Daemon Weekend!

We interrupt your preparations for Parent's Weekend to give you another thing to think about for the weekend following.

Starting Saturday morning, October 3rd through October 4th, the island will suddenly house daemons! For anyone who doesn't know or hasn't absorbed the information through cultural osmosis, these are essentially the physical manifestations of your souls. In animal form.

As one does.

They can be whatever animal you like! Within reason. Please don't have a blue whale daemon, that would be baaaaad. Mostly for that poor, poor whale.

Do the daemons have to come from your character's own universe? Or, like, are porgs fair game for all?

(Not that I'm thinking Duke needs MORE porgs running around or anything.)

I wanna say try picking from animals that make sense for your canon, but this is also pretendy fun times. Make the case for a porg. Do it, you coward.

If I'm real old and did this before with a character (who I guess is also real old), can they have a new daemon? Or does it have to be the same one?

I have no familiarity with the canon. So if Barry's Daemon can speak better English than just pidgin English, is that okay?

I think that pidgin English reference in the wiki was a sort of one off for the particular character. In the canon, daemons learn their language skill alongside their human and by practicing with them as well.

So, yes! Regular English it is.
