Hi y'all!

Tomorrow's assembly is being thrown by Alluka--who wants to clean up and decorate the island for Parents Weekend!

I've got admin-ly permission (thank youuuu) for this assembly to go island-wide and for all of the results of the clean up and decorating to last through the weekend.

What do I need from you?

a) Let me know if you're cool with your place of business/residence's exterior being cleaned and decorated!

b) I need a couple of ~stylish~ (they don't have to be stylish) volunteers to help Alluka be in charge of handing out completely moddable decorations. It really only means you get a title (Style Maven? Style Guru?) and other players are free to ask your character for decorating advice.

Just a quick reminder if you would like for your student or teacher to be a voluntold for our very first assembly tomorrow, to go over here!

Also, the paintball will expand into town and the NPC stores are fair game (with the obvious rules of no real, structural damage. You have modified paintball guns and won't be causing windows to explode or anything but you can definitely mod nailing the barista who gets your drink order wrong in the butt with green paint). While the school will have been divided into teachers v. students, the townies are under no requirement to play for one or the other! Team up with the students! Join your fellow adults! Shoot everyone indiscriminately from your sniper's nest on the top of an apartment building (possibly just my characters...)!

If you would like the PC shop/building you are working at tomorrow to be part of the madness, drop a note down here and in your post tomorrow! The fun will be taking place during the afternoon, if the bars would rather show up to a beautiful rainbow of color on their storefronts rather than defend them during the day, and Anakin will be going around in the wee hours of Wednesday night to get rid of the paint so everything is back to normal (such as it is) on Thursday!

Good morning/afternoon/and etc., Fandom!

Our very first assembly on Wednesday shall be hosted by Anakin Skywalker and his BFF, Aeryn Sun. They shall be teaching you about weapon safety via paintball guns (and water soluble paint because Anakin has met you people) and an overly elaborate obstacle course.

You can probably see how horribly wrong this will go.

The demonstration will begin with teacher and student volunteers and degenerate into a paint-covered free-for-all that will extend into town.

We are looking for a few volunteers--a couple of students and a couple of teachers--from the audience who can serve as instigators! If we get a bunch, we'll RNG our victims but everyone will be included in the ridiculousness.

We've got a few things to announce!

Firstly, the first floor dorm renovations are now complete. Feel free to use the new facilities starting now. :)

Secondly, we'll be having some fun with the free time on Friday afternoons. Starting this week - then continuing biweekly - there will be staff meetings held in the

fandom_lounge community. It'll be a post put up by one of the IC admins where teachers will be expected to show up, talk about work, students, upcoming events, and any problems with their jobs. There will be punch and pie. Hopefully neither punches nor pies will be thrown.

Every other week, the administration will be holding school assemblies. These will take place in the school auditorium and feature whatever kind of insanity we can come up with. Some weeks we'll have the opportunity for people to app a guest character, some weeks we'll have guests prearranged among the admin team, some weeks there will be no guests at all, and some weeks we'll do something a bit more... festive. Think the Friday Events from this summer adapted for the stage. Next week's theme? Motivational speakers.

We'll let you know stuff that you need to know for any of these events ahead of time.
