Hello, everyone! Yes, it is already TIME FOR FALL BREAK, everyone's favorite time to pretend like we're going cool places experiencing cool things.

This year, we will be going to Quebec, Canada, where Fandom's best and brightest shall stay in a truly impressive hotel by name of the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac.

So pack your bags and practice your best French! Sign-ups close Friday, October 18th and we leave on October 20th. The trip is open to all characters who are either taking or teaching a class at the school and their guests!

It's October and that means it's time to announce our semi-annual fakey vacation! This year the trip is open to all characters who are either taking or teaching a class at the school! Guests are also invited (but if you're playing a high school student, please don't make it weird and invite an adult townie as their guest, please and thank you.)

And where, you ask, are we going this year?

NEW ZEALAND

And not just because this in on most of the mods' dream vacation lists. Really.

We'll be hopping to both islands using a modified-for-our-RP convenience version of this itinerary.

It is October in (oh God) two days, and thus our thoughts turn to fake vacations we can not actually go on ourselves!

Perhaps that is just me.

ANYWAY, this year we shall be going on a French River Cruise along the Seine from Paris to Normandy and back again!

It's gonna be so fake pretty, you guys.

We'll be going from Sunday, October 9 through Friday, October 14th and students, teachers, and townies who can find a teacher to mooch off of are all invited!

It's that time of year again to take an improbably expensive trip and stay at a ridiculous hotel! Fall Break 2021 takes us up to Boston, Massachusetts and all the beautiful leaves you can stand to look at! We'll be there from Sunday, October 10 to Saturday, October 16.

We'll be staying at the Boston Harbor Hotel and going on historic tours, eating allll the food, and going on boat rides.

It's time, already, for our annual Fall Break trip, which will take place Sunday, October 11 until Saturday, October 17th. In deference to the absolute tire fire this year has been, we are doing something VERY FUN: we are visiting a variety of amusement parks across Europe!

It's every teacher, student, and mooching townie's favorite time of year: the implausibly expensive Fall Break Trip! This time we're off to Quito, Ecuador and then the Galapagos Islands where we will be making extremely tasteful jokes about the many kinds of boobies we may observe there from Sunday, October 13th until Saturday, October 19th!

Ugh, so pretty.

We'll start off in Quito, staying at the Hotel Dann Carlton Quito and then get on a boat for a four-day cruise on the Galapagos Legend for snorkeling, kayaking, general revelry and shenanigans!

It's that time of the year again, kids (and teachers, and their townie friends who finagle a free trip)! This time our trip is a little compressed, due to all the dead people wandering around this weekend (how rude of them), and we'll be getting passed all of that trauma with a delightful trip to Greece from Monday, October 8 until Saturday, October 13th!

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

But because it's a Fandom trip, our normal, relaxing trip to the island of Zakynthos with a change of scenery in Athens sends us from norml, relaxing Zakynthos to...ancient Athens.

Don't book through Portalocity, kids.

Not Australian, autocorrect, stop that.

Starting next Saturday, October 7, students, teachers (and teachers' friends, if they beg hard enough) will be ditching the unseasonable heat of the American East Coast and heading over to beautiful Tirol, Austria and the Hintertux Glacier.

We will be staying at the Kaiser-Franz-Josef Hütten chalets ~~that will handwavily have enough space for us all, lala~~.

So pretty.

As always, you can request a roommate, and then we will be randomly assigning 8 of you to each chalet, where you can decide for yourselves if you get a room with bunkbeds or one with a full-sized bed. There's also a group living room, a dining area, a small kitchen, a sauna, and a cozy fireplace.

As a group, everyone will get driven to the slopes for daily skiing instructions, as is traditional, so prepare for ski-lift related traumas ~~at least two mods have ski-lift trauma. Don't judge us.~~ There's also tobogganing, exploring picturesque Austrian ski villages, and eating nasty Austrian dumpling soup. *Cough* We mean "enjoying local cuisine." Just maybe not that soup.

So sign up here by Thursday, October 5 and pack your ski poles and pain killers! It'll be fun!

Good afternoon, Fandom! We interrupt your pre-Parents' Weekend plotting to tell you about our Fall Break plans this year. When the days turn shorter (...some places), and the air crisper (...some places), our thoughts turn to leaves changing colors, drinking as many pumpkin spice lattes as humanly possible, dressing like Han Solo (with boots, leggings, and adorable vests), and spoooooky ghost stories.

Like the ones from Sleepy Hollow, New York.

Mwahaha.

From Sunday, October 9th through Saturday, October 15th, the students (and teachers, and the teachers' guests) are invited to explore Sleepy Hollow for the week. There will be cemetery tours! Haunted hay rides! A delightful mile and a half walk from Sleepy Hollow to the Castle Hotel in Tarrytown, where we're sure nothing creepy will ride along on horseback in the evenings!

Sign ups are open until Thursday, October 6th.

Yep, that's Jurassic World. Because let's be real, the people of Fandom Island are absolutely the target demographic for this park. We are going to be there well before the screaming and the chomping and the everyone dying bit of the movie, naturally, so there'll be no death-related shenanigans, just regular dinosaur-related shenanigans. We'll be staying two a room at the Hilton Isla Nublar Resort, so sign up with a partner or alone in yonder OCD. As always, students, teachers and the teachers' guests are welcome on the trip, so townies, start buttering up the teachers now!

Sorry to interrupt your parental trauma, y'all, but there's another happy occasion on the horizon: fall break!

Yes, from the afternoon of Sunday, October 5th through to Sunday, October 12th, we will be visiting scenic and not at all ice cold Skyrim! Home to adorably stoic Nords, beautiful mountain vistas, and the perfectly-safe-to-consume Nord Mead!

We'll start our journey off with some good old-fashioned hard work, in picturesque Rorikstead, a small town still rebuilding after a devastating dragon attack. Fandom will be helping the locals restore their homes and burnt crop fields until Wednesday, October 8th. That day, a procession of horse-driven carriages will take Fandom denizens through most of Skyrim down to the southeastern city of Riften, for relaxation and not getting frostbitten quite as much.

We interrupt your Parents' Weekend shenanigans for a quick announcement: It's time for Fall Break! And this year, from Saturday, October 12 to Sunday, October 20, we (and by "we" we mean teachers (and their guests) and students) will be visiting...

*drumroll*

Tuscany, Italy!

For the first half of our trip, we will be staying at Castello di Casole, a completely ridiculous estate located on 4,200 acres in the center of the province. It has olive groves and vineyards and is within easy access of Siena, Pisa and the Amalfi coast for field trips throughout the early part of the week. On Thursday, we'll shift to Florence itself and the Savoy Suites, where rooms have views of the amazing Duomo and our fake people can see famous art, shop for leather and shoes, or eat a lot of gelato and snicker about all the naked bronze dudes in fountains.

So pack up your fake passports and pick out roommates for the week by Thursday, October 10! Whee!

Ladies, gentlebeings, and anyone else in between! Fall break is fast approaching, and so all students, teachers, and plus-ones-of-teachers are invited to go on safari in Kruger National Park, South Africa, from Sunday, October 7th to the morning of Sunday, October 14th.

But fear not, Fandomites! You will not be living in tents! This is a safari as Lovey Howell would book, and probably did. We will be staying two to a room at the Singita Boulders Lodge, where each suite comes with a private, heated swimming pool, double-sided fireplace, a private lounge, and a game-viewing deck. And yes, the animals come close enough to see from your rooms. You're more than welcome to create your own room posts in your personal journals just as you do with a dorm room post! Adults and students may sign up two (2) to a room. If you know who you'd like to share a room with go ahead and make a note in the comments below by Friday, October 6 at midnight PST. Otherwise, you will be RNG'ed into a room!

After a few days of safari-ing (totally a word), you'll work the imaginary kinks out of your fake backs by traveling from South Africa to the Seychelles, where you'll be staying at The Banyan Tree, where every pair will get their own villas, their own private pools (again. God. Spoiled children), and have the chance to go on a catamaran cruise, do yoga on the beach, get pampered at the spa or eat at the presumably fabulous restaurants at the hotel.

Fall break is fast approaching, and so all students, teachers, and plus-ones-of-teachers are invited to the tropical island of Newfoundland for a week of do-goodering in the historic city of St. John's, helping the local H4H chapter build some houses from Monday October 10th to the morning of Friday October 14th, at which point the trip will wrap up with a short cruise that'll bring us back to Fandom's familiar shores by Sunday evening.

Not particularly civic-minded? No worries! The construction project portion of the trip will be taking place during the morning hours only, while the afternoons will be filled with opportunities ~~to visit pubs~~ for tourism and other cultural experiences ~~in pubs~~. So characters can feel free to sleep in and "accidentally" miss out on the construction activity of the day.

As far as accomodations go, everyone will be staying two to a room at the Spa at the Monastery which is as the name suggests a full-service spa complete with an air-massage tub located in every room! You are more than welcome to create your own hotel room posts in your personal journals just as you do with a dorm room post! Adults and students may sign up two (2) to a room. If you know who you'd like to share a room with go ahead and make a note in the comments below by Saturday, October 8 at midnight PST. Otherwise, you will be RNG'ed into a room!

Please note, we are aware that Canadian Thanksgiving is Monday, but with PrincessCon on island until Sunday we didn't want anyone to have to make a choice of participating in one event over the other!

Hello students, teachers, and their significant others! The weather's turning cooler, the leaves are turning colors and you know what that means! Summer is over and fall is here! That, of course, means Fall Break is next week! This year, the administration would like you to join them for a week long trip to the Vail Ski Resort! Yes, starting on Sunday, October 10 and going until Saturday October 16 (with arrival back to Fandom on Sunday, October 17) and through the wonders of Portalocity, those students and faculty who wish to go will be transported to that magical resort in Colorado for a week of relaxation, skiing, snowboarding, spa treatments, shopping and snow! Yes, we will be modding the weather because we caaaaaaaaaaan and we want snooooooooow!

This whole shebang will be happening in

fh_trips so make sure you have that community friended. A post will go up every morning and every evening for your Vail activities of various varieties! As far as accommodations go, the school has rented out The Arrabelle at Vail Square in Lionshead Village. All students, teachers and guests will be housed, two to a room, in the premier rooms. Rooms will contain two queen sized beds. You are more than welcome to create your own hotel room posts in your personal journals since they'll act like your dorm rooms! Adults and students may sign up two (2) to a room. If you know who you'd like to share a room with go ahead and make a note in the comments below by Saturday, October 9 at midnight PST. Otherwise, you will be RNG'ed into a room!

Okay, maybe not that last one.

As far as accommodations go, the school has rented out several four bedroom cottages that will sleep two to a room.
