Me again, hi! The subject has come up before that the town is in need/want of some new places and activities. Since it's been a while since this post went up, we'd just like to get a better idea of what suggestions you all had to add some things to Fandom town. If it's a restaurant you want, a service, somewhere you can take a date, what have you, go ahead and tell us here and we'll take it into consideration.

(Remember, just because it's suggested doesn't mean it's going to happen. This is just a nice little brainstorm. *carries umbrella*)

Calling all Fandom Town dwellers! I've gone through and updated the directory as much as I can, coming up with an easier way to browse through businesses and people. There's now a Yellow Book listing post, which lists residents and businesses by category. (So if you've ever had an IM that goes something like "So where should they go for their date?" "I don't know, I can't think of what there is," this would be good for that situation. Not that I've ever had that IM, really.)

Which brings up my next point in that I am missing a lot of townie directory forms. I have trouble updating the map without knowing where your business is located or where you live. So if you don't see your character's name or business with a pretty blue link on this page, I'd really appreciate it if you could indulge my OCD and fill out this form for me. It's very quick, and you can either E-mail it to me at trickster_twin@livejournal.com or even just drop it in a comment to the directory form post and I'll be checking for it.

Last year on we had Trick or Treating in town, which worked out really well and was a lot of fun. Naturally that means we're trying to do it again.

On Wednesday morning I'll put up a post in

fandomtownies, complete with OCD for those businesses and townies/teachers who would like to give out candy for the ~~teenagers they probably think are too old to be begging for cavities~~ kids. This is for businesses and town-dwellers only. If you want to be added to the post to be visited, sign up in this post and voila.

Hey, everyone. One of the things that came out of our most recent Open Forum was a request for some new places in town--primarily, a skate park and Chamber of Commerce, at least to start.

However, we are considering a more extensive expansion and development of beautiful downtown Fandom and are looking for suggestions of things that you would like to see--locations, stores, restaurants, activities, whatever.

Hey all, I'm going to steal a moment of everyone flailing over new characters to welcome our latest townie;

As you might have noticed by now, there’s a new Sheriff in town which means that there might be some slight adjustments as to how violence in plots should be handled IC. OOC however, the same rules still apply.

So what will be changing? Well for one thing, Roy Mustang is definitely not Tex. Whereas Tex pretty much didn’t give a damn and her morals could be bought, Roy Mustang is an idealist. On one side this might be a good thing because; hey, a sheriff who actually cares. On the other, it will need some more careful treading.

To compensate for this however, most of the troopers have left together with Tex. There is a squad left (consisting of 9 clone troopers) and one Sheriff. They will be covering security around the island in shifts, this means that Fandom Troopers is understaffed. There aren’t a whole lot of patrols anymore and there should be a bit more leeway to get away with violence. Just keep in mind that it is still a small town and certain things will just draw attention.

OOC we still expect you to clear any serious violence with us. Serious being any fights that could lead to major injuries, destruction of public property or which involves weaponry. Fisticuffs and other minor forms of violence don’t have to be included.

These changes have been added to the townie guide so it will be easy to find for future references. I added a 'patch note' in the comments so you can see the changes that have been made.

A couple of quick bits of OOC info you need for OrangeShoeSevenAide, as it's not exactly your typical store. This is because Jerry and Jerry are insane. (Seriously, if you're wondering "What's wrong with them?", that's all. They're not taking the meds.)

It's very like a store, but with two important distinctions. It doesn't have anyting you'd want to buy, and you can't really buy things from it anyway.

Hi people! Just a few matters to bring up;

1. We have new townies to welcome;

sizzler_sisters Jerry Sizzler and Jerry Sizzler (Kids in the Hall - Recurring Sketch)

stanleykeyworth Dr. Stanley Keyworth (The West Wing)

2. As you all are aware from the previous post, we will be accepting teachers to apply as townie once they finish their school semester. Teachers won't have to fill out the background and writing sample on the applications.

Townies are also allowed to apply to as teacher, but they will be expected to fill out the form in its entirity and they will have to keep up with their townie duties.

3. We are looking for players to take over specific businesses in town. We need someone to take over:

- Empire Records
- Aereopagitica Used and Rare Books
- The arms hotel (Note; The hotel can be an intensive commitment as it is needed to host people during big events such as Parent's Weekend.)
