tell me a story, game!

So with the new kids coming in and showing off their shiny new fandoms, I'm curious.

How'd you get into your canon?

Did you just pick it up one day and found yourself unable to put it down, or did someone (maybe from this game) drag you into it? How long have you been into it? Was there any one thing or character that hooked you on it? This is your chance to wax nostalgic and go on about what made your canon so cool for you. If there's a story behind it, tell us! And if there's not... tell us anyway!

Hush, some of us like JD/Elliot. It keeps them from getting dysfunction all over perfectly nice other people.

But I was so relieved a show was finally willing to drop the will-they-won't-they between the male and female leads. SIGH.

Of course, that never stopped the writers from writing either of them as douchebags in their other ships, which yes, also makes me sigh.

...

*ships Drew and Denise some ten times harder some more*

And this is the part where I get incredibly geeky and tell you the original plan was for JD and Elliot to hook exactly once a season and realize it was a horrible idea every time.

They lost the plot on that one, yes. But by that time, they'd both been such douches to other people that I was fine with them being together. (I also liked that they were kind of both equally crazy, albeit in different ways. So many TV relationships are straight guy/wacky one.)
