SUMMER 2026 (SESSION 1) WORKSHOP SIGN-UPS
Saturday, May 9th, 2026 07:17 am1) Teacher and Student Class Expectations! The all important guideline for what is expected of the players in Fandom High. Please give it a once-over even if you've seen it in some form or other before - consider it a good thing to click and read while I put up the OCD!
2) Japanese characters, please sign up in the Western style - given name, then family name - to make our alphabetical OCDing easier.
The Important Stuff About Signing Up For Classes
1) Since we've removed the cap on characters, we have also removed the cap on the number of classes your characters can sign up for, but please consider your RL ability to keep up before chucking a character at every class we're offering.
2) If you're a TA for a class, you need to sign up for that class. It will count towards your minimum 2. (Not you, recent grads.) Please note TA-ship in the sign-up for easy of making the class lists accurate. Teachers: please refrain from having your own character act as the TA as it defeats the purpose of having a back-up player to post for you!
3) If it's OOC for your character to take a class but you really want to take it anyway, just sign them up and we'll pretend it was an IG paperwork mishap.
4) If you sign up, please, please try to show up. It lets the mods judge if you're still in the game and it makes the work the teachers are putting into coming up with something fun to interact with so worth it.
5) Class descriptions are subject to change at the teacher's discretion.
6) To be fair to people in all time-zones, sign-ups are not first-come, first-serve.
And now we get to what you really want to see: Summer Workshops! (Session 1)!!!!
FH class sign-ups will close at 11:59pm Eastern on Friday, May 15, 2026, and are IG knowledge at the picnic.
General FYI: Feel free to make changes to your class choices as long as you do it before the deadline. We use the final pings in each thread to make the class lists, not the email notifs. Questions or difficulties, please email us - fandomhighadmins (@) iambicnut.com - or drop a question in the Questions thread down below.
PLEASE HOLD WHILE I OCD.

What If I Want To Teach Adults At The Community Center?
We are no longer offering classes at the Community Center! If you want to teach adults, fill out this form and write that your course is only open to adults. (Bear in mind that the "adults-only" classes will be happening near the high school-aged students, though, and don't plan anything so visibly unsavory that Zoe would chuck the class off the roster and your character off the top of Selkie Peak. Inappropriate shenanigans can happen with proper OOC warnings in the class - we're all adults here even if the characters aren't - but plausible IC deniability is the key.)
What's Needed for a Class?

What If I Want To Teach Adults At The Community Center?
Not this time. As mentioned in the applications announcement, we're continuing the twist from previous summers: instead of having Community Center courses, we're going to have ONLY Summer Camp workshops that will be open to both students and adults!
Who can take your workshop will be up to the teacher, but the idea is that we want the teachers and townies to have the chance to participate in some of the fun, silly stuff that's traditionally a part of FH Summer Camp. So you can choose to run a regular students-only workshop, an adults-only workshop, or one that anyone can join, but they should all be designed with summer fun shenanigans in mind, and even the adults-only workshops will have the use of the FH campgrounds and school facilities.
(Bear in mind that the "adults-only" workshops will be happening near the students, though, and don't plan anything so visibly unsavory that Zoe would chuck the class off the roster and your character off the top of Selkie Peak. Inappropriate shenanigans can happen with proper OOC warnings in the class - we're all adults here even if the characters aren't - but plausible IC deniability is the key.)

Friday, May 3rd, 2024 09:48 am1) Teacher and Student Class Expectations!
FH class sign-ups will close at 11:59pm Eastern on Friday, May 10, 2024, and are IG knowledge for the Welcome Picnic.
Summer 2024 Workshop Proposals!
Tuesday, April 9th, 2024 10:08 am- If your character is a current teacher and would like to continue teaching, or a current townie who'd like to start or return to teaching, you DO need this form. Just scroll on down and fill it out below.
- If your character is an alum/expat who would be returning to the island to teach, first YAY, and second, you DO need this form. Please drop us an e-mail at fandomhighadmins@iambicnut.com to let us know you plan to bring the character back, then mosey back here to fill out the class proposal below!
- If your character was dropped from the game and you'd like to bring them back as a teacher, also YAY, but you'll need to do that by submitting a character application as described here and including your class plans in that. So congratulations, you DON'T need this form!
- If you are a current teacher wanting to move to townie status, just drop us an e-mail to say so; you also DON'T need this form. If your teacher is running away for good, tell us over here in the dropped character post.
What's Needed For A Workshop?
- The ability to come up with 7 weeks worth of classes.
- The ability to post each class by noon Pacific or 3pm Eastern the day it's scheduled (you can also post the night before).
- The ability to interact with your students (slow play is fine, you don't need to be around all the time).

Your adult character's form will need to be in these comments by Sunday, April 28th for great scheduling justice!

SPRING 2023 CLASS SIGN UPS
Wednesday, December 21st, 2022 10:51 amPlease read the following before you start signing up:
1) Teacher and Student Class Expectations!
3) PC classes are those taught by a teacher character, the things you're signing up for here, as opposed to the NPC classes, which you may handwave taking so that your student hasn't taken three classes for their entire high school experience.
The Important Stuff About Signing Up For Classes
1) Each student character MUST sign up for at least 2 PC classes. Since we've removed the cap on characters, we have also removed the cap on the number of classes your characters can sign up for, but please consider your RL ability to keep up before chucking a character at every class we're offering.
2) If you're a TA for a class, you still need to sign up for that class. It will count towards your minimum 2. Please note TA-ship in the sign-up for easy of making the class lists accurate. 4) If you sign up, you need to show up. Class attendance is how we keep track of your character's activity. If you repeatedly fail to at least sign in to your classes, we'll have to contact you about it, and you could be asked to leave the game.
5) Class descriptions are subject to change at the teacher's discretion.

SPRING 2023 CLASS PROPOSALS
Sunday, December 4th, 2022 02:00 pmIt's time for teachers to come up with new classes! Or old classes with a shiny new title!
Do YOU Need This Form?
- If you are a current teacher and would like to continue teaching, just read the next sections and fill out the form below.
- If you are a) a current townie who has previously taught classes, b) a townie who has never taught before but would like to now, or c) an alum/expat who would be returning to the island to teach, YAY. You just need to drop us a line (at fandomhighadmins@iambicnut.com) to let us know you're coming back, then mosey on down to fill out the class proposal!
If you are a current teacher wanting to move to townie status, also drop us a line and don't worry about filling out the class proposal part. Obviously. - New teacher characters should fill out the regular application and ignore this post entirely.
What If I Want To Teach Adults At The Community Center?
Community center classes, much like FH classes, can be whatever the teacher wants them to be. If you want to teach a craft or life skill, or hold weekly lectures on why your character is the most awesome ever, that is your choice. The key is getting other players (and their characters) interested enough to show up each week. The difference between community center classes and FH classes is that while we would require someone teaching a course as their job to post weekly, there is no requirement for a class to show up.
Any adult can teach a community center course just for fun, too, in addition to their regular job. Again, just fill out the form here and let us know so we can put it on a little schedule, so players can know in advance that there will be a class available in which to participate.
What's Needed For a Class?
- The ability to come up with 17 weeks worth of classes (16 + 1 exam).
- The ability to post each class by noon Pacific or 3pm Eastern the day it's scheduled (you can also post the night before).
- The ability to interact with your students (slow play is fine, you don't need to be around all the time).
Remember, not hearing from us right away is good - we will e-mail current/returning teachers to let them know their workshop works for us around the same time we send out final decisions on character applications.
Your teacher character's form will need to be in these comments by Sunday, December 11th (next week!) for great scheduling justice!

Your teacher character's form will need to be in these comments by Sunday, August 14th for great scheduling justice!

Please give it a once-over even if you've seen it in some form or other before - consider it a good thing to click and read while I put up the OCD!

(Session 2)!!!!
FH class sign-ups will close at 11:59pm Eastern on Sunday, July 3rd, 2022, and are IG knowledge through the weekend. (But I am going away for the week, so the admin-y spreadsheet will go up Wednesday-ish.)
