State of the Characters!

It's a new month (finally considering I spent all YESTERDAY thinking it was February) so it's a good time to do our sort of monthly state of the characters updates. We all love to talk about our characters so here's your chance! Talk them up, talk about their development, things that are going on, reactions to the latest strangeness, things that you're hoping for in the future, holiday plans, next semester plans, plots that are upcoming, difficulties they're having, anything and everything!

Character's current mood: PISSED OFF
Character's current goings on: Sometimes, it's hard for me to play her because she's so intensive and tiring. But, she's having fun hexing students and pissing off teachers. I'm enjoying her games of give and take with Anakin and Wade, particularly. I'd love to see her thread more with Roy. She'll be leaving soon but not before a big explosive ending.

Character name: Jack Priest

Character's current mood: Confused and in denial.

Character's current goings on: So he got a head injury and decided to tell Emma Frost he loved her but "not the way [he] love[s] Sebastien." This went over as brilliantly as one might expect, and wackiness failed to ensure. I think we have Jack and Emma to a place where they'll both at least acknowledge they should talk, though I am far from certain what they'll end up saying.

He's 'made up' with Karla after their fight in a surface-level way, though I think they'll both be walking on eggshells around the other for a while. But not actively trading insults is a step in the right direction.

In terms of post-high school plans, he's still thinking about this time, but he's less certain he'd like actual detective work in the 21st century. Which means he'll be trying on other professions for size.

Needs threads with: ROSE, once she's not FIERCE HUNTRESS BOBCAT anymore. Emma. Alex Cabot for great judicial justice. Anyone else in the cast of the play.

Character's current mood: Pretty relaxed
Character's current goings on: She's still curious about the wolf she met during the gremlin invasion, mostly because she feels like she owes him a steak for helping her. She needs to tell a few more people about her abilities, but years of not talking about it makes it kind of hard. I'm slowly starting to plan out her first canon catch-up, so that should be fun.

Character's current mood: Surprisingly good, considering.

Character's current goings on: She's totally enjoying being without supervision for the first time in her life, not to mention going to a co-ed school, though she's also still reeling a bit from meeting her daughter from the future who is older than she is, her nephew also from the future and who is the son of a twin brother she didn't know she had, and of course, her father the supposedly-DEAD Jedi Knight. She desperately wants to know who her mother and brother are.

Needs threads with: She totes needs to meet Rory and Juliet, who she'll likely be bringing up to Anakin in Ethics tomorrow because she heard about them on the radio (but was too cranky to bring it up during the Winter Carnival).

Character's current mood: Cheerful
Character's current goings on: Not much. She runs the bookstore, works at the clinic, and that's about it.
Needs threads with: I'd love to see her bug Castiel some more and talk with Captain Price, and I'd like to see Andy come in and try and mind-control her. But basically she'd be happy to interact with most anyone.

Character's current mood: Confused but hopeful
Character's current goings on: Hinata's going to help her find a pet, a couple of people have offered to be friends, and she's trying very hard to be less abrasive. I'd love to see her get involved with a guy, even if it's just a friends with benefits thing - which honestly she'd handle much better than a relationship. I'm hoping to get to play more of her being utterly at sea as she hopefully develops some friendships/relationships and has to figure out how to deal with that.
Needs threads with: Anyone and everyone, particularly anyone who's said they'd like to be a friend.

Character's current mood: At loose ends
Character's current goings on: Let's see: she finally told Liir her secret and he seems to be handing it surprisingly well, which she is grateful for. She'll be telling Raven soon. No idea how that will go.

She's also trying to figure out what she's going to do after graduation. Which, um, I am also trying to figure out. The problem with a canon that ends with high school means that I have nothing to guide me.

Character's current mood: Good. It's Drake. It's all good.

Character's current goings on: He needs to start working on his will. His expiration date is rapidly approaching.

Character's current mood: Very happy and content, though missing Shawn
Character's current goings on: She's head over heels with Shawn, working hard to make a cross country relationship work, and is also working her butt off taking extra classes and any scut work thrown her way so she can both be done with school early and get more experience in forensics.
Needs threads with: Any of her friends who might want to come visit or talk her into visiting them. And Shawn always, of course.

Character name: Kate Gregson (As an off-topic remark, someone should really give her a nickname. No one even calls her Katie here.)

Character's current mood: CONFUSED. Possibly in denial, but that's kind of a permanent state for her anyway, nowadays.

Character's current goings on: January was a weird month for Kate. She was just gearing up to take a chance on Jason when he left, and emo ensued.

After the initial period of wallowing, she's gone back to trying to pretend she's completely immune to heartbreak and the notion of romantic love. However, it's harder than it used to be. The ridiculous fights with Jason highlighted some of her issues for her, but she has no idea how to deal with them, and now her mind spazzes out at everything that's even remotely related to feelings.

And there's plottishness to come, which will probably knock her off-balance just a little bit more, although in a different way. She's so going to need a vacation sometime soon.

Needs threads with: Bod, because hello there, new source of confusion. Warren, for great ruined date justice. Joan and Emma, because seriously, Kate fails at having girlfriends here. Kurt, because she's failing at the sib thing. Sookie, possibly. Because I'm cruel. And Hannibal, because he still hasn't danced. And the desert boy and the Irishman, as always.

Character's current goings on: Claire is starting to be less guilty over Peter and Nathan's "deaths". Once she finds out that they aren't really dead, she'll be going through some of her own canon.

Character's current mood: A little blue, wow, what a shock!
Character's current goings on: She's trying to find her brother and I would love to take her through that part of canon where the crazy stalker pretends to be her brother and when they finally try and get him picked up by the cops they end up arresting her real brother. Any of her friends interested in some plotty?

Other than that she's dillydallying over getting an internship and is focusing on booking and running gigs at Tric in Tree Hill.

Character's current mood: Cautiously optimistic
Character's current goings on: She's still kind of annoyed with the Elders for sending her here and not telling her who her charge is, but she's liking the island and all it's quirks.

I have a vague notion of doing the Charmageddon plot somehow in the near future but I haven't worked out those details.
Needs threads with: Wyatt & Phoebe, to meet the rest of her AU family; Drake, to figure out they are from the same time; Max, to possibly enlist his help in figuring out who her charge is; pretty much any adult, really. She needs friends!

Character's current mood: Surprisingly content and at peace.

Character's current goings on: She's trying hard to get better at magic. The gremlin invasion made her feel like she needed to power up enough to be useful, and fast. Things with Kennedy are going well, which stuns her every time she thinks about it.

Needs threads with: Kennedy, of course. Merlin and Francine before they leave. I'd like to see her threading more with people in the Magic Reserves so she can get her geek on. Sookie. Bobby.

Character's current mood: Buried in paperwork, but not bad, all things considered.

Character's current goings on: Well, he vanished in front of Cindy and told her his secret, and she didn't freak, so that's making him cautiously optimistic. He really does love his job most days; it's nice not to be the freakiest thing around for once. He's low-level worried about George being lost in SC, and, on a higher level, feeling like Clare is pulling away and not really understanding why.

Needs threads with: Pretty much any adult and any of the library staff. Or random students who like books and/or punk rock. I'm not picky for him at this point.

Character's current goings on: She's in her last semester of college (!!!) and needs to figure out if she's going to join the CIA or the FBI. She's adjusting well to married life, which shocks her as much as anyone else.

Character's current mood: perfectly fine
Character's current goings on: Chris is just riding along, going to college, working, spending time with his girl. He's my easy, super low maintenance character at the moment which means I haven't taken the time to be mean to him. Though I should really change that soon. Halliwells need angst, TRUFAX.
Needs threads with: IDEK aside from the obvious family/gf/SIL. He's gonna miss having Johnny around, that's for sure.

Character's current mood: Surprisingly good, but give it a week

Character's current goings on: I said in the last meme that my Jaina learns and she's not going down the "Here, we'll give you character development and then revert you right back to it in ten years" path, which means she is in a very scary place for me as a writer, because I'm trying to make her learn without making her OOC. So her last semester is supposed to be spent taking a break and figuring out what exactly it is she wants to do, which is somehow going astonishingly easy. Nothing about where she is was planned at ALL, so with John being back in the picture and being on the other end of a lot of situations she's been in over the last two and a half years and having to actually work through her issues to be able to deal with them is really cool for me to see how it comes together.

So she's doing good, enjoying work, trying not to go stir crazy at having more of it, and she's off for her first not-quite catchup this week. She's totally expecting to hear from her not-quite boyfriend any day now, so that's putting her in a good mood, and because this is me and more importantly because this is Jaina, enjoy the good mood while it lasts because it's got a shelf life.

Needs threads with: Anyone. Everyone. She's also at a place where she feels she can tell Leia stuff, so she should probably talk to her sometime.

Character's current mood: Confused but intrigued
Character's current goings on: He's finally getting out more (go me!) so he's making friends easier than I thought he would. It's taken some time to get him acclimated to the place but he's doing well now.

So well that he's actually gotten kissed. A few times. Hi, Beka! Not that he's out and out told anyone that but he's happy about it and after seeing her fight the gremlins, is pretty enamored.

I'm going to take him through learning about some darker subjects soon (the boggart in DADA class is a good catalyst for that) so we'll see how he does with emo.

Character's current goings on: Well, she bought a restaurant on a whim, and how she has to figure out what she's going to do with it. Although she's happy to have an excuse to stay away from Spira for a bit -- they can deal with their own problems for a change. (Although she'll still remind Rikku that she's just a phone call away.)

She's already got some plans for Cafe Fina, she just has to figure out how to put them into practice.

Character's current goings on: Well, he's a baby penguin. Other than that, though, he's actually reached a state of equilibrium after all the stuff he went through in December. Of course, I've also sped up his home-timeline a bit so that I can put him through canon goings-on in a few weeks, because I'm a horrible person and enjoy messing with him.

Character's current mood: Excited (though you probably wouldn't be able to tell)
Character's current goings on: He's still fairly new so he's still settling. Still, that doesn't mean things haven't started to get going for him. I'm stoked to see how well he and Jacob get along as roommates. And if he ever finds out about the werewolf thing, it won't even bother him because of Miss Lupescu. Of course, if he ever shares the truth about Silas, Jacob might not feel the same way.

He's also taken to confusing and infuriating Kate which is hella fun for me. It helps that he actually does like her and isn't doing it for his own amusement. He's a little drawn to her right now because she's teased secrets and he's a curious sort.

Nothing solid planned except trips to the graveyard and more time spent meeting ANYONE. Seriously, he wants to meet you all.

Character's current mood: Calm and cheerful, as is her default. She's worried about Jacob and his temper, though, like a proper big sister.

Character's current goings on: Nothing much of note, I'm afraid. She did find out Jacob is a werewolf.

Needs threads with: Jono, Jacob, Jaime ... and probably other random boys with J names :-). Drake. Castiel. I'd also like for her to talk to girls -- I need to put her in CRs more often so she can make more female friends.
