Teacher's Lounge Party/Treasure Hunt

I'm planning on having Jenny hold a party in the teacher's lounge during the first week of classes to welcome the new teachers. What I'd also like to do, in order to get the teachers to know each other, is pair them all up and send them on a treasure hunt. Not real treasure, omg, but this is Fandom, so you really never know.

What I'd like to do is get a bit of townie interaction going too, and have some of the items be things that can be found in townie shops (some free items, like a matchbook with the Luke's Diner logo on it, and maybe some things that could be bought).

If there are any townies interested in having their characters participate, please comment here and let me know, and I'll include your shop or area in the treasure hunt.

Business Cards? Bookmarks?

Well, business cards have a tendency to encourage people to want to patronize your establishment and, you know, buy things. But I think Phale might encouraged to join at least the last century and print some up, since it's for a good cause. *g*

Hmm. It'd be hilarious if everyone came in and bought a book from Phale for the treasure hunt, but that probably wouldn't work so well. I do like Smith's idea of bookmarks, though, if Phale maybe has those promotional bookmarks publishers sometimes provide?

*laughing* It's a possibility, though I was thinking that IC asking people to buy something kind of expensive in a treasure hunt is kind of...not quite kosher. (I ran a treasure hunt IRL and it was a hit because everything on it was either findable, or cheap.) But I could send them to the Emporium for your autograph, maybe, and mention your books?

That's quite all right. We'll stick to the Emporium business cards. (If only because trying to switch back and forth between Ben and Michael while my workplace is exploding around me [not literally, but almost] is not something I would look forward to.) We'll leave it to Aziraphale to push the book as something to put the bookmark in. *grin*

It would be hilarious to have a slew of people buying his precious books from him, but I think you're right, maybe not very practical. I could also do business cards...he'd do it if he were asked.
