Hello folks! Next weekend (October 29th-31st) is Homecoming, and since it's also Halloween weekend, things are going to get a little spoOoOoOoky!
The theme of the dance is "Monster Mash Mask Bash": it's a costume ball, but very specifically you're invited to attend as the fancy formal-dress masquerade version of your favorite monster, whether generic (vampire), historical (Countess Bathory) or meta-fictional (everyone's favorite lesbian vampire seductress, Lacrimal Rent-a-Sink).
Now for the fun part: anyone, costume-wearing or not, who eats any of the candy being handwavily handed out at the community center will physically turn into a monster of their player's choice. The character doesn't necessarily turn into their costume, and they don't forget who they are or get overwhelmed by bloodlust or the need to haunt the cemetery. They just bodily transform into whatever would first come to mind when they think of a monster. You could end up with a werewolf dressed as Cinderella, or a tentacle-beast in jeans and a t-shirt! The transformations will last until midnight on Sunday, because that's how Halloween logic works.
Like previous Homecoming weekends, the carnival will be Friday, the dance will be Saturday, and we'll all get to have a likely very weird brunch on Sunday. Below are the signups for the carnival (alumni are allowed to sign up!), and a spot to ask questions about spooky monster stuff.
