As promised, we're here to bring you the latest information about our new community center! Starting Saturday, June 19, the community center will be OPEN to be used by townies, teachers and students alike. The tag to use is 'community center' if you're going to have your character utilize the new building.

Now, for the good stuff. What's inside ye olde community center? Well, there's an auditorium area that's large enough to hold dances in (it's where our gala event/summer dance is going to occur). This room can be used for birthday parties, dances, or anything else that might need a large space. The community center will also be home to several smaller classrooms. These classrooms can be used for small meetings, clubs, get togethers, and smaller parties. Each classroom contains tables and chairs that can be used as seen fit.

There is also a day care center! Yes parents, your wish has come true. The day care center will be staffed with top notch NPCs that can care for your child while you're at work, on a date, or doing anything else that might require babysitting. The community center will also contain a computer center! This room will hold several computers that can be used for whatever the character might need. And lastly, there will also be a small library in the center. This library is staffed by an NPC and doesn't have quite the selection the school library does but it has enough to get by.

Please feel free to start using this new establishment as soon as it opens. There's no need to ask permission from the admins to use any of the classrooms or auditoriums unless it's going to be involved in a plot that you'd need to tell us about anyway, or the activity involves damage or permanent changes to the setting!

You heard about it, you talked about it, and now... Here it is! The construction of your community center is about to begin, Fandom!

Hold your applause, hold your applause.

Now all we need are people to build it. Starting Thursday, May 20, we will break ground--so to speak--on this project and ask for townies, teachers and alumni to pitch in and help build what will hopefully be a wonderful addition to our fair island.

A post will go up once a week on Monday and ANYONE can pitch in with the construction. ANYONE. Townies, teachers, students, visiting alums, anyone. If you are a student wanting help with the community project, this is where you'd wanna be! This construction will be taking place on 27 Chimera and will offer plenty of opportunity for ogling the pretty people on the island.

The NPC Construction Crew will be out each day though (even those when there's no post) so you can feel free to mod seeing the building going up. (They'll also be spending some time over on the new part of the island adding more business spaces on Godiva Street. There's not going to be a grand opening for those; they'll just be added to the map for new townies to set up shop in.) Once the building is completed on June 19, we'll make another post letting everyone know what's contained within the center and it will be open for business! We will also be celebrating the grand opening with a gala event in the form of a summer dance! This dance will be open to EVERYONE including townies, alumni and expatriates!
