Two shows from PRverse: The Funky Fisherman (kids show), and Ocean Alert (which would work as a Baywatch meta).

[identity profile] sogothcally.livejournal.com 2006-05-22 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Teeeeechnically, the full name is "The Funky Fisherman Cartoon Show"

...I'll be over here, doing the Happy Fish dance...

[identity profile] bridge-carson.livejournal.com 2006-05-22 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Teeeeechnically, it's actually "The Funky Fisherman's Cartoon Cavalcade"

[identity profile] cantgetnorelief.livejournal.com 2006-05-23 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
Haven't you referenced Dekaranger too, as the series following Abaranger?

Conner would like to not be the only one freaking out. ;)

Listed under The Funky Fisherman's Cartoon Cavalcade. *eyes you*

Liz was watching Insomnious on Lake Union, also known as Sleepless in Seattle last week.

And there was discussion of Wormhole X-Treme spin-off in the lost city of Pacifica!

6teen has a ton of movies. The only ones I can remember off the top of my head are:

The 77th Samurai
Boardwarriors I - III
Girls Just Wanna Have Slumber
Sneakin' Out
Sneakin' Out II: The Sneakening
Old People Gardening
Dumping Amy

But I'm sure I can add a few. There's also a boy band called DawgToy.

[identity profile] 1ordinarygirl.livejournal.com 2006-06-06 04:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Let me know if you use any IG?

[identity profile] dude-its-jude.livejournal.com 2006-06-06 05:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I've already used the slumber party ones, and I think I might have referenced The 77th Samurai.

Tim has mentioned Sunflower Road(Sesame Street), watched Android Rooster(Robot Chicken), I think I've heard a number of meta titles for Chasing Amy: Pursuing Andrea and Following Annie.
Also there's been mention of Return to the Future, and Bob and Theo's Wonderfull Excursion (or something like that)

Okay, since we have a character from a world where Disney is real, it was suggested that Disney cartoons get meta'ed the same way that Bugs Bunny gets meta'ed.

In other words, Mickey, Donald, Goofy et al are actors who act in cartoons for Disney in the universe Fandom High is in. In Demyx's world (Kingdom Hearts 2), King Mickey is the double/doppelganger. Making him real and just happening to inhabit a world like the fake one he acts for in FH universe.

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-05-22 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Seconded.

[identity profile] bugofjustice.livejournal.com 2006-05-22 08:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I was acting under the impression that the Mickey meta was implied, actually. If it's good enough for the Bunny, it's good enough for the Mouse.

[identity profile] cantgetnorelief.livejournal.com 2006-05-23 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
Similarly, I didn't reference it by name, but I was working with the notion of Master and Commander being a biopic of sorts, and the characters in that movie (the main ones at least) as real historical figures in Archie's universe.

Way back a few months ago, Nadia was watching Turnpike District (Garden State). And I think we decided "My Best Friend's Wedding" didn't need to be meta-ed, but I'd go for BFF's Nuptuals or something.

Didn't we used to?

And so as not to spam: Willow had the girls watching Thunderstorm Nuptials last night instead of Monsoon Wedding.

I think Cam mentioned 'Starship Troopers' and changed it to 'Spaceship Commandos'. I'm also pretty sure I mentioned Lord of the Rings meta somewhere but I can't remember. Cameron did mention the Cavalry of Rohin and Gander.

Xander was retconned into referencing referenced Recent Anomalies (New Mutants), Excelsior (Excalibur) and Kismet (Strangers In Paradise) ages ago when I went back through old entries a few months ago and realized he hadn't metaed them zomg and I forgotinated to comment it on the old popculture post.

The Denied is kinda the FK-equivalent of the LeStat stories by Anne Rice. It appeared first as a novel by "Emily Weiss"; I've had Doc Lambert watching the film version a few times here or there.
