Researchers for Thursday!
The research has gotten a good start today, but Thursday is the day where the researchers really get to shine. This day we're going to find five major clues that will lead to the away teams being sent out late Thursday night. People have already been asked to find the clues which are:
Any questions on the research? Away team information will be coming up shortly in another post. Pie? Cheesecake? Pi?
*A story about a crazy, old man living in the Western African desert who disrupted a film crew who were trying to shoot a movie because the angel statues they were setting up destroyed his life.
* The letters of Willow Rosenberg in with a lot of other twentieth century books, diaries, and papers on an Auction House website.
* Advertisement about the Museum of Natural History (NY) and an attempt to get more funding in order to show more exhibits such as the Winchester journal containing American "folklore". Including a picture of the open journal containing info about the angels.
* An obituary for Wade Wilson contained in an article on wacky architecture.
* Found on the internet: News story about the Chicago asylum most famous for housing the Angel Man - the one who claimed he was sent from the future by angel statues.
Five characters are going to find the above clues (which I just gave the gist of there), but there is still plenty for the other researching characters to find both on the internet and in books. Anyone can find stories about angel statues appearing right before there are reported disappearances. This can be in anything from ridiculous conspiricy theories about angels and religion to philisophical discourses about how the statues are only noticed when people start looking for hope - and that the angels are the messengers of that hope. Feel free to make up as many ridiculous - or not so ridiculous - theories as you like.
Anything from religion - the angel in the Garden or the messengers to Mary and Joseph to religious artwork is fair game. Anything from the supernatural, ghosts, messengers from beyond, and all conspiracy theories therein. Anything from art and architecture, psychiatry, psychology, history, etymology or any other discipline you'd like to pull from.
This is your opportunity to go wild and crazy with the research theories. Build up the general knowledge base on angels and help each other figure out what you're actually looking for.
Tomorrow night, there will be a town meeting where the results of the research will be delivered to the Principal and the idea of Away teams will be established in game to be sent off with great fanfare and hope!
