It's tiiiiiime once again for our sort of regularly schedule state of the characters post! I think most of you know what this means but, in case you don't: basically, what this post is for is to give the game at large an update or a summary of what's going on with each of your characters.

Come on, we all love to talk about our characters so here's your chance! Talk them up, talk about their development, things that are going on, things that you're hoping for in the future, plots that are upcoming, difficulties they're having, anything and everything!

For example: Umbridge: Sometimes, it's hard for me to play her because she's so intensive and tiring. But, she's having fun hexing students and pissing off teachers. I'm enjoying her games of give and take with Anakin and Wade, particularly. I'd love to see her thread more with Roy. She'll be leaving soon but not before a big explosive ending.

It doesn't have to be exactly like that but that's basically the gist. Feel free to reply to each other if you have thread ideas or even plot ideas. So, go forth and share!

Ino is being a lying liar who lies pretty much. She's managed to convince herself on several levels that She's Okay With Stuff when she's seriously not and stuff.

As such she's been more people-avoidant than usual both due to that (and to RL kicking me, la, watch me come up with IC reasons for OOC things) but Has Plans to Talk To People More and such and such like.

And then I'm going to send her on more missions. Because I'm mean that way. There's also planning to finally shove her through a Chuunin Exam so she can get her fool self promoted before I run smack-dab into canon again as there's only about eight more months until canon decides to be mean to her too. Yay!

Helen's pretty miserable and lost. Every attempt she's made to be more sociable has blown up in her face and she's thinking she's pretty darn useless and only wanting to hide away at the moment.

I have no idea what's going to happen to the poor girl, but she needs something more in her life than just the horses.

Millie's cheerfully going about her business. She needs to run into Max and be baffled by him. She's also seriously considering making it her mission to find a way to cheer Castiel up.

Derek because he's fresh in my mind... is going to be going through the 5th season of Criminal Minds with a four week delay for 'omg need to fix something' type things. Anyone who's watching will know how big of a change this is going to be.

Fiona is seesawing and trying to work out her brand spanking new emotions while she just found out that (minor spoiler) her mom is A-OKAY with killing her and her brother if they step even the least bit out of line. She's also seesawing with Griff somewhat as she doesn't want to burden him with her troubles, but she doesn't like keeping things from him. So basically, she's a flaily 15 year old girl plus STUFF.

Liir is doing rather well, though he's a little stuck at the moment. Mostly because I want to start setting him up for this years plot point in Oz but I can't think of how to actually pull it off in a way that makes sense. Might need to see if Glinda-mun can help with a plot point or two.

Geoffrey is surprising the hell out of me with a relationship which I LITERALLY NEVER THOUGHT WOULD BE POSSIBLE for him. Really. Well and truly. WATCH ME BOGGLE. The fact that he's doing well with it and cleaning up a bit is kind of fantastic. The whole thing makes me ridiculously giddy.

Nick is doing all right. I find it kind of hilarious he's still relatively a secret. Only, like, two people on island know now. I can't wait for the bit with Max to pop up again, though.

Abigail Irene really should have been there this weekend. As it is, I need to grab Murdock-mun, finish a thread, and set them up for a visit this month or something.

Pup is kind of beating at the back door of my brain now. OTHER pup who was is now waiting for canon to be out so my entire skull can be blasted by pure awesomeness first.

Peyton's trying to make plans for next semester. I'd love to do plotty with her fake brother showing up and kidnapping her as per canon and get her Fandom friends to help rescue her before she goes off to L.A. Which will happen... sometime.

Aravis is in some severe denial about things going on back home, but otherwise is really enjoying her final year here. She's gotten a lot more serious, but on the bright side she's also generally nicer to people. And having a FWB around is kind of helping her, particularly with that denial issue back home.

Alex begs to differ about that being nicer to people part. Then again, Alex probably brings out the bitchy side of Aravis considering he's just a jackass. Still, that just means they should mutually be bitches around each other more.

Kennedy is having a blast in Fandom so far. She absolutely loves it here for reasons ranging from having other people to geek about weapons and fighting with (even if she's not on the winner's end of the spectrum more often than not) to the lack of shortage of eye candy. She's hit it off with a few people, all of whom I need to thread with more because I love having her be an eager little rookie-type at Rose, Elena, and Beka, but hell if I can get any mental focus worth speaking of lately. That's me, not her, because she's actually quite easy to play and a lot of fun... when I can get my brain in gear. It also makes me laugh a lot that she seems to get along so well with Beka and Tara, because shy, Kennedy is not. I suppose that makes sense, though. (And yeah. So totally crushing on both of them there.)

She's only a junior and she's got a way to go before she graduates, much less hits canon, but you better believe I already have a text file of tweaks and rewrites and retroactive behavioral rationalizations for season 7, all of which is tiny little detail stuff at the moment but I have this insane OCD need to KEEP TRACK OF IT ALL.

And I should note, that's a *different* text file from my general "things I would change about S7" list. Yeah, I have one of those too. Might not be as long as you'd think it would be, though.

I'd love to have Kennedy meet Codex at some point, too. Just for the meta fun.

Lana's still madly in love with Shawn, terribly pleased with how her schooling is going, and well on her way to finishing up her degrees in record time. She hates being away from Shawn again after spending the whole summer with him.

She also needs to catch up with her friends like Phoebe and Anders!

Sookie loves it here so much, it's hard to explain. She loves how normal she feels here, and is really starting to come out of her shell. She's getting better with her powers, and has gotten to where she can selectively read people rather than be overwhelmed by them. I'm going to be playing a little more with her powers in the next few months, and I'm really looking forward to that.

Socially, she's the one I know I can chuck into a common room and I'll get people to show, and she'll always have fun conversations with people. Yes, she's still crushing hard on Bobby, though she's kind of tuned into the obliviousness. Le sigh.

Hinata was doing better with the getting out and about for a few weeks and then RL ate me and is only now letting go. She will be around more omg. (And is always always out for dragging out. Plz talk her into things? She hates disappointing people!)

She’s on a pretty even keel, though, even with a PW visit from her dad that wasn’t that great, mostly because it balanced out with a visit from her sensei who she utterly adores. Mostly, she’s floating through Fandom, and making small changes to herself that half of them she’s not even aware of being done.

And she, too, needs to get promoted before canon resumes post-timeskip (...and then I need new icons, gah) because of stuff.

...yes. Stuff. It’s important stuff. As I attempt to fix as many issues as I can that Kishimoto keeps flinging into the mix because the man is INSANE.

Tyler is waaaaaaaaay too content, which means I need to find a way to torture him. He's kind of hit a groove with teaching, he has a reasonable number of friends, and he always gets a rush from Fight Club. Things with Tony have settled into this thing where they're there for each other (in their my-we-are-full-of-denial way) and know it but nobody says scary words like boyfriend or relationship or commitment.

So ... yeah. He really just needs more plot.

Jonas is doing much better here than I thought he'd be at this point in time. He's still in completely over his head but he's made a few friends (and he's even pissed someone off). It's not hard to socialize him because he is that curious but I do worry about him offending people with some of his thoughts on violence/fighting. But, on the flip side, that will probably be good for him, seeing other people's thoughts on things he's just learning.

He hasn't come out with everything about the Community yet but people like Beka and Ben and Ender know a little more than I thought Jonas would cough up yet. He hasn't gone and told all the details because they are that horrible and he'd probably end up moody for weeks.

He's doing good though. No plot to think of because he needs to LEARN things before I start plotting things with him. Eventually, he might head back to the Village, get some canon in from Messenger but that's in the future.

Tara is a lot better now that she has the whole demon thing off her head. I think if she'd thought about it logically, she should have known the whole story never made any sense -- but I also think most people, Tara included, are fantastically bad judges of whether their family mythology makes sense or not. I wanted to wait for near her birthday to have her figure out it was all just a myth because of the canon match-up. (There was no way I could have had her go through three years at Fandom totally oblivious; three months was pushing it.) So -- I played that through and I am so glad of it.

ANYHOW. She's happy. Shy and insecure, but happy. She's crushing on Diana and Kennedy, and trying to focus on using her magic in the right way. The whole thing she hears from alumni about old Tara bothers her in some ways, but she's kind of writing it off as being a totally different world.

Robin is sort of in denial about this whole wedding thing. Like, she knows it's going to happen, and she wants it to, but she's sort of like, "We can set a date later, right now I am watching hockey!" She knows there'll be cake, and that she'll get to look hot, but more than anything, she sort of just wants to get it over with. Which is a terrible way to put it, but it's more in the sense of doing it before she loses her nerve.

Otherwise, girl's happy as a clam. She actually made up with her dad over Parents' Weekend and I'll be incorporating some of her new canon (I already had her get distracted by emperor penguins on the trip, teehee.)

Other than that, she’s stabilized at her normal happy level and is feeling that life is really going good right now. She tries REALLY HARD not to think about the bad stuff that Fandom can do and missing her roommate but, that’s about it.

She needs to do something with the other God-girls & boys at some point, and I’m toying around with playing with a bit of canon for a different plot, but no real plans either way.

Raven ended up pretty emo over Homecoming because she was lonely and jealous. This, however, works as a great lead-in to unconsciously abusing her powers. She also met Phoebe, so she's all "yay fellow empath!" and "your boyfriend is a half-demon and everyone's OK with that?" She's nervous about volunteering to demonstrate her powers at the next Magical Reserve meeting, but she knew Tara would be shy and Jono would be reluctant as well, so she stepped up to take the pressure off them because she's a martyr like that.

Drake is absolutely delighted to be hearing stories about Bel at FH. He really wants to meet Logan and Angel, which should happen at Thanksgiving at the Hyperion. :D

Bel is due for some emo of his own because no one bothered to tell him about the vamp!verse, but after running into Hurley and hearing about Hurley talking to Phoebe, he's starting to figure it out. Poor boy is going to freak out about What Could Have Been. Should he find out he slept with Veronica, however, he'll go officially add it to the Hyperion Scorecard.

Come to think of it, Drake's going to want to use that as a checklist himself.

Wyatt finally met Arthur, and rapidly went from "Cool!" to "No way you could be me, you're a dick."

Tully has finally gotten himself an employee! That scene is still being played, but he'll be happy about that for a long time. Now I've just got to get him out and about more. This is true for all my characters, and admittedly part of this is due to my having an RL that's...if not kicking my ass, then definitely pestering me.

He also bought a boat which he's fixing up.

Tim is now the manager of the comic book store (which is actually still hiring now that I think about it) and is commuting to class in Princeton. Thank you portalocity.

Billy has been pulled out of school and deeper into witness protection, due to Cobra Commander having spent a month or two impersonating the White House Chief of Staff, and learning all of G.I. Joe's secrets. His canon is about to pick up big time.

Leda had been well on her way to quitting the Peca completely, with the help of her friends. But then a friend from Bordertown who's secretly plotting to destroy her (and not just in a high school type of way) got her back on it. She's afraid that she's drifting apart from Karla, and trying to sort out her feelings for Eleanor. And she's considering inviting her friends to visit Bordertown over Christmas break.

Oz is being his usual mellow self, working two jobs and living in a van down by the river!. He needs to get out more.

Robin is horrified at once more being subject to Barney's appalling precepts, but otherwise is doing well. He's still plotting his revenge on Tybalt.

Fraser is getting married. That's about all he has going on at the moment and that's pretty okay by me. He's never been a big plot guy and having gone through the Victoria stuff (though don't think I haven't thought of bringing her back), he's probably good to go with that for awhile. He'll have his hands full dealing with Robin's issues with the wedding and wedding prep itself.

This means that he's going to be dragging Wade out to help him do wedding things which, yes, I'm volunteering Wade for because I CAN. It'll be the insane leading the blind!

Chuck is out a BFF and is not looking to go back home any time soon thanks to his father and Dan Humphrey. Right now he's just focusing on having fun in his own way (bothering Sam, getting angels laid, kissing Arthur's sister, drinking vampire blood, etc...) and doing as little work as possible. And I'm fun incorporating new TV canon (woo, boykissy icon!) and book canon (no, I'm not bringing Sweetie back) into the game.

Xander is... Xander. He's pretty much in status quo and is going to remain that way until SPD canon finishes up or somebody else's plot shakes things up a bit, which might happen towards the beginning of next semester.

Illyria has discovered that kissing is...interesting. And various people have discovered that she's <ChuckBass>kind of a ho</ChuckBass>

Francine just keeps going "Ahahahahahahaha" when I ask her how she is. She's both growing up and getting braver, and getting a little more lost and windswept every time she takes another two steps forward. Or to lay off the flowery metaphors: She's accepted that she has some psychic gifts after denying it forever... and promptly started to feel frustrated that there's not really anything she can do with them that's in any way useful. She's accepted that she has feelings for her best friend and that it's mutual... and just broken up the best relationship she's ever had, to try to commit to something she's terrified of.

And no one threw any pie at her.

Jack has decided he's staying in this time after he graduates, and Sebastien will have to learn to live (unlive?) with it. I think he figures that if his vampire is a thousand years old, a hundred more or less can't make too much of a difference to him.

Socially, he's doing well. He has the starts of messy feelings for Emma and Rose, which he's decided to ignore, and he'd trust Tony with about anything. He's even friendly with Alex Karev, which surprised me.

He doesn't have plot going on, but he's not a character who longs for plot --he has his social life and school and the play, and that's enough for him.

Hannibal is doing just fine. That's par for the course though and I don't see that changing anytime soon unless I decide to futz with his canon and do the vampire thing in a different way. That's...just a glimmer though because OH THE HUMANITY. I don't know if I could do that to him while he's in high school. We'll see.

Other than that, he's doing swimmingly. He loves Angela (shut up, Chuck) and he's happy there and he's whipped and he doesn't even really mind. He survived Parent's Weekend and the fatherly visit even if he's afraid of knocking Angela up still. LOOK, IT'S A CONCERN. He's just so easy to play for me and he can go anywhere and do anything and it's fun. I do miss how easily he got into fights so maybe he'll start tormenting Arthur even more than he does and maybe he'll find some other guy who wants to get into some tussles.

Summer is enjoying teaching and Fandom in general. Eventually, I'll have her go through a bit of her canon where her dad and Loren Smith (a Congresswoman) get married. And then her dad's promoted to head of NUMA.

Other than that, no big plans for her. Definitely need to get her out more.

Alex is working at the Magic Box and just enjoying learning what she can about spells, charms, etc. And the Magic Reserves is helping with that, too!

... and the switching brains with Harper thing is something that needs to happen, whenever there's time. :D And the finding out that Alex is a wizard, too. Other than that, not much in the way of plotty things.

Arya will be making a trip home soon -- it was supposed to be during the break but RL kind of took over... Aside from that, she's content with co-owning/running Coyote Medicine and participating in Fight Club. And hanging out at Caritas when I remember to send her there.

She needs to be more social, dang it.

Tori is in Blue Bay Harbor, still teaching at the Wind Ninja Academy and taking classes at the local college. That's not going to change anytime soon.

I might speed up the creating a custom surf board business storyline and have it actually come to life soon. Kind of having a hard time thinking of things to do with her...

Adam is back in Angel Grove, taking classes at the local college and plotting opening a dojo with Rocky. Kind of tweaking the future!canon a bit there.

Priestly is pretty much just grooving along with his Priestly self. he's managed to (somewhat) make peace with his mother regarding his life- and physical-appearance-choices, he misses Claudia like mad, but is totally dealing, and has a new boyfriend of his best friend to playfully threaten. Things are going pretty good in Priestly land.

I'm totally working on him befriending more girls. His purpose in life as comic relief to Girls With Issues^TM must be fulfilled!
