Community clubs

In order to foster some more interaction between the adult characters in game (teachers and townies alike), we came up with the idea of hosting community clubs or events (examples: knitting circle, a book club, a chess tournament,...).

We're looking for townies/teachers who would be interested in hosting these clubs. They would work very similar to how the student clubs work. Once a week or maybe once every two weeks, the clubs would gather. They clearly wouldn't need an advisor, but they would get registered through the townie hall posts and added to [livejournal.com profile] ft_directory.

We also welcome any and all input for community events. If you have a character that you think might be usable to host a certain event or if you have any ideas for an event that you might want to happen, feel free to make them.

All comments, ideas and suggestions are welcome.

And while I'm here, I would like to announce that Stuff for Sale has moved over to a Holidays theme (yes, any and all holidays). There might be the occasional turkey gadget that they're trying to sneak into your bags as ornament so be aware!

*Volunteers for hosting duties!*

I'd intended to get a book club going last year, and never quite managed it, so I'd be happy to do that. Or really, any other sort of club. Tea Appreciation Society, anyone?

But the Brits all drink tea! They could...get together and talk about how they're oppressed by the coffee people. ;)

They could get Blair to make protest signs and hold a sit-in at the Perk to demand equal rights for tea drinkers.

I'm not sure what sort of Club A&S could host that wouldn't double up on some other buisnes' turf but if anybody thinks of one I'll probably be all for it.

Dude.

A nun, a scout, and a SPARTIN getting drunk and shooting things.

I'd watch that.

I'm a fan of the whiskey under the kilt.

...Can we choose who's wearing the kilt?
