderfully deep.

Rey's almost always easiest, because she's got the most connections to people and is the easiest to get out because of it. But I can drop Jaina anywhere and play her.

Mostly I just really, really miss playing Jaina, but her life isn't anywhere that I can really bring her back. So like above, I was reading old posts, went "I want a reason to bring her back" and within like minutes I had a plot in mind. And the only way it really worked is to bring Jag, too, and it so happens that I love him and wanted to give him a try. Though I think I do him more justice playing against myself than other characters.
