Spring 2026 Class Sign Ups!

Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone! It's time to sign up for your Spring 2026 Classes! These sign-ups are for EVERYONE: students, teachers, and townies. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY. Please read the following before you start signing up:

1) Teacher and Student Class Expectations! The all important guideline for what is expected of the players in Fandom High. Please give it a once-over even if you've seen it in some form or other before - consider it a good thing to click and read while I put up the OCD!

2) Japanese characters, please sign up in the Western style - given name, then family name - to make our alphabetical OCDing easier.

The Important Stuff About Signing Up For Classes

1) Since we've removed the cap on characters, we have also removed the cap on the number of classes your characters can sign up for, but please consider your RL ability to keep up before chucking a character at every class we're offering.

2) If it's OOC for your character to take a class but you really want to take it anyway, just sign them up and we'll pretend it was an IG paperwork mishap. "Blame the moose" has been working for years!

3) If you sign up, please, please try to show up. It lets the mods judge if you're still in the game and it makes the work the teachers are putting into coming up with something fun to interact with so worth it.

4) Class descriptions are subject to change at the teacher's discretion.

5) To be fair to people in all time zones, sign-ups are not first-come, first-serve.

And now we get to what you really want to see: Spring Classes!!!!

FH class sign-ups will close at 11:59pm Eastern on Friday, January 2nd, and are IG knowledge at the Welcome Picnic.

General FYI: Feel free to make changes to your class choices as long as you do it before the deadline. We use the final pings in each thread to make the class lists, not the email notifs. Good cooking begins with simple steps - choosing the right ingredients, having the right tools, and knowing how to use them. This class will introduce techniques that can be used at any level of cooking expertise to improve the experience and end product. Class topics will include everything from buying produce to making palatable coffee, as well as the further application of the techniques learned.

TUESDAY

TUE: Period 1: Raiden: Feeding Yourself 101

Everyone has to eat, and man's wallet probably cannot live if man lives by takeout alone, so it's important to learn at least the basics of how to feed yourself. I can teach you.

TUE: Period 2: Skywalker & Tano: Ethics

Through theoretical examples and real scenarios, Ahsoka Tano will demonstrate how not to end up like Anakin Skywalker.

TUE: Period 3: Gambit: Basic Training

Do you have powers you don’t know how to use? That’s dumb, come to training. Don’t have powers but want to learn to use what you do have? That’s smart, come to training.

Get some target practice. Build teamwork or whatever. Work off some aggression. Don’t really care why. Come to training.

WEDNESDAY

WED: Period 1: Constantine: The Long Con

The Game. A con, a scam, a grift, a hustle, a bunko, a swindle, a flimflam, a gaffle or a bamboozle. When life gives you suckers, of course you make lemonade.

A confidence artist - or con artist - is someone who exploits characteristics of the human psyche such as dishonesty, honesty, vanity, compassion, credulity, irresponsibility, naïveté, or greed.

In other words, 90% of humanity is a con artist. But not necessarily good ones.

Whether you're looking to play the game or want to learn how not to end up as the mark, this class will look at famous con men (and women) and their games, to see how and why they work.

NOTE: Due to the lack of verbal filter, any class with John Constantine should be considered PG-13 on a regular basis, due to swearing. You are warned.

WED: Period 2: Aphra & Isabella: Creative Writing

Inside everyone is a writer just waiting to come out! So if you want to get your creative juices flowing, this is just the class to squeeze them out! No judgement!

WED: Period 3: Pryde-Barton: Glitter!

THURSDAY

THU: Period 1: Cara & Foster: Cinema Studies

Through a carefully curated selection of films, learn a true appreciation of the very best the world of cinema has to offer.

THU: Period 2: Blake: Norse Mythology

In this class we will learn about the traditional stories of the Norse gods, how they diverge from reality (as your teacher knows it), and also about how Odin is the worst.

THU: Period 3: Vess: Philosophy of Mana, Extended Edition

Oh, did you think the philosophy stopped after the the basic five colors? Absolutely not. Strap in because now we're going to discuss what happens when the colors pair up. Though this is an advanced class, you do not need to have taken the original class to sign up. The first five or so classes will be a repeat of the summer course for anyone who did not take it then. Unless no one new signs up, in which case, I have something else planned.

FRIDAY

FRI: Period 1: Rogers & Stark: Overcoming Obstacles

Sometimes life seems like an uphill battle of never-ending hoops to jump through, barriers to run around, and...tiny little balance beam things to cross over.

It's an obstacle course. A dog obstacle course. Come learn how to train dogs in agility! Please help. These dogs, they have so much energy.

FRI: Period 2: Thor: Combat 101

It is important to know at the least the basics of combat and self-defense, for you never know where life will take you. In this class we will explore both hand-to-hand and various weapons, for a variety of skill levels.

FRI: Period 3: Stark: Cupcakes of the World(s)

Travel the world through cupcakes! Or at least eat some internationally inspired cupcakes.
