Y'all. I have gotten two hours of sleep tonight and I'm supposed to wake up in an hour and a half so things are not going as planned. So I came up with questions. We last did this in October.

Pose a question (or as many as you'd like, and they don't all have to be in one comment, so you can come back later and add more if you want) to your fellow students, teachers, townies, alumni and expatriates, and they will answer them. These are IC questions and IC answers and should be truthful! They can be personal or silly. You don't have to answer all of them! Nothing counts in game, of course.

So, for example, I'd ping in with a question like 'Are you in love? If so, with who? If not, why not?' And people ping in under me and answer that question. There's no latesies on this, because of the format, so people can ping in at their leisure. And ANYONE can ask questions!

Hello, Fandom! Are you feeling nice and secure on your weirdness-free island? Well, too bad. Because from Monday, July 7th, through Friday, July 11th, Fandom is experiencing a LAUNDRY STRIKE.

That means that none of the washers or dryers will work all week - while temperatures rise and the amount of Clothing Incidents (tm) increase rapidly. Yes, there will be random mud pools around the island, and flocks of birds with GI problems, and - of course - the pizza is extra drippy this week.

And just to improve everyone's tempers, Friday night will see an island-wide fire drill. (Posted in the AM on Friday, so everyone can play all day.) Hope you still have some decent PJs left, everyone.

Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone! It's time to sign up for your Second Session Summer 2025 Workshops! These sign-ups are open to EVERYONE: students, teachers, and townies. Please read the following before you start signing up:

1) Teacher and Student Class Expectations! The all important guideline for what is expected of the players in Fandom High. Please give it a once-over even if you've seen it in some form or other before - consider it a good thing to click and read while I put up the OCD!

2) Japanese characters, please sign up in the Western style - given name, then family name - to make our alphabetical OCDing easier.

The Important Stuff About Signing Up For Classes

1) Since we've removed the cap on characters, we have also removed the cap on the number of classes your characters can sign up for, but please consider your RL ability to keep up before chucking a character at every class we're offering.

2) If you're a TA for a class, you need to sign up for that class. It will count towards your minimum 2. (Not you, recent grads.) Please note TA-ship in the sign-up for easy of making the class lists accurate. Teachers: please refrain from having your own character act as the TA as it defeats the purpose of having a back-up player to post for you!

3) If it's OOC for your character to take a class but you really want to take it anyway, just sign them up and we'll pretend it was an IG paperwork mishap.

4) If you sign up, please, please try to show up. It lets the mods judge if you're still in the game and it makes the work the teachers are putting into coming up with something fun to interact with so worth it.

5) Class descriptions are subject to change at the teacher's discretion.

6) To be fair to people in all time-zones, sign-ups are not first-come, first-serve.

I've had an emotionally exhausting couple days, it's been a year since we did this, and we just had luggage day so maybe people have things to say!

1. Comment with your character's name.
2. Other people will anonymously (or non-anonymously if you have no shame) comment back with a secret, a love, a worry, a fear, anything they have to confess to your character. This is allll IC.
3. Feel free to comment back to the confessor if you want.
4. Don't forget to check back to see who else has pinged in so you can divulge your innermost secrets to them!

Hello, island! Have you been comfortable lately? Well, we'll fix that, don't worry.

Come this Friday, May 16th a whole army of mini-godzillas will rise up from the sea! They've got to get to a portal on the other side of the island, folks, whoops.

On the way there, they will engage in fights at random. (They're just small and smart enough to avoid causing property damage.) They're, on average, somewhere between 7 or 8 feet tall, with some smaller ones here and there.

They'll have left the island when the sun goes down on Friday.

Hello everyone! It's the best time of year, when we get our dancing on and wake up to children! We're transitioning from Prom to a Spring Formal, which will be on Friday, April 18th, so get your outfits ready. The AU kids will be arriving on the morning of Saturday, April 19th and will stick around until Monday, April 21st.

You have the option of having children show up at any age from 3 through 17. Alumni can get in on the action too, as kids of theirs can also find themselves coming through the portal, landing in Fandom, and giving their very surprised parents a call. Or, if they are teenagers, roll their eyes, ignore being responsible members of society, and bop around the island having their own fun. The sign-up for AU kids is up in Plotterywheel, so get your thinking caps on for brainbreaky and adorable kids/teenagers and their oh-so-necessary icons, then trot on over there to sign up before Thursday, April 17th!

I'm going to spend the first part of my day being anxious and annoying, and things have been kinda quiet, so I went and adapted the Bland Headcanons meme we last did in 2015.

What are your characters doing all day? Do they have a routine? Is there anything they do every day? Every week? Are they at work even when you don't manage to post?

You can be as vague or specific if you want. Whether you want to break it down by a timed schedule or just state a bit of what their day is like, let's hear it!

So yeah, if you want to say "They spend a lot of time on a regular day reading, and they go to work on Mondays and then after they get off in the late afternoon they eat dinner and go to bed immediately," that's cool. If you want to do something like:

6:00 am: Wake up
6:09 am: Hit snooze again
6:18 am: Hit snooze again

From Sunday, February 23 to Saturday, March 1, Fandom's guests will be heading to the Waves Hotel & Spa, an all-inclusive resort in the beautiful Caribbean islands.

Good afternoon! With Valentine's Day approaching, it's time to order some flowers!

For a trip down memory lane about what the flower sale ends up looking like, see the most recent entries here. Carnations and roses are available in all colors and in any quantity.

Flowers can be sent to anyone, and can be sent from any character, including alumni and ex-pats. ICly, the flower orders will go through the Student Council (either in person or by e-mail for those who aren't local), with a note that all sales are final.

To make an order, leave a comment here (all comments will be screened) with the following information by 11:59pm Eastern on Thursday, February 13th:

Feel free to leave multiple orders in one comment! The flower deliveries will happen on Valentine's Day morning (Friday). Any questions will be unscreened!

It's February, which means Valentine's Day, which means... yep, you got it, sex pollen.

Sex pollen will flood the island from Sunday February 9th until Saturday, February 15th. The pollen amps up characters' hormones and increases their desire for sexytiems unless their physiology prevents it/people from their universe don't get affected by it/that yogurt they ate last week left them resistant/whatever reason you need if you'd rather opt out of the whole thing.

It doesn't make your characters do anything, merely amps up their hormones, and is not intended to cause any trauma regarding consent issues - whether you play with it or not is wholly up to you. Questions? Comments? Let us know below!

Oh my god I'm having the worst work week and my day blew up, please give me something to read. We did this last in May but I came up with a bunch of new questions because I'm a dork who does that.

Hello, everyone! This is just to let you know that next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will be a little holiday event for us, in lieu of a BDE this year!

The polar bears will set up a large tent that spans the entire park, inviting Christmas elves in to set up little booths and activities on Tuesday, December 24th and Wednesday, December 25th. There'll be cozy places to hole up with mulled wine and eggnog, but also arts and crafts classes - such as making your own snowflake decorations and building gingerbread houses.

On Thursday, December 26th, some of the booths and activities will magically disappear in order to make space for some Hanukkah-events - gelt and brisket, but also dreidel-carving and menorah crafts.

Have a cool idea for a holiday booth for any of these days? Let us know in the comments - and if you want your character to man that booth or for the admins to host it.

Sunday, December 15th: Buildings (non-living; Midnight can decide what it wants to be) are now gingerbread. Omnom. Eaten buildings will be fine in the morning, don't worry.
Monday, December 16th: Pushy mistletoe roams the island, attempting to bully people into kissing.
Tuesday, December 17th: All the rickshaws and Fandom wildlife are covered in (animal-friendly) fairy lights.
Wednesday, December 18th: Every screen on the island only shows the Yule Log.
Thursday, December 19th: Dreidel-betting, Fandom-style! Spinning dreidels show up across the island. Offer up some small token (or let it take a small token) and when it falls, you get a treat. What kind of treat? A random one. Could be great, could be disappointing, could be the last person's token.
Friday, December 20th: The island gets covered in ball pits. They are made of plastic Christmas ornaments.
Saturday, December 21st: The Coca Colar bears are back! And this time they're going carolling along with shoving soda at you. They will be sticking around the island from then on, though they'll be distracted by too many other activities to continue their soda-yodelling after that.

What If I Want To Teach Adults At The Community Center?

We are no longer offering classes at the Community Center! If you want to teach adults, fill out this form and write that your course is only open to adults. (Bear in mind that the "adults-only" classes will be happening near the high school-aged students, though, and don't plan anything so visibly unsavory that Zoe would chuck the class off the roster and your character off the top of Selkie Peak. Inappropriate shenanigans can happen with proper OOC warnings in the class - we're all adults here even if the characters aren't - but plausible IC deniability is the key.)

Sunday, December 8th: All the birds around fandom sing Carol of the Bells. Constantly.
Monday, December 9th: The weather report shows a 100% likelihood of tinsel showers.
Tuesday, December 10th: Every tap dispenses either mulled wine or hot chocolate. Er, hope you kept some spare water ready for your shower?

Character Road Trip

Step 1: Comment with your list of characters. Or individual characters. I don't care. You do what your like. I'm not the boss of you.

Step 2: Ping into other characters threads with one of your characters or a character from their canon.

Step 3: When you get a character suggestion, write a response with the road trip your characters would take, where they would go, what they would do and who is the best driver.

Step 4: Take a mini-vacation in your mind. Get a cocktail. Look at the beautiful vistas. So many vistas.

'Tis the season, everyone! We will be hosting a number of advent events over the next month, and doubling down on the warm and fuzzy.

Kicking us off on Sunday, December 1st, powdered sugar snow will come down from the sky and leave a fine dusting of holiday cheer everywhere. All NPC homes and businesses will magically manifest Christmas decorations, which will stick around for the whole season.

Monday, December 2nd: Shetland ponies in sweaters migrate onto the island for a day, wandering around, attempting to eat things they shouldn't, and generally making adorable, cuddle-able nuisances of themselves.
Tuesday, December 3rd: Everyone* gets a fireplace in their house, which seems to burn all by itself without being able to light anything on fire. Each home also gets a stack of blankets, for optimal cuddling by the fire.
Wednesday, December 4th: Delicious latkes appear whenever you open a cabinet. Or a drawer, sometimes.
Thursday, December 5th: Marzipan rains from the sky!
Friday, December 6th: Tiny little white horses (we're talking fairy-sized, here) roam around the island. Maybe they're looking for sweaters?
Saturday, December 7th: All shirts turn into hideous Christmas sweaters.

* all events that apply to individuals or individual houses can be waived as not applying to your character for whatever reason you'd like.

Hello everyone! It's time to weetiny! Students, teachers, and townies alike will wake up as pint-sized versions of themselves next weekend, November 23rd and 24th!

A quick reminder about how this works:

- Participation is completely optional.
- If you choose to participate, your character needs to wake up as a kid (edited to re-add ages 4-10) on Saturday morning and stay that way the whole weekend until waking up back to normal on Monday morning.
- The kids won't be terrified to wake up in Fandom, due to the wackiness. It's more like they've always been here.
- Clothing will be shrunk down as well, and all the weapons will turn into toys so no one can hurt themselves accidentally.
- This is open to alumni and expats as well!

Time to go hunting for stock photos of small children, pics of your PB as a child actor, or screencaps from a flashback episode! Questions, comments, witty stories?
