So...the Green...what's it like? And is it okay if I'm a little envious?

It's... like feeling like a part of something. It's hard to explain, honestly. We're all connected to it in some way or another, most of us just can't feel how it touches us.

We're all ecosystems onto ourselves. We exhale and the trees inhale. It's the same for all of us, but I can see it down to the root of it. I can hear it - the satisfaction of a leaf unfurling in the nourishing sun, the scream of a rainforest being torn from the ground. It's pain and it's joy. It's inside of me, and it's out there; it's small and it's big.

I don't genuinely know how to describe what it's like. I just know that when I can't feel it, there's a void in me that hurts me down to my roots.

(Of course it's okay. Anything you feel is okay right now.)

What's been the hardest thing here to get used to?

How much of everything there is? Everything's so bloody loud and happening all the damned time. And every time I think I have a grip of it, we go somewhere and there's a different kind of loud and happening.

I'm not actually much of an introvert at all, but this time makes me want to sit by myself or with Pebbles for a bit quite frequently, just to get some calm.

Right, so, of all the dreadful inconveniences of modern life, such as having to get up early because of contractors, which one is the worst?

Which one could drive you to murder?

And which one have you been freed from because of the joys of having a romantic partner you can force to do these things for you?

Getting up early because of contractors was a nightmare, but fortunately a nightmare I have since recovered from.

The worst is the 'fast' aspect of so much of Earth's goods and services. The clothing is cheap and ill-fitting and there are no seamstresses or tailors to fix it, the furniture is cookie cutter and flimsy, and don't even get me started on the state of women's shoes and pockets. There's no pride in craftsmanship anymore, no artistry, nothing built to last more than a few years. It's shameful, really.

The one that could - hypothetically, of course, or at least as much as any of you can ever prove - drive me to murder are spam callers. Ugh. I do not know how they got my number but they'd better lose it fast before I design a spell that can trace the call back and rot their insides. Actually, Tony, darling, are you busy...?

And cooking, definitely. It may shock you, darling, but I am dreadful in the kitchen. Left to my own devices, I would end up subsisting on takeout and whatever cheap and easy meals that I could scavenge in my kitchen. And this world has a lot of cheap and easy meals. But, for the most part, I only know of them in passing, because Ignis would set fire to the kitchen before letting one be heated up in it. (whurr whurr)

How... do you feel about what happened? And why would you draw from your own grove - risk your own plants - to save me?

I'm still processing what happened. It was a lot. But, no, I don't think worse of you. How could I? Great Forest, Pam, did you forget that I've seen you work yourself near to death trying to fix things? Make them better? You were willing to die to fix it. That's a commitment that a lot of people can't match.

And if you don't know why I'd risk my Grove for you, you haven't been paying attention. You're my friend. I don't have so many of those that I'm willing to just let one go without doing everything I could to save her.

So, thoughts so far?

It's better than I'd even hoped. You're a grounding presence, and trust me, as someone very in tune with the land, I can't stress how important that is. And I love that you have questions and aren't shy about asking them.

Like I said, you're in love with the whole universe and I'm really happy I get to be next to you, introducing you to more of it.

If you had to pick somewhere to stay, where would it be? And who would it be with?

I'm actually not sure! If I could do what I need to do here, I'd love to stay and bring my friends here, but I know that won't be possible. And I haven't found anywhere at home that I'd like to stay.

At this point, I don't know if it would be possible. I see you as a friend, and that isn't something I give up. I'm also intimately familiar with the lengths people will go to for what they think is right. At worst, I might see you as misguided.

You had to, didn't you?

I don't know, all right? I was born into the Sith Empire, I was raised Sith, I was unapologetically Sith for my entire life. Then the head of the Dark Council, possibly the best Sith I know, comes back from the dead to teach the Commander that maybe we need to adjust our beliefs.

And the Commander, possibly the best person I know, has never exactly been a typical Sith, so there's that to take into account, too.

I have always valued the truth and learning as much as I can. And now that includes, apparently, trying to learn things I was taught all my life were wrong.

I don't know that I'll ever be comfortable using the Force in ways other than the traditional "Dark Side". But damn it, that doesn't mean I'm not going to try! It's interesting, and a challenge, and power. I'm not giving all that up for old prejudices.

And more than anything, I don't want to be constrained by old beliefs in a way that stops me from growing. Because ironically enough, that would be against those beliefs.

So yes, I have no idea.
