Townie forms

Hey all, I'm going to go a bit OCD on you all right now. I'm still missing townie forms for the following people:

getupanddoit
spacepiratevala
splendid_aggie
exwatcher

My apologies if you have already sent in a form and I simply didn't receive it. Sometimes emails get lost when the redirect is working funny. Just send them directly to woodface @ gmail . com by next weekend and all should be well.

Thank you!

Directory forms

It's that time again where I start bugging people.

Could townies and teachers please make sure to submit a directory form and email it to usurpertex [@] fandomhigh [.] net? Old townies and teachers, feel free to submit any changes to your forms either by emailing me or submitting the information at the next town hall post (that's what they're there for).

New players wondering what town is all about can check out the ultimate townie guide. If there are teachers still looking for somewhere to live, please check out the personal ads where anyone can post if they're looking for a housemate or a new employee for their business.

And of course, Townie applications remain open. We're still looking for someone to take over the hotel or Turtle & Canary. If any townies are interested in helping to host the Sunday brunches, please contact me as well.

And because I'm not in the mood for pie, I will just say that FMA is a cruel, cruel series and I love it like... fries. Yes. Fries. There.
[identity profile] freelancerchick.livejournal.com
All teachers (ETA: who haven't done so already), please make sure to submit a townie directory form.

Stuff for Sale is selling survival gear and school supplies this month. Yes, the owners think that at Fandom those two themes are related.

Reminders!

[identity profile] freelancerchick.livejournal.com
1. Townie applications are still open until this Friday so don't forget to send something in!
2. I would appreciate it if townies and teachers would take a moment of their time to check out [livejournal.com profile] ft_directory and make sure that their forms there are still up to date.
3. Don't forget to use the personal ads to look for employees or a space to live.
4. Stuff for Sale has gone turkey crazy. Anything turkey or bad pilgrim costume related can be found there. Yes, even live turkeys. And for some odd reason there's also stuff that comes from Turkey. We blame the owner not being from Earth.

Announcement

[identity profile] freelancerchick.livejournal.com
Good morning! I have two things to address today.

1) Once that our new teachers have figured out where they will be living, please don't forget to send in a townie form. Check out the Classified ads if you need help! Thank you kindly.

2) You know how annoying it is when you really don't want school to start again and yet everyone you talk to and all the stores decide to rub it in your face anyway? Yeah, that's what's happening over at Stuff for Sale this month. They've changed to the traditional 'Back to school' theme.

And that was it from me. Have a nice day!

Reminders

[identity profile] freelancerchick.livejournal.com
I would just like to remind people that you still have another week (until July 24) to send in your townie applications.

And if new teachers could please send in their directory forms, that would be lovely. Thank you kindly.

That will be all! Have a nice and way too hot day!
[identity profile] fh-anonymous.livejournal.com
All new students and teachers, please fill out the appropriate directory form you will find here:

http://fh-directory.livejournal.com/31454.html

All teachers living in town should also fill out the special form for the Townies Directory here:

http://ft-directory.livejournal.com/24772.html#cutid3

All returning students and teachers, please check out your existing forms. They are all listed in the memories here:

http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=fh_directory

If changes need to be made, please leave a comment on your form (comments are screened) and I will make the appropriate changes. Don't worry if you just need your year changed, I will be correcting those as I go through the directory to make the updates.
[identity profile] freelancerchick.livejournal.com
As promised, there now is a list of established NPC businesses. These are all shops and bars that you can freely post to and have your character be at without having to wait for a player to put up a post. What we're trying to prevent is that random new stores keep popping up out of nowhere while there are perfectly good alternatives already in the game. Only NPC businesses listed on the map should be used in game. If you think we missed something or have a nifty idea for a new store that could add to town, feel free to email the administration. All ideas are welcome and will be considered seriously.

Please take a look at the list and you'll notice some changes. Our catholic church has now been reformed and is open to whatever christian branch you prefer. Got a different religion? I'm sure we can fit you in the church somewhere.

There's a new NPC store called Stuff for Sale. Sadly enough, the owner is a bit confused on how to keep the customers interested and he's found that changing his theme every month has proven effective. This month's theme is in light of St. Patricks and so he is selling anything that is even remotely related to Ireland.

We'd also like you to please take notice that something strange is going on at the Imperial Junke Yard. While you can still enter, there is an area sealed off by troopers. It's impossible to say what exactly is in there and no one will be able to find out unless the radiant Aeryn Sun takes you inside, but feel free to come up with your own wild theories.

As you have seen earlier today, our townie mod [livejournal.com profile] headologist put up a spiffy updated version of the townie map to reflect [livejournal.com profile] ft_directory. This map allows us to all have the same common ground to start from when we play the game. It shows you where you can go, what is where and it's just a great resource to start from. While the details are for the players to make up, the map is our foundation and allows us a nifty insight that will keep us from contradicting each other too much. So please, make good use of it.

Our directory is almost finished. Feel free to browse and take a look at all our shops, townies and residents.

The following people still need to hand in their forms. If I don't find anything in my inbox tomorrow, I will pull posting access until I do recieve it;

ascended_being
burger_boy_luke

New players get until monday to sort things out and get me their forms:

rup_giles (only business form is still needed)
goodtrevor
sexydoctor

[identity profile] freelancerchick.livejournal.com
Ack, you're making me do lists. The following people should get their directory forms in to me or at least let me know that they have officially left the game. Bribery might be a good idea as well.

allison_dubois
immortalamanda
ascended_being
burger_boy_luke
fast_eddies
freelancerchick (*shakes fist at this player who always causes problems*)
headologist
joel_sol
dr_tommy
jquayle
professor_lyman

Our newest players will also need to get me their forms in once they've sorted things out:

rup_giles
goodtrevor
sexydoctor
drlambert

Are there any teachers living in town that I'm missing?

So please, don't make me come hunt you down as it's no fun for either of us. And will in__boots and fast_eddies please shoot me an email as there are some things I would like to discuss with you.
[identity profile] freelancerchick.livejournal.com
Townies and residents, please do not forget to send in your directory forms.

Townie applications are now closed again. If you hadn't had a response yet, please be patient. We are still deliberating over the last few applications we recieved and we will get back to you asap.

Now for something entirely different )

OOC: New townies

Friday, January 27th, 2006 01:13 pm
[identity profile] freelancerchick.livejournal.com
Please welcome our newest members to the community:

Edmund Blackadder ([livejournal.com profile] blackadder_nth) will be opening a new general store
Lucas ([livejournal.com profile] notentirely) will be opening Empire Records
GIR ([livejournal.com profile] doomydoomdoom) will be seen around town and in Mauvaise Chance Apartments eating things

I advice new players to get their characters in town today if they want to take part in the weekend events otherwise you'll have to wait until monday.

Let me take a moment to remind all townies and townie residents to please send in your directory form.

Have a snowy Friday.
[identity profile] freelancerchick.livejournal.com
My first decision as admin is to bug you all and put you to work. I'm sure you're all happy to hear that. To bring some more order to the townie community, I'll be setting up a townie directory which is nothing more than a shameless rip off of what has been done for the students. I'm hoping this will give players and myself a better insight into what the town has to offer and who is living here.

Townies )

Business owners )

Residents )

So townies who own a business will have to actually send me two forms (ETA: one email will do fine, thanks for pointing that out, Sam). This really shouldn't take too long. Just keep in mind that these forms are considered to be IC. They'll go in an official directory that is accessible to the public.

The deadline to get these in is Monday February 6 and all forms should be emailed to usurpertex@fandomhigh.net. This gives everyone exactly two weeks to get things done. Which should be plenty of time. If I don't get in a form of you by that time, I will assume that you're no longer interested in playing the game and your membership of the community will be pulled.

I'd also like to remind new (and old) players to please make sure that the information on your bio page is consistent with what has been asked to be included upon your initial application.

Thank you for your attention. You can now resume your townie life. I might drop by to bug you again later as I'm still figuring things out and trying to get on top of what needs to be done. So please be patient with me.

I'm full of reminders today! I fear I may have forgotten something...

Anyhow: We are rapidly approaching the deadline for the Student and Teacher Directory Forms. It is tommorow. At 2 am, Central Standard Time (or Midnight, PST), Saturday the 7th, I will tabulate a list of all the folks that have sent in said forms.

Those who have not will have their posting accesses pulled from all communities, and a list of said offenders will be posted.

If the offenders then do not get forms in by 2 am CST (Midnight PST), Monday the 9th? Cut from the game. You've had plenty of warnings and plenty of time.

Ta-da. That is all.

EDIT Well, not all. If you want to double-check if you got your forms in? Check the directory itself. It has all the forms we have recieved in it. Check the Memories of the journal, or utilize the tags, for ease of search.
[identity profile] overlord-zordon.livejournal.com
Hey everyone,

Just a quick reminder to get your student/teacher forms filled out and sent back in to us at administration @ fandomhigh . net (without the spaces, of course) as soon as possible, so we can get the directory compiled and ready to go at the start of the new semester.

The forms can be found in this post.

Again, if possible, please send forms for all characters within a single email, and remember that the deadline for directory form submission is January 6. The sooner we get them in, though, the easier it will be on everyone.

Thanks to everyone who has turned in their forms so far, and for those who haven't yet done so, remember: have fun with them!

Could someone point me in the direct of the form we have to fill out for our characters? It was posted when I was overthreaded and I have no clue where it is, I just looked in the ooc comm and didn't see it *is probably just blind!*

Thank you in advance

Incomplete and based on old information, but here it is:

Let me know if you need to be added or if someone needs to be removed. I'll be working on an automated business directory shortly.

Faculty Directory

[identity profile] flinkmeister.livejournal.com
This is tossed together and nothing like I want it to be but I basically just refitted the code for the Student Directory and I hope to work out a slightly different interface for the future.

http://www.fandomhigh.com/academics/directory.php

There's still a few bugs I need to work out and features I'd like to add, but yay.

I'll be working on a Townies interface in the future, but the current database structure is school-oriented. I'm working a new version of the database that's more geared to the game overall, but it will take a while to get all the data in the system.
[identity profile] spyprincipal.livejournal.com
The Directory has been updated. I've removed all faculty from the listing in anticipation of them getting their own lookup. Any student without a grade level listed is one I haven't gotten a Student App from yet.

Student App

Also, you'll notice that we have a high level of sophomores and juniors right now (you can see this more clearly on the schoolyear listing: http://www.fandomhigh.com/byyear.php). Tiny senior class and only one Freshman.

Don't change your grade level based on this if it makes no sense with how you've been playing the character, but keep it in mind. The pecking order isn't very pecky at all.
[identity profile] spyprincipal.livejournal.com
I've made a read-out of all the classes (Freshman, Sophomore, etc.) so far. It'll self-update as I add more info to the database.

http://www.fandomhigh.com/byyear.php

We're a little heavy on Juniors right now. I'm taking volunteers to move up or down a grade level provided you haven't mentioned where you are IG. Just e-mail me at jack.bristow @ fandomhigh.com

ETA: These class listings are based on your Student Application forms. Unless you've turned one in, there's no need to change your status here.

E-mail Note

Sunday, October 23rd, 2005 05:33 pm
[identity profile] flinkmeister.livejournal.com
The Student Directory is not reflective of the existence of actual e-mail addresses. Please check the specific users userinfo. I will be changing this in the future, but for the moment, the Student Directory is not a good place to check for e-mail addresses for characters.

Furthermore, if you have fandomhigh.com e-mail address in your userinfo, and that e-mail addy hasn't been confirmed yet, stop using it. Mail sent there will not magically reach its destination by force of will, and there will be a lot of players who will want to know why you didn't get their communication.

For the record, the following e-mail addresses do not exist:

lana.lang
julian.sark

Also, I have murphy.macmanus misspelled. I'll fix that now.
[identity profile] flinkmeister.livejournal.com
1) If you've requested an e-mail address and I haven't gotten back to you, poke me here.

2) The School Directory is woefully outdated. If you're not in there and you should be, let me know. If there's someone who's in there and they should not be, let me know.

3) I'm very disorganized right now, which is IC but not fun. If you've volunteered to do a section of the website, sound off here with which section that is and if I've given you the go-ahead to work on it. I know there's at least one area where I've had multiple requests and assigned no-one.

4) Despite my previous freak-out, it's perfectly acceptable to link to the website from your userinfo, since your userinfo makes it perfectly clear that you are a character in an RP. Liability in that scenario is minimal. Thanks to the few kind offers to move the site, but the flipside of the coin is that I have to maintain this account for work purposes.
