Senior Project & Brainstorming!

Way back in the day, there was an awesome plot that basically blew up the Sixth Floor of the dorms and left it completely uninhabitable. This summer, the graduate project will consist of both cleaning the mess that's been left up there and renovating the floor into something great.

Ah, renovations! We started talking and decided we'd like to hear from you guys on the topic. So, this is the place to hit us with ideas and suggestions for what you as players would like to see built up there. While you're thinking on it, keep in mind businesses in town that might already cover some of your ideas.

I second the full kitchen! With like an actual dining area, maybe? It just seems to make more sense than people randomly wandering floor to floor in search of free food, although that is certainly a fine tradition of this game.

How about apartments for upperclassmen? They could have three or four single bedrooms each plus a kitchen, bath and living room, and we could tie living in one to being a junior or senior and having been at school for a certain length of time. (This housing would be a privilege characters would have to apply for, not luck of the draw.) Maybe residents in the apartments could be considered RAs for the dorms in exchange for getting the space.

And a dance floor.

Halfway off-kilter suggestion here, but . . . a padded room.

No, seriously. Like, one that locks from the outside. To serve a function somewhat like Oz's book cage, should certain students need it.

ETA: There'd probably have to be safeguards on something like this, like appointing "officers," as it were, to be in charge of the keys so people can't go mean-spiritedly locking other people into the room just because they want to or anything like that.

Not sure what to put in (dance floor!), but if it ends up being too big for one floor, the attics (if they still exist!) are empty space that could be used too. For a bigger dance floor. Hola! Not so much a question as a "don't know if you know, but..." Because of the magicky fallout of the sixth floor plot, most of the sixth floor disappeared. So there's the common room (with a closet that, at the time, randomly went to all of those weirdass rooms the 6th floor adventurers used to find when you opened the door) and rooms 601-604. Then there's a thick wall that no one really thought to break through to see if the other stuff was still in there. Anyway! That's how it was circa 2007 just after the plot!

Shh I know I remember the strangest details.
