My Character - More than Meets the Eye!

So I'm totally stealing this from Fry who posted it first in November.  But it seemed like a fun post-BDE meme to play with on this rainy Monday afternoon.  Also I totally almost put this up at like 5am, but I was afraid my narrative might make no sense, we all know we can't have that.  SO.

There are certain characteristics about the people we play that *we* know, but we get tired of repeating in every introductory ping. There's also stuff that players wouldn't really be able to figure out just looking at an icon--how tall someone is, if they have an accent, what kind of clothes they are wearing...and in some cases, if their eyes/hair/whatever are different than the PB we've picked.

Basically this is an excuse to babble about your people some more. Give us their stats!

Rose Hathaway

- Short. About 5'2". Less annoyed by it than she used to be, but it's still a sore point. (Yes, this makes things complicated with Dimitri.)
- Moves gracefully - like a trained fighter - and is very well-muscled if curvy (C-cup breasts, thank you canon for that random detail but neglecting to tell me how tall she is until the 4th book. Stupid tiny jossing.)
- Just a general American accent, nothing location specific
- Has dark eyes and nearly waist-length, thick, so-brown-it's-almost-black hair.
- Her hair is usually loose down her back unless she's training/just has come from training.
- Rose has two small black molnija (lightning crosses) tattoos on the back of her neck. Feel free to notice if her hair is up/out of the way. She may or may not explain. :D
- Pretty much is always wearing utilitarian clothes now. Jeans, thermals, hoodies OR training clothes unless otherwise mentioned in narrative. That being said, she freaking adores sexy, trendy clothes. She's NOT wearing faux-Tudor-style clothes. That's just the icons.
- Can't raise a single eyebrow. A bit annoyed by this, yes.
- Has a ready temper and while it's been corralled a little bit lately, it's starting to fray again.
- Can see dead people. Cause, sure, that should be in here. This is because she died once, but it didn't stick. It shows up in her aura as heavy blackness if you can See such things.
- Hates "rose" things.
- Just turned 18 and is no longer jailbait!
- Trains formally twice a day with Dimitri, once at 7am and once in the afternoon.

-- 5'9". He's a shorty, yep. His sister is the same height as him.
-- Has a very, very, very deep voice. He's not a Batman impersonator, it's just Ed Westwick covering up his English accent.
-- That said, he tends to sound like he's being sarcastic all the time. And he gestures a lot when talking.
-- He also moves very gracefully, like someone who has had a lot of dance and etiquette lessons. Because he has.
-- HE NEVER DRESSES LIKE A NORMAL HUMAN BEING. Seriously. I always forget to describe what he's wearing but he is not dressed like the average teenager. He's almost always wearing a tie nowadays. I have seen him wear jeans twice on the show. Twice. I'm pretty sure he'll only do casual by special request.
-- Also has weed and a flask on him at all times.
-- You'd be hard pressed to get him to take his shirt off in public (They don't do it on the show because Ed is a: English and pasty b: Covered in tattoos) but when you do manage it in private, you'll see he's got a scar on the back of his shoulder from someone axing him last year.
-- Doesn't really wear his trademark scarf much anymore but he does sport a gold monogrammed pinky ring at all times.
-- Turns 18 on May 16th and will officially inherit a multi-billion dollar company. This is stressing him out a lot and it's beginning to show (meaning he looks a lot more tired than he used to).

Dimitri Belikov

--Tall. 6'7" with excellent posture.
--Hair that actually looks like the icons, often tied in a short ponytail to keep it out of his eyes while training. Basically, at the gym it's pulled back, anytime else it's down.
--Dark brown eyes (despite the icons, la).
--Well-muscled but lean body with surprisingly tan skin.
--Low voice with light Russian accent.
--Does not smile often or for just anyone (despite his PB's fantastic grin).
--Is able to perform a single eyebrow lift to great effect.
--One twisted snake-like tattoo on the back of his neck above seven molnija marks (wee jagged lightning bolts crossing in an X).
--Carries a silver stake strapped to his side in a holster that's usually hidden by his coat.
--When he's with Adrian, Dimitri is likely dressed in Guardian black (all black suit with black shirt). The rest of the time his clothes are very normal and often influenced by all the training he does.
--Wears a long, dark, leather duster in appropriate weather because he has a cowboy kink.
--Is not wearing the hat or the tutu or the stupid arm tattoo no matter what the icons say.
--Also, he is not actually ever kissing an elephant despite the way Rose's narrative responds.
--Is at the gym twice daily for training besides any actual work he does.
--Has a generally calm if imposing stance and moves quickly with grace.
--Can be summed up as a control freak trying to be as Zen as possible about things he cannot control. Watch the temper though, it's vicious.

Jacob Black

- 6'9" by now and build like a house
- Looks closer to 25 years old than to 16
- Dark eyes, short dark black hair and a russet skintone
- Is obviously Native American
- He has no tattoo, despite what the icons show
- Rarely puts on a coat, usually wears jeans and a t-shirt. Nothing fancy.
- His skin is a constant 108.9°F
- Moves very quietly despite his size
- When he loses control, he starts visibly shaking

Wolf!Jacob:

- Still frigging tall, in my hand waviness, he keeps his size (is possibly a wee bit taller, but whatever)
- Russet fur (Yes, his spirit wolf that reflects who he is inside is determined by his human skin colour. F**** you, Smeyers.)
- Ears, muzzle and a swishy tail
- I just wanted to have more points to qualify it having its own header

Dan Humphrey

-- Pretty short at 5'10". Seriously. Supernatural took all height the CW has.
-- Wears a lot of cheap flannel and kind of dresses like an old timey newsboy.
-- Talks very, very fast and has a habit of rambling.
-- Also mumbles sarcastic remarks under his breath like you can't hear it or something.
-- He keeps a Cabbage Patch doll named Cedric in his room. Thinks it's cleverly hidden but it's not.
-- Has the habit of visibly facepalming. Like, he can't do it in his head like most people can.
-- This is all part of him being terrible at hiding his judgmental ways. If he disapproves of you, you'll know it. If he doesn't say it outright, you'll be able to tell with his body language and by the eye rolling.
-- Doesn't move gracefully at all. Has the habit of running into things.

Henry DeTamble

* He gives his exact height and weight in canon but I can't remember it off the top of my head -- I want to say 6'1" and 175 or thereabouts. Has a wiry runner's build and is tallish but not OMG U R TALL, anyhow.

* No jewelry. No wedding ring, no watch, no glasses or (for that matter) fillings in his teeth. Time travel thing. There's nothing remarkable about how he dresses otherwise.

* Cropped, straight dark hair with some gray in it and brown eyes. He says he looks like Egon Schiele (http://www.leopoldmuseum.org/bilder/Portrait_egon-Schiele_1915.jpg), but other evidence suggests he's being hard on himself just then. This is a little ... whatever, of Niffenegger, but he looks like his mother, who is described as being Jewish but looking Italian. (Got that?) So, vaguely swarthy/ethnic.

* Light Chicago accent, but probably not enough that most people would recognize it offhand.

* He's 39, but he looks a little older than his age. Time travel thing, again.

* Runs every goddamned day of his life and is a better fighter than you'd expect of a librarian.

Jaina Solo

-Barely 5'1" and overall tiny. (Screw what Wookieepedia says, that can't be right. She's supposed to be just smaller than Leia. I go with that.)
-Dark brown hair, about midway down her back now. I keep meaning to have her cut it.
-Her preferred clothes are simple, just a shirt and pants or flightsuits.
-Currently because of so much time spent on Earth outside Fandom, and the fact that she's ruined so many clothes in invasions, her clothes are mostly like what you'd find in Target (think jeans and t-shirts). This drives her insaaaaane.
-Tends to fit in with her surroundings, which makes the clothes she wears a little more acceptable to her.
-No accent. Despite growing up on the same planet as Ben.
-Unless she's in the dorms or at school, she's always got her lightsaber on her, unless otherwise stated.
-Has little faded scars over her back from voxyn venom, but they're only really noticeable if you're for some reason staring at her bare back.
-Also has a slightly more noticeable puncture wound on her forearm thanks to that final canon catchup.
-Doesn't actually have the dimples Sophia does.
-Brown eyes. One might call them brandy brown. Ad nauseum.
-Actually has her toes painted a decent amount of the time nowadays. This is all Rose's fault.
-Trains daily, usually in the mornings before classes.
-Has her phone and comlink on her at all times unless stated.
-Is 21, her fake ID actually has the right age on it now, and has no idea when she's turning 22 but she knows it's this summer sometime.
-Has a black and silver ring she wears on her right hand.

Lois Lane

--5'8" and wears heeled shoes so she probably looks taller most of the time.
--She's a muscley sort of gal. Not, like, in the scary way but she has abs.
--Huge boobs. Huge. Erica's boobs? Fake. Lois' boobs? Not fake. SO SAYS ME.
--Tends to very much be the jeans and tank top girl, but she almost always accessorizes with a coat. Tends to wear a lot of reds/blues/yellows (Smallville is so subtle).
--Has your standard Canadian American accent.
--Turning 19 in June. Being an army brat screwed her schooling a bit so she's a little older than most seniors.

It's not always obvious, unless I just use my default icon, but Leda has very prominent pointed ears. She also has a few piercings in those ears.

Leda's hair is currently shoulder length, and all the hair (including her eyebrow) on the left side, is dyed purple. The right side is it's natural color, silvery white.

Her eyes are also silver in color.

Her accent is not quite the same as Keira Knightley's. It's sort of a mix between Cockney and Bronx.

Elves are naturally slender, but she's way more skinny than the average, and she's about 5'7'', which is short for an elf.

I keep thinking there's more, but that's all I can think of just now.

--Red hair that is almost always in need of a haircut.
--Blue eyes (same shade as Luke's and Anakin's, yay for family resemblance).
--5'10". I DON'T CARE WHAT CANON SAYS. HE WILL NOT BE RANDOMLY SHRINKING LIKE JAG DOES.
--Random-ass British Coruscanti accent. Despite growing up on the same planet Jaina did.
--15 years old and even with the obsessive ice cream eating has a ridiculous metabolism so he's on the more-muscled-than-he-looks side.
--Works out daily (running, lightsaber drills). Also gets his ass kicked every Thursday morning by his grandfather in lightsaber training.
--Unless noted, is either in Jedi robes or a simple black flightsuit.
--He has his lightsaber with him if he's off campus. The sniper rifle is in the weapons locker and he'd really rather never use it.
--There's a reason he doesn't take his shirt off readily--he has a lightsaber scar that goes from his shoulderblade to his waist (thank you, evil!Tahiri), and numerous smaller scars from being tortured via Embrace of Pain and interrogator droid. He'll also now have a lovely set of claw marks across his chest and shoulder thanks to the last BDE.
--He will not have the tattoos his PB does, though. Sorry.

Rebakah Cooper:

- Light, light grey-blue eyes (ghost eyes) that freak most people out. Especially when she's pissed.
- 5'8
- Long dark blonde hair. Usually loose now that she's not constantly working.
- Muscular. She's worked for them.
- Calloused fingers
- Has knives hidden under her clothes and in her boots
- Wears a magical charm under her shirt
- Tends to not meet anyone's eyes unless it's mentioned in the narrative.
- Works out several times a day
- Speaks with an accent similar to George's, but she doesn't speak full out cant. There's just the occasional expression and word that gets in there. Only when she's upset or it suits her Dog business, does she fall into the cant.

Pounce:

- Is a black cat
- Has purple eyes

- Loooooooong jet black hair, usually straight, goes down past her waist.
- Pale blue eyes, unless I retcon canonize them to purple (oh, DC).
- Has a red gem stuck to her forehead (the wonderful artists of DC constantly move it around, resize it, and change it from smooth to faceted, wtf). It's not glued on, it's part of her, but it can be forcibly removed. Or bitten off, as the case may be. Thank you, canon.
- Is always wearing a gold ring on the forefinger of each hand.
- Also is usually wearing a pair of gold earrings that glow faintly
- Tends to dress in lots of black, but has had other (dark!) colors forcibly added to her wardrobe.
- She's going to be 5'11" when she finishes growing up, so she's probably about 5'8" or so now.
- Slender, but with a typical comic book improbable rack. Actually, she's probably gained a little weight due to her boyfriend's love of junk food. Must start working out. ;)
- Tends to speak formally (i.e., no contractions), very softly, and with a trace of an accent you just can't place.
- Has a tramp stamp tattoo of a raven with wings spread on the small of her back.

Raven's Soul-Self
- Looks like a giant bird, only more two-dimensional than not.
- Is black, black like my soul, and shadowy.
- It's solid when it wants to be, intangible when it doesn't. Oh, writers.
- The outline of her Soul-Self has a golden glow.
- Except when she's evil. Then it glows red.

Raven's Demon Form
- Her skin turns red.
- She gets another pair of eyes above the ones she always has, and all four glow red.
- She loses clothing. Seriously.
- She grows fangs and her fingers get all claw-y.
- Her ears get pointy. She's a demonic elf.

George Cooper

- Currently is about 5'10". Not even close to where he's topping out.
- Speaks with a definite accent. It's vaguely English with a touch of an Irish lilt and oh-so-lower class.
- He can speak completely properly. If he is, it'll be obvious through narrative and dialogue. The accent is really for fun.
- He can See when people are telling lies or not the whole truth. Also some magics.
- He almost always carries several knives on him as well as a set of lockpicks and gloves.
- Thanks to Layla, he's generally wearing jeans and a t-shirt of some kind. Sometimes he'll still wear Tortallan clothes of breeches and a tunic but it'll be mentioned in narrative.
- He's pretty well-muscled (for a 14 year old at least) and stronger than he looks.
- Has fast, strong hands that are good at sleight-of-hand, pickpocketing, climbing.
- Looks juuuuust like Jaina Solo's twin Jacen. He finds it funny.
- Is more than happy to pick your pocket or flirt with you. (Maybe not you.)
- Part of the Court of the Rogue at home which means he's sworn his allegiance to the King of Thieves.

Shelley Darlington

- Blond hair, totally changes in length based on her mood, as Shelley is a master with extensions and hair pieces.

- Will be showing as much skin as allowed by law, her awesome taste, and the temperature outside (and even then, her outfits are questionable).
- Loves pink and anything brightly colored.
- Yes, she has a pair of bunny ears, but she usually only wears them when alone and cleaning the apartment or by request.
- Shelley is a lover, not a fighter. She doesn't deal well with confrontation, and she gets genuinely confused by mean people.
- She's a very loyal friend.
- She's also pretty easy.
- Shelley has a fairly consistent workout routine involving yoga and trampolines.

Damon Salvatore

Can I just say how much I hate the magical ring deal in shows/movies/books? So lame. And they're always ugly as fuck.

--I imagine he's got several scars from fighting with his brothers over the years but I'm too lazy to make up specific ones.

Tahiri Veila

- About 5'0 1/2" now! Yay! (Without shoes.) She miiiiiiiight still be growing, though. She might even get taller than Jaina. ;) Look, new canon describes her as tall and Jaina as tiny still. Mwahaha.
- Very slender and lightly built, almost fragile-looking although she's beginning to get a little less so, but a lot stronger than she appears.
- She's beginning to pick up a slightly different body language when she moves: certainly more self-assured than she has been, and a little more graceful.
- Despite the icons and EdR's actual eye color, she has green eyes.
- Is left-handed.
- Light blonde hair, currently a little past shoulder-length; I never really bothered establishing this, but in my head she used to have bangs to hide the scars on her forehead. She grew those out, though.
- Which means that yeah, the three scars on her forehead are fairly visible.
- She also has various other small scars everywhere, thanks in part to torture-by-voxyn on the Myrkr mission (like Jaina), what looks almost like a circular set of teeth mark scars at the base of her skull from where the provoker spineray was attached while she was being tortured/shaped by Mezhan Kwaad and Nen Yim, and the latest one, a still-healing scar on the back of her left shoulder from being stabbed with a poisoned amphistaff. From infiltrating Coruscant. No, not that time. No, not that time, either. The other one.
- Always barefoot unless otherwise specified.
- Also unless otherwise specified, is either in a basic flightsuit (typically olive drab, thank you, The Final Prophecy cover art) or her Jedi robes, but more likely the former. In either case, the cuffs of her pants will be a little tattered and dirty from dragging on the ground. Silly barefoot girl.
- Has what comes closest to a generic Midwestern American accent with occasional lapses into Australian, and the tendency to go a little growly sometimes. That's thanks to speaking both Tusken and Yuuzhan Vong.
- She is not as talkative as she used to be, but when she speaks, she does so at a very rapidfire pace, like she's trying to cram as many words into a single breath as possible and then some.

Dru Anderson

-wears no make-up
-there's usually a switchblade tucked up under the fingerless gloves

- 5'1" - she's weeeeeeee. Fortunately, half the time when she has to talk to someone tall, there's a convenient platform for her to stand on. It's a gift.
- Long dark brown hair. These braids don't grow themselves.
- Tends to wear her hair down or braided. She hates the really intricate hairstyles. And the buns.
- Big brown eyes. She's one step away from an anime character sometimes.
- Wears a lot of white but isn't afraid of color.
- Has faint scars on her knees and elbows from falling down at various points while doing something totally tomboyish.
- Alderaanian accent.

- Brown hair, blue eyes.
- 6'2" and in great shape.
- Overly fond of dressing in jeans and wifebeaters and black leather jackets.
- Usually scowling unless he's talking to Phoebe or Anders.
- Answers to both Bel and Cole interchangeably now.
- Inexplicably has a noticeable Aussie accent when he's angry or otherwise emotional.
- Unlike other Charmed demons, he bleeds red (because he's a half-breed).
- His hairline is totally NOT receding, OMG. Poor Julian.

Emma Grace Frost

-- Telepath lacking anything resembling ethics, WILL listen on on your narrative (if you are readable to her powers), unless she actually respects you enough not to eavesdrop. And even that's not a guarantee.

-- Blonde, ice-blue eyes, 5'8" (still growing) and 120lbs. Slender and willowy, as opposed to dangerously-skinny (like when she arrived at the school). Seventeen and a junior.
-- Despite what some of her icons show, she tends to dress in nice/expensive designer clothing. While she dresses to emphasize her looks, is not nearly as skimpy as the former-teacher-Emma's wardrobe, or her older 616-self.
-- Has a very faint British accent from spending her formative years with private tutors and such. When she gets annoyed with you, it gets crisper. When she's sleepy, it'll fade into her native upper-class Bostonian.
-- When Emma's really pushing her powers hardcore, her eyes tend to turn pure-white and the faintest haze of pink light will flicker around her.

- 6'2". He didn't get his height from his mother, that's for sure.
- Avoids having facial hair because it's usually a signal he's EVIL.
- Amazing abs! Seriously.
- Usually dresses pretty casual but cleans up nice. Wears all black if he's gone dark side.
