Where, Oh Where, Does My Little Post Go?

There's a lot of journals associated with the game, and this is just a quick refresher on what goes where!

[livejournal.com profile] fandomhigh The only posts in here should be classes, clubs, announcements over the PA system, and other official school activities.

[livejournal.com profile] fandomhighdorms is for posts in the school that aren't official school activities, on school grounds, and any public spaces inside the dorms. Common room posts, posts on the grounds, visits to the gym, salle, or shooting range, stables, hallways, stairwells, etc etc go in here.

[livejournal.com profile] fandomtownies should be used for any posts set in public places other than school or school grounds --the Preserve, around town, the park, the beach, coves, rocky bits etc. All businesses go in [livejournal.com profile] fandomtownies. Common areas of townie residences (the lobby, living room, porch etc) may go into personal journals or [livejournal.com profile] fandomtownies, depending on how open the post is. Use your common sense, here.

Personal journals should be used for posts in personal living spaces (dorm rooms or a townie's apartment, The Arms hotel rooms), teacher office hours, out of town posts that don't go into [livejournal.com profile] fh_trips (see below), random OOC posts or availability notices, or the occasional post that wanders around so much that it's easiest just to keep it in one place.

Posts that are primarily links drops for your character should ALWAYS be in your personal journal.

Private posts in public places

All good rules have exceptions! Posts that are in secluded parts of public places - i.e.: a private part of the beach, a clearing in the preserve, a secluded part of Selkie Cove, etc, that are not open posts (they might simply be establishy or locked to specific people) can go in your personal journal.

If a post is open to anyone, and is set in an open and public location, it needs to go in the correct community journal.

Examples:
A post set in a secluded nook of Selkie Cove locked to one other character - personal journal.
An open beach post - [livejournal.com profile] fandomtownies.
The picnic tables outside the dorm buildings - [livejournal.com profile] fandomhighdorms.
A specific clearing in the Preserve - personal journal.

The common sense rule applies here, as well. If you want to have your character in a public place, but limit interaction in the post to only a chosen few, don't take up the whole place in your post. Instead, set it in a secluded part of the area, leaving the main area available for other characters to play in. The Preserve, Selkie Cove, Serenity Cove, the beach - all have plenty of secluded nooks and crannies for your private needs!

[livejournal.com profile] fh_trips is for large group outings. Big group outings to a ball game, a road trip to Vegas with a lot of friends, class field trips, that kind of stuff. You need admin permission to use [livejournal.com profile] fh_trips.

[livejournal.com profile] fandomhigh_ooc is for general things of an OOC but non-personal nature - updates on the friending list, informational posts on group outings or events, hints, tips and tricks, or OOC administration announcements (like this one!). Player availability posts should always go in your personal journal.

[livejournal.com profile] fhplotterywheel is for plot proposals, recruitment and information.
