State of the Characters

This is a...sort of meme. Basically, what this meme is for is to give the game at large an update or a summary of what's going on with each of your characters. Romances, classes, upcoming plots, things you might want to do with them in the future, crushes, people you want to thread with, etc.

It's basically a paragraph or so about where your character stands, what's coming up and what the future holds! You can do a comment for each character or stick all your characters in one comment.

For example: Umbridge: Sometimes, it's hard for me to play her because she's so intensive and tiring. But, she's having fun hexing students and pissing off teachers. I'm enjoying her games of give and take with Anakin and Wade, particularly. I'd love to see her thread more with Roy. She'll be leaving soon but not before a big explosive ending.

It doesn't have to be exactly like that but that's basically the gist. Feel free to reply to each other if you have thread ideas or even plot ideas. So, go forth and share!

Rikku: AC plot (points to Reno's journal) is going to mess her up for a bit, especially as she's realizing she's getting more and more into gray areas, morally. And the whole mess with Reno, himself, is gonna get complicated, for reasons I'm not going to spoil. She's worried about what's going on, back home, with the rise of New Yevon; there will be plot of her going back to deal with that, at some point, but she has AC plot right now and someone else's in a couple of weeks and she'll shoot me if I try to put her through her own any time soon.

Alice: Is far lonelier than she will ever admit. Has trouble reaching out to people, as she's weird and unsettling, even by Fandom's standards, and "I was in an asylum" has caused people to stare somewhat awkwardly at her. So she retreats further inward, as she always has.

[identity profile] senor-chado.livejournal.com 2008-10-05 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Chad just always wants to give Alice lots and lots of hugs.

And more music.
raspberryturk: (Hmm.)

Reno: With the Advent Children plot going on at this very moment, Reno's future is very up-in-the-air, both as a Turk, and as his own person. I foresee things getting messy before they get better, which makes me worry that he'll become difficult to play. But up until now, he was very much his own person, and he'd pretty much write himself, so I'm focusing on keeping that worry to a minimum. It's entirely likely that he'll be burying himself in Bigger Things in order to keep from burying himself in his old, self-destructive habits of drinking and picking fights and keeping everyone at arm's length. BUT HIS CANON WILL BE COMPLETE WOO!

Warren Peace: I have no freaking clue. He's sort of just been a drifter character since he started, and he's been difficult to get out and socialize, mostly because he doesn't want to get out and socialize. His employment at Cafe Fina was a ditch effort to get him out more, as is his membership on the staff of the school paper. I have no clue what to do with him.

Valentine: Third Verse, same as the first. Valentine was going to have this EPIC post-graduation storyline about him finding his place in the world as a director of film and stage. And the day I was going to post his first audition, the Boards went up and I didn't want to copycat. So he's stuck in waiter-limbo with a townlumni significant other until I figure out what in the world to do with him.

[identity profile] elephantgadget.livejournal.com 2008-10-05 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Helen's always glad to spend time with Warren and drag him out places if you want. :)

[identity profile] clevermsbennet.livejournal.com 2008-10-05 07:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Miss Eliza Bennet: Has started to enjoy her stay in Fandom. Would like to get out socializing more, especially with her fellow teachers and the townies. (It would help if she wasn't dead-set against ever setting foot in Caritas.) Particularly Biff, since they have a strange somewhat-flirting rapport.

In the future, she's going home for bits and pieces of her canon, such as the hideous Mr. Collins proposal, and Jane will be coming for Parents' Weekend, which makes her squee, which is a funny word to use in re: Eliza. And I'd kill for a Darcy.

[identity profile] kestrelswolf.livejournal.com 2008-10-05 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Firekeeper: Her voice is both easy and difficult- in the sense that it's there and I have no problems bringing it out... but her grammar makes my head hurt on occasion. She's made a few good connections in Fandom so far- some expected, some not so much. She misses her pack back home, but isn't too terribly worried about her human friends. There's still some stuff involving an insane jaguar and a war or two that she needs to get through, but that will involve a big chunk of time away from Fandom, so I haven't decided when or how that'll happen.

[identity profile] joan-notjane.livejournal.com 2008-10-06 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
There needs to be more Joan & Firekeeper interactions.

Jaina just needs to cry or something already because she is freaking me out. I guess I should be glad she's still holding up with everything that's been thrown at her? (That I threw at her, fine, okay.) She's actually working through things pretty well, in large part thanks to John and Ben, but she's got a way to go. Luckily she's got a while before the next whammy of a canon catchup.

And she's really really not looking forward to her boyfriend graduating though it's probably a good thing she can see that far ahead, and she feels really really guilty that she is kind of starting to think maybe it wasn't a bad thing that Jacen died because the future versions of him she's seen/heard of scare the hell out of her.

Ichigo is being Ichigo. He's being as stubborn as ever and is doing his best to pretend that everything is okay, dammit. Inside he's got a whole pile of doubts, not to mention an inner hollow that keeps pushing at him and trying to take over his soul.

I have no immediate plans (only a plan to get through more canon some time next year). He needs to get out a bit more and bug more people. I am enjoying watching Ino and Angela break his brain on a daily basis. I would love to get some more excuses to use his powers and get him into more tight spots trying to keep his secrets. I just don't have any definite plans right now.

He'll be researching that. Sort of. If anyone wants to offer help, go for it! I'd like to thread him with Cal again because they get along really well.

My friend, I cannot help but assume that there are greater forces at work here when those sentiments are so closely together. *cough*

Gavin: He's my quietest pup but he's content. He's got the people he loves and that's about all he needs besides the ability to fly. But, he's got Flight Club which hopefully will rectify that. I don't have any plans for him and I kind of like it that way. He'll be graduating soon and going back home to help fight the war because that what he wants to do more than anything. He'll continue to antagonize John Sheppard and tease Karal and that's kind of how he likes it.

[identity profile] decoder-rings.livejournal.com 2008-10-05 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)

Hannibal: He's the most easily socialized of all my characters. He loves people, loves talking to people, and loves being around people. Sometimes, he can make me tired because he's always ready to be played and I have to ignore him in favor of other characters. His canon doesn't really allow for canon catch ups so he'll be chilling in Fandom, enjoying himself. He's really enjoying his dates with Alice and he likes being around her. He's got the little crush on Angela too. He likes messing with Ender a lot. A LOT. He needs more threads with Chuck Bass because they're a riot together. He'll probably continue to poke at Dean too because Dean so started it. He'll continue to happily TA for Professor Dex and he will never ever let Professor Dex forget his stint at Cher. His plans consist of socialism, girls and the frat, at this point.
gobrookeyourself: (up to something)

Brooke: Needs to get out more, I know. She'd be upset with me that her double is my primary if she weren't fictional. (Ha ha, sucks to be her.) When I do get to play her, though, I love it and I love actually having a character who will freak instead of beating on something and she's so easy (no jokes plz) and I'm still amazed that she and Peter Petrelli pulled off the friends with benefits thing without it ending in tears.

That being said, I need more reasons for Brooke to cry. And because she's from OTH, she may need a pregnancy scare or to get tested for an STD in order to stay IC. (I'm actually not kidding. Have we SEEN this show?)

[identity profile] darkangelsawyer.livejournal.com 2008-10-05 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)
And she so has to give Peyton a hard time about the demon kissage.

[identity profile] just-add-starch.livejournal.com 2008-10-05 08:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Fraser: I have no idea how Fraser got to be so loud and so consistently played. For awhile, he was quiet and I was seriously considering dropping him. And then we got an awesome influx of faculty and I got off my ass and started throwing him everywhere and it did wonders for how I felt about playing him. He's got Robin, he's got Wade, he's got Ray and he's really happy they're around even if he doesn't tell them in so many words. I don't have any plans for plots for him because I've just gotten done torturing him with Victoria and he deserves a break. His one year anniversary is coming up with Robin and he's a little worried about what happens after since it'll be a first for them both. I love threading him against Cable because they're both so solemn and serious and it's like a contest. He's the new frat adviser and I am way more excited about that than I should. He's happy and he's not alone and that's a big change for him.

[identity profile] fantastic-torch.livejournal.com 2008-10-05 08:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Johnny: He's very easily played because I enjoy the cocky, arrogant, d'uhness that is his canon. However, I just don't feel him anymore. His arrogance got old and 9 times out of 10, I want to smack him. When I do play him, I enjoy myself but my enthusiasm for him can't be intrigued by any canon catchup. So, he'll keep going on as he is and then happily graduate and return to New York.

[identity profile] stocksgrrl.livejournal.com 2008-10-05 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Turtle Wexler: Now that StuCo elections are over and (thankfully for everyone) successful, Turtle is enjoying a bit of time to relax and only have to deal with, you know, the usual handful of stuff keeping her busy. The market is still driving her insane, but she's going to be distracting herself with many clubs coming up, and a busy Turtle is a happy Turtle. She'll also be helping to finance a very big project in the future! One that involved Jeff, so she's not exactly sure it'll be a wise investment, but she's willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

And, speaking of projects and Jeff, now that StuCo elections are over...she can get back to trying to...well, you know...

Oh! And via YA, she'll be attempting to resurrect her relationship with Deadpool, which I'm extremely excited to see.

Lee: Lee's so freaking emo right now and it's all my fault. He got hit with Adah leaving, Kerrigan calling him a disappointment and then leaving, his brother dying, and the Cylon all in one fell swoop and he's having a tough time recovering from it. He's got Toby (though he doesn't know about the whole 'Toby calling his name out during sex with Kevin' thing) and he's meeting new people but god, he's emo. He needs to recover a bit before I do any more plots with him. I threw him into a lot of things to keep him busy and keep his mind off his life so he's doing StuCo (where he'll overthrow Harvey one day) and newspaper. I need to socialize him more but he's really resisting talking to just about anyone. Emo little bitch.

[identity profile] iruinenglish.livejournal.com 2008-10-05 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Buffy: I wanted to app her years ago, but someone else beat me to it. And I almost didn't app her this time around as RL has been sucking and I wasn't sure I could, but I got inspiration at almost literally the last minute and am very glad I did. It's extremely easy for me to find her voice and I need to stop being afraid of CR's or whatever because she'd do great in them. (MAYBE THAT IS WHAT I'LL DO TODAY. Or tomorrow as I feel icky.) She's already pretty used to the weirdness in Fandom because um, it's kind of not much different than Sunnydale, but I don't think being the third her will ever stop being wrong to her, especially since her default state is to not go around telling everyone about the slaying. And I think she misses not having monsters to beat up. Not that it will stop her from patrolling and hanging out in graveyards, as is only right.

[identity profile] bad-nose-job.livejournal.com 2008-10-05 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Penelope: I love her. I really do. She's quiet and sweet and so very scared to just be herself. But ugh, the scarf. It's driving me crazy! How can she breathe all the time? Sooner rather than later, it will come off and I am looking forward to this (not to mention all the other icons that have expressions!). I kind of wish Claire would have just ripped it off her face but I'm mean like that.

She will be going home off and on for bits and pieces of canon catch-up, mainly with Edward. And really, other than that she is just trying to enjoy the freedom granted her and the people she has befriended.

John: He's the most content of all my characters. He's got Aeryn and he's got a new baby and he's so damn happy about all that even if Aeryn worries too much. I'm looking into getting him a part time job somewhere so he can help with the bills. I might also look into doing more stuff with the neural clone in his head but I know I have to be careful with the baby. I don't want him thinking daddy is insane...er than he really is. I need to get him more active on the alumni circuit, that's for sure but he's just so at peace with things right now. Damn happy characters.

[identity profile] berserkerminsc.livejournal.com 2008-10-05 08:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Minsc and Boo: MINSC AND BOO ARE VERY MUCHLY ENJOYING THEIR TIME AT FANDOM! They think that all the kidlings and people are very amusing and there is such a heartwarming good-doing spirit here. He seriously loves interacting with everyone here so much. He does miss Buttkicking, though, and will be very upset with me if he has to miss the next big chance to get back to it it!

He has also surprisingly not ruined nearly as much furniture as I have expected him to.

[identity profile] slapbetcommish.livejournal.com 2008-10-05 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Lily: Not much to report here. I said for like a year and a half that I'd never app another teacher but it's felt really easy this semester and I'm really not used to that. I'm not sure about after this semester, though, because I want to keep her teaching but am not sure whether running the same class would be a good idea and I don't know what else she'd do. But I'm thinking on it, and for now I'm having fun with her and in my head she's got Marshall squishing spiders all over their place while I have modding rights, la.

This is random, but maybe she could teach something like early childhood education/child development? I took that in high school and we got to run a daycare for our final, which was weirdly fun.

[identity profile] not-a-mused.livejournal.com 2008-10-05 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Cal Stephanides: Cal is...content right now. Cal finds this very unnatural, and, to be honest, it's a little difficult to write him as content! His whole canon is about these torturous events that happen to him and his family, after all. It's a great relief for me to cut back on his emo a little, though, and bring out the quirkier, oh-so-immature side of Cal. I'm also thrilled to have him in paper, especially for an outlet for his sardonic rants, and for him to further re-instate his manhood with the frat.

Naturally, I love bouncing him off Ino and Amber, but I've also been really digging how he meshes with Temari and Claire (in the rare cases that they do associate on that last one heee). AND HE MISSES WORF OMG.

[identity profile] not-ironmaiden.livejournal.com 2008-10-05 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Tony: When I brought him in, I was expecting to have him come up to date on the movie canon, but I was way too happy with how it ended up happening. Because Sam is like, the best not!Pepper there could ever be. Even if he doesn't wear the heels. And Bumblebee! *loves on Transformers*

What's next? Uh... well I need to toss him at The Hulk. Maybe get him to announce his secret identity to the world. Continue to not have any UST with Tyler... The usual.

[identity profile] elephantgadget.livejournal.com 2008-10-05 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I so have this desire for him to run into Helen and discover that her arm could turn into basically any tool he might wish to have on hand without him actually, you know, needing to have it on hand.

Tony: I like playing him. He's pretty easygoing so I can throw him into social situations without much trouble. He's made some friends. He's not really close to anyone yet, but he's still new. I'm always up for meeting new people, though, so feel free to approach him.

I like him with Andrew because they're alike enough to get along well but different enough (and have enough secrets) to keep things interesting.

I would really like to find a plot for Tony. The next part of his canon is very location-specific. I have plans for that (probably over spring break) but I'd love to get him involved with something now. So if anyone needs a fledgling wizard for a plot, he's over here!
can_be_more: (you underestimate my stress!aeryn)

[personal profile] can_be_more 2008-10-05 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Aeryn: What I kind of love about Aeryn right now is that she feels more realistic to me, because she's sort of not really happy with much. She has to work too much and doesn't really have the skills to do much else and never feels like she fits in and knows she'd probably be happier in her own universe, but I sort of like that. Because I'm mean to her. She is alllll about the baby, though, even if I sort of wish we'd put it off till there was more time to do stuff with him. Poor kid is getting gypped as it stands. Aeryn will be getting another new job soon though, which will hopefully help her all the way around.

Peter Parker: He seems to be doing fine right now. He's taken a backseat since I want to focus more on my characters on the island, but I have him in a pretty decent routine, I think. Also, the whole 'school, work, Spidey, girl' dynamic is classic Spidey, and I'm always happy to be able to play with stuff like that.
