Clubs post time!
So it's that time of year again. Students have been required to either have a job or an extracurricular, and the same goes for this semester.
If you have an idea for a club, E-mail this little form off to fates_jaye@livejournal.com and it'll get added to the signup list. Remember that this is a high school, and if your club is somehow inappropriate for that setting, it may not be included. Also, if you don't know the date and time of your meeting, mark it TBA and I'll throw it in an open spot in the club schedule. All clubs need to be registered by Sunday, February 4, even if they were around last semester.
Club Name:
Description:
Club head(s) (must be a student(s)):
Faculty advisor:
Date/time/location of meeting:
Chess Club
Speech and Debate Team
JROTC
Mock Trial
Science Club
Basketball team
Computer Club
Improv Club/Drama Club
Deep Thoughts Club
Flight Club
Archaeology Club
And we have P.R.A.T.S. - Proud Republican and Tory Students
OOC explanation: in 2005 we had a club called the Junior Achievers who were essentially a bunch of bad guy and morally gray characters who banded together to do things for the community. In reality, it was Angelus keeping his friends close and his enemies closer. In the spirit of that group, which was so much fun, PRATS will be led by Hades and will essentially be (to use a Harry Potter reference) the Slytherin of Fandom High. They'll put on a good show, but Hades will definitely be cultivating a small army over the next year or two or three. Your character doesn't have to be evil or a bad guy to join. If you want your character tempted by peer pressure and power, this is the place to be. If you want to play hero and rat us out, please don't join. It's all a bit of fun, and they won't be doing or saying anything that's omgbad. They simply have a different moral compass, that's all.
IC explanation: A select society run by Vice Principal Hades that encourages team work and excellence in all areas of school life, as well as promoting leadership skills and giving back to the community.
There will be a club fair on Monday, February 5 in a post that will go up the night before, and you'll be able to sign up for things then. Participation in clubs can be handwavey. You're asked to do no more than you do for class, which is just to sign in. Note: Being a library aide, TA or on a sports team does count as extracurricular.
As a reminder, all clubs should be posted in
fandomhigh, and not the dorms comm.
Please do not sign up to run a club you have no intention of keeping up with it. If you want to try meeting every two weeks so you don't run out of ideas, that's fine. I highly recommend either getting another student to run it with you, or contacting your faculty advisor to put up the post if you can't/don't have something to do for it.
