Fall 2025 Class Sign-Ups!

Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone! It's time to sign up for your Fall 2025 Classes! These sign-ups are for EVERYONE: students, teachers, and townies. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY. Please read the following before you start signing up:

1) Teacher and Student Class Expectations! The all important guideline for what is expected of the players in Fandom High. Please give it a once-over even if you've seen it in some form or other before - consider it a good thing to click and read while I put up the OCD!

2) Japanese characters, please sign up in the Western style - given name, then family name - to make our alphabetical OCDing easier.

The Important Stuff About Signing Up For Classes

1) Since we've removed the cap on characters, we have also removed the cap on the number of classes your characters can sign up for, but please consider your RL ability to keep up before chucking a character at every class we're offering.

2) If it's OOC for your character to take a class but you really want to take it anyway, just sign them up and we'll pretend it was an IG paperwork mishap. "Blame the moose" has been working for years!

3) If you sign up, please, please try to show up. It lets the mods judge if you're still in the game and it makes the work the teachers are putting into coming up with something fun to interact with so worth it.

4) Class descriptions are subject to change at the teacher's discretion.

5) To be fair to people in all time zones, sign-ups are not first-come, first-serve.

FH class sign-ups will close at 11:59pm Eastern on Saturday, August 30th, and are IG knowledge at the Welcome Picnic.

General FYI: Feel free to make changes to your class choices as long as you do it before the deadline. We use the final pings in each thread to make the class lists, not the email notifs. There are a lot of weird creatures out there. There are even more weird creatures that may or may not be out there, and a hell of a lot of creatures that are pure fabrication. We'll explore them all, learn which are real and which are not (so far), and discuss how to deal with them if you see them.

MON: Period 3: McGarrett & Skywalker: How Not to Drown

TUESDAY

TUES: Period 1: Atreides: Reclaiming Your Childhood

Those who arrive on the shores of Fandom Island often come from unusual circumstances, which have forced them to grow up too fast. However, there's no rule that says you can't still experience those traditional 'childhood' moments as an adult...

Together, let's create some moments that let us find wonder in our lives.

TUES: Period 2: Skywalker & Tano: Diplomacy

Would you like to defuse arguments after they've begun? Chat casually with beings from different backgrounds? Escape smoothly from boring, boring parties? Cause intergalactic incidents in 14 systems? Your teachers are marginally qualified experts at all of these skills! Come learn from the readily available the best!

TUES: Period 3: Stark: Dealing with Other People's Trauma

Everyone here (and everywhere else) is dealing with something. Maybe we can work together on that and help each other and ourselves.

WEDNESDAY

WED: Period 1: Aphra and Isabela: Space Pirates! (Pirates in Space!)

There's nothing better than being a pirate on the open seas. That is unless you're a pirate...in SPACE!

WED: Period 2: Blake: Health Education

If you don't know what a vaccine is or aren't sure if you've ever had one, you need this class. If you don't know how to use a condom, you need this class. If you've never heard of germ theory or a vitamin, I am begging you to take this class. We've made great advances in this universe in the field of not dying, and I want you all to benefit from that, both through an improved personal understanding of how to stay healthy but also by not taking the next smallpox back to your home dimension.

THURSDAY

THURS: Period 1: Raiden: Food Adventures

There's a whole wide world of food out there, and we're gonna explore it together. Sure, you've probably had Chinese, but what about Cambodian? Or Peruvian! So many great options... In this class, we'll visit (Earth-based, human) cultures through Portalocity and eat their food, and learn a bit about how the local culture and history influences what people eat.

THURS: Period 2: Rogers & Stark: Great British Bake Off (But American)

Your two teachers are very good at judging pastries and also watching television! How hard can teaching baking be? Ignore their last several attempts, they've learned from mistakes, and unlike certain people on TV, know how to pronounce guacamole! Clearly there's nowhere to go but up.

THURS: Period 3: Vess: Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse

This plane's media is overrun with zombie media. Most of it is preposterous (and paints zombies in an unnecessarily negative light), but some few of them do contain the occasional useful tidbit or two for surviving an undead horde. So come play survivor, darlings, and see what a horde of zombies led by a real necromancer can do. Hope you figure out food, water, and shelter quite quickly, because ready or not, here we come.

FRI: Period 1: Cara & Foster: Driver's Ed: Drive Fast

A comprehensive class showcasing the rules of the road with practical applications in order to use a vehicle on the mainland. (If time allows... maybe spaceships.)

FRI: Period 2: Thor: Weather & Storms

Storms are a necessary part of nature, and of life. They bring destruction, and nourish the earth. In this class we will explore them and the weather patterns that cause them, courtesy of the god of thunder.
