OOC: New Year's Eve
Had enough of partying? Not even possible! This New Year's Eve, all of Fandom (alumni, expats, townies, teachers, & students) is invited to ring in the New Year in style - at the Muse Hotel in New York City!
Join us in the
fh_trips community for three days of New York City, Fandom-style.
Itinerary
Dec. 30 - Check into the hotel and explore on your own
Dec. 31 - Daytime explorations continue
Dec. 31 - New Year's Eve Blowout Party
Jan. 01 - Brunch at the hotel followed by check out
Note: Rather than RNGing roommates, please feel free to find you own IC partner, find a completely random partner for lulls, or handwave a single room at your discretion.
As with other trips, we request that any NWS threads take place in personal journals. Characters are also free to use personal journals for explorations as preferred, though there will be space for explorations in the
fh_trips posts.
For the sake of our NPC Muse Staffers, we would appreciate those interested ping in below so we can provide a basic head-count. There is no deadline to decide, as there are no assigned rooms, simply show and enjoy your stay!

More!
The USS Intrepid - Info Here (http://www.intrepidmuseum.org/) not far from the above.
The Museum of Sex - No, I'm not kidding (http://www.museumofsex.com/).
Leonidas Chocolate - For when Godiva Isn't Good Enough (http://www.leonidas-chocolate.com/).
Considering all the law enforcement, they might check out The NYC Police Museum (http://www.nycpolicemuseum.org/).
There's always something going on at the Javits Center (http://www.javitscenter.com/) even if it's far away from like EVERYTHING EVER and all the trains.
Liberty Island, of course (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberty_Island) with the statue and all.
The Cloisters (http://www.metmuseum.org/Works_Of_Art/the_cloisters), which is a restored monastic site and the medieval European branch of
The Met (http://www.metmuseum.org/). NYers consider a forgotten Met pin on the neckline of someone's jacket/shirt to be a "tourist badge".
Museum of Natural History (http://www.amnh.org/) of course.
MoMA (http://www.moma.org/)'s another one of those 'we all know about it'.
Not to mention the Bronx Zoo (http://www.bronxzoo.com/) which requires a bit of a Subway trip, but it's totally worth it.
