Organizing the Plotting Zoo Trip
Planning for the Plotting Zoo Trip has come along pretty well, and we thought it was time to actually let people know what they had gotten themselves into.
The trip will be taking place in Game Time this Sunday, October 23. In Real Time, it will be starting on Friday, October 21, to make sure people in non-American time zones will get plenty of time to play. The wonderful
fh_anonymous, our Zoo Guide/Animals, is in the Central Time Zone and doesn't plan on sleeping Friday night if there are people playing, so feel free to play as late as you want/can.
Saturday will be a day of rest as we'll have at least one person locked up in Detention (and Anonymous will have to get sleep sometime). We're considerate Slow-Time players.
The bulk of the trip in Real Time will be on Sunday. Even if you can't be there Friday night, you'll have plenty of time on Sunday to visit all the animals you want.
The trip itself should prove interesting. The basic premise is that when you pet an animal (or if an animal interacts with you in a specific way), a predetermined plot event will happen to you. Some of these will be specifc, some will be vague, some will deal strictly with emotions. It will be your responsibility to play the event out. Have fun with it. It'll be crazy.
By going on this trip, you are giving us permission to screw with your character. We promise to return the character to you more or less in the same condition they were in when they woke up that morning. Note that this might involve headaches, hangovers, or strange people waking up next to you in a state of clotheslessness. That part isn't likely to happen, but I don't know where you guys are going to take anything, so who knows?
Also, extra spots on the trip were offered to three students who expressed interest but didn't make it in (or, in one case, gave up a spot). FH_A offered to sacrifice a little more sanity for their sakes. Also, ideas brewed for them all on their own. If you think plot bunnies are bad normally, please note that it's even worse when you're dealing with ACTUAL plot bunnies!

And I'm sorry to be the loser stuck in detention.
Also - Rory's non-suprise party is Friday, so everyone going to that might be slightly slow replying.

That's a lucky little break, although we would have scheduled around it if we had known, anyway. :)

I would have started crying during the organization process with many more people.
I'm hoping another group does another trip like this in the near future with people who didn't get to go this time. I figure that the second time will be easier to work out since, obviously, it will have been done once already. :)
