I am stupid tired after work today and I need to read some meta to get me back on my feet. Please donate to this charity.

Pose a question (or as many as you'd like, and they don't all have to be in one comment, so you can come back later and add more if you want) to your fellow players about the game or their characters, and they will Wall-of-Text if they want to, look, I know how some of you are answer them. They can be personal or silly. You don't have to answer all of them! Nothing counts in game, of course and etc.

I finished plotting out Liliana's next canon catchup(s). The PLANNING doc is nine pages long and that's just where I break down the fictions and plot them out day by day. It's also full of stupid little jokes because I think I'm fucking hilarious.

What's been the most surprising piece of character development to happen to you lately?

I figured putting Rey through August was something to deal with last year, and then I wasn't thinking about the date when I posted something off island when I was out of town, and regular gameplay ended in her going through it again. But it ended up being kind of nice to see how far she's come since last year!

What do you do when you run out of canon? Do you struggle or is that when the fun starts?

They almost always get dropped. Rey I can keep around because someday something is coming, and Jaina's a weird outlier where I ended up giving her actual plots based on where canon should have gone.

Which of your characters is the most traumatized?

Jaina and it's not close. But she's also the most well-adjusted about it, go figure.

... and how do you handle that trauma? Do you like focusing on it, making it worse, or doing the big healing arc?

My kids' trauma doesn't need to be made worse. I do like making them really sit with it, though. I don't plan it at all, I just like to see how they work through it.

What's one piece of character development you really want for one of your characters that just hasn't had the right circumstances crop up yet?

I really, really need Sabine to get into the stuff that happened to her between her leaving Fandom and coming back. She's sitting on so much trauma and I haven't been able to touch on it at all.

Which of your characters would get along and which absolutely wouldn't? Feel free to drag dropped characters into this also if it's more fun.

All of my current characters would get along, though Kitty kind of just tolerate Jag. It'd be boring.

And adding in old characters, my god would Aeryn and jaina love each other.

What do you do if that One Thing You Really Need For Your Character Development just never happens?

This is my fear with Rey and the answer is "I don't know."

How do you feel about playing characters from a completely different setting (not modern day or completely alien)?

I've apped from Star Wars so much that I don't really think about it anymore, but I like when things pop up for them to learn about. I don't have any characters who learned about Santa and didn't think the whole planet was weird.

How are you at initiating RP plans?

Pretty great, imo. I kind of figure it doesn't happen unless you ask, so go for it.

I do get the "omg what if they say no" panic sometimes though. (which is also why I think all my ships only happened when it was glaringly obvious, lol.)

Did you have a definitive moment when you first joined where you thought "yes, this game is for me"?

It was really early in the game, maybe the first week, and I somehow got pulled into a post at Ching Tai with I think Veronica and Zero and a bunch of others and I thought "this is super fun and I'll definitely play here until I forget about it in two weeks."

How do you approach your characters' sexualities?

Honestly I just seem to mostly gravitate to canonically queer characters these days to begin with. But I've always leaned towards the side of bi if they're straight and whatever their canon sexuality is if they're not (Pam is a Kinsey 5, Henry and Lucifer are canonically bi, Atton is 'honestly probably canonically bi considering canon but that was a hard sell in the mid-aughts', Jesse is a shrug emoji).

Your characters can't be onscreen all the time. How much of an idea do you have of what they're doing when they're not being played?

I have a pretty fleshed out idea of what everyone is doing when I'm not dealing with them.

Where do your characters get all their money? Do you try for realism or is money not real?

Gray and Raiden are 'money isn't real' level rich thanks to Castor (Greed) mastering the stock market early on, so I never have to worry about that with them.

Lydia is spending her patroness's money, plus she's bad at figuring out the conversion rate from 1811 to the modern era, especially since it's not just a matter of converting Regency pounds to modern dollars; some things are way less expensive now, relatively, while others are way more. Miss Lambe hasn't told her to stop yet, so she mostly operates as if the numbers don't matter, as well.

Money is real to Thor and Don, but they don't really have to worry about it. They have access to Don's accounts, plus they both have jobs, and they don't spend ridiculous amounts of money at present.

My newbie, Erasmus, has a rich dad but feels awkward about spending his money (even though his dad would LOVE for him to feel comfortable spending his money) for reasons that will become clear.

Have you ever regretted fixing canon?

I disliked Jag so much that I originally tried to write him out of/diminish him in Jaina's canon catchups. Then as the books went on and it turned out I loved him lots I took a hard detour from there.

Do you have a favorite spring/fall break trip that we've been on?

I have a real soft spot for Mexico, the first regular one we ever did. But also the Seychelles, with the room party with fuzzy liquor and iirc, camel stealing.
