There were scattered light showers today, but they didn't dampen the pleasantness of the day.

Apart from the actual dampening, that is.

Look, theoretically there was weather, but no one could actually see what it was. All there was, was fog. Lots of fog. Everywhere, fog - thick, pea-soupy fog, so that no one can see more than a foot in front of their face.

It was still warm, though not excessively so, and what with the fog and all, the humidity was right up there.

The air had an odd stillness to it, out here in the middle of the ocean, but at least it was a nice day, with highs of 90 (32c) and lows of 80 (27c), and only a few scattered showers to mar the sunshine.

It was windy today, because today was EKKA DAY! There were very pleasant highs of 69 (21c) and not so bad lows of 43 (6c).

The winds that were simply an accepted part of Ekka season had arrived, blowing across the island. They didn't keep the temperatures from reaching highs of 67 (19c), and the lows were as low as 46 (8c).

Apparently, this part of Queensland had forgotten that it was winter. Temperatures today hit highs of 81 (27c), and only dipped down as low as 54 (12c). Mmm, tropical.

It was a balmy 65 (18c) to 41 (5c) today, which, granted, might only be considered balmy when compared with the weather in Antarctica. Never mind, it was still clear and rain free, which was always good.

The entire state of Queensland was going through an unexpected cold snap, leaving the temperatures at a moderately chilly 59 (15c) to 43 (6c).

The weather today was actually fairly dry, for once. (It wouldn't do to have all the Con's robotic guests suddenly start to rust up.) It was still hot, though, as was only to be expected. Highs of 95 (35 c), lows of 78 (26 c), and it would be clear all day.

It's just a dusting, all over the island, and it will be gone by noon, thanks to temperatures reaching highs of 66 (19 c) from lows of 43 (6 c). Off the Causeway it's 28 (-2c) to 26 (-3c).

The weather today was warm, almost as if the island were trying to discourage any more icy admirers. Highs of 77 (25c) and lows of 59 (15c), and off the Causeway, cloudy with snow showers, highs of 22 (-6c) and lows of 18 (-8c).

The weather is not quite as warm as yesterday, with highs of 70 (21c) and lows of 54 (12c) on the island, and highs of 28 (-2c) and lows of 17 (-8c) once people stepped off the causeway.

It was surprisingly warm on the island today, with highs of 70 (21 c) and lows of 54 (12c). The ice in the pond had melted, and the snow on the edges had disappeared, which might just make the sudden transition to highs of 28 (-4c) and lows of 25 (-2c) once off the Causeway a bit of a shock.

The cold weather had made it to the very edges of the island today, and the coastline and Causeway were sprinkled with snow.

The temperature on the island was 60f (16c) to 48f (9c), and on the mainland, 29f (-2c) to 23f (-5c).
