Random Event: Emotional Baggage! Also: AU Weekend

Thursday, May 29th is Emotional Baggage Day! Yes, characters will encounter random pieces of baggage with their personal traumas nailed onto them (or anything else they would label emotional baggage) in a nice, big font. Enjoy.
Saturday, June 7th and 8th will be AU Weekend! And if you want to know more about that, details are under the cut:

AU Weekend's a Go and Other Important April Stuff!
Friday, March 29th, 2019 08:53 pmsith_happenedEveryone's applications are fine for the weekend, and while we have your attention...
- April 8-12 is Ye Olde Traditional Sex Pollen Week leading up to....*drumroll* AU kids on April 13-15th, (after Prom on the 12th) so get your crack pairings and AU kiddo icon-finding skillz busy. We'll put up sign-ups for that later next week.
- Applications are due by April 21st!
- Graduation will be April 27th, so think of your potential guests, graduates, and next week we will also be asking for your plans for the summer!
- Which doesn't mean we've forgotten about the BDE, which will take place this year in the week (April 29th-May 2nd) between graduation and newbies just to make your characters irritated!

Thursday, March 14: To celebrate Pi Day, the pi-rats (rats dressed in pirate costumes, naturally) will be making their annual appearance.
Sunday, March 17: To celebrate St. Patrick's Day, you will be doused in Lucky Charms every time you open a closet door.
Wednesday, March 20: We are bringing back the Icon Roulette random event. Instead of choosing the icon most suitable in a conversation, you hit the "random icon" option and then let your conversation partner react as you become naked/an animal/a different gender/heavily armed/kiss them!
Saturday, March 30-Monday, April 1: And finally, to celebrate April Fool's Day, we're bringing back AU weekend. We'll put up sign-ups closer to the date, but we wanted to give you some time to start thinking up alternative universe counterparts for your characters!

BDE Date Announcement & AU WEEKEND!

First of all, we'd like to let you all know that this semester's BDE is set for December 18th through 21st. This means it will run a little into finals week - the Friday, to be precise. There's a specific plotty reason for the timing, we promise, and we'll let you know more about that sometime next week - we'd just like to get the warning out well ahead of time.
Second of all, it's time again for Fandom Island to go alternative! On December 5th and 6th (right over Saint Nicholas weekend, sob), your character may be transformed into a different version of themselves as a result of Fandom weirdness!

3. YOUR AU-PERSONA WILL NOT FREAK OUT ABOUT BEING IN FANDOM!
And because this just cropped up...
If you have a sub-plot that you are thinking of doing this weekend and haven't run it by the Admins yet? Or mentioned in the sign-up thread?
Might want to ping them via IM or E-mail to make sure it is kosher. Like ASAP.
And a couple of notes:
