Hi hi!

Tuesdays are good meme days, right? And this one is a crossbreed of Reverse Questions and Questions.

Explanation, adapted from justwantsquiet and seebeyond:

Pose a question (or as many as you'd like, and they don't all have to be in one comment, so you can come back later and add more if you want) to your fellow players about the game or their characters, and they will answer them. They can be personal or silly. You don't have to answer all of them! Nothing counts in game, of course and etc.

Questions might include "Which of your characters are you the most like?", "Which BDE was your favorite?", "What music do you RP to?", etc.

Probably Veronica though my parental abandonment issues are with my dad not my mom. But I've definitely got her snark, curiosity and penchant for dating bad boys.

I'm throwing my money in on Zack. He's got that super-soldier mojo working in his favour. Reno would be a close second. Warren and Jono, if they couldn't use powers, would probably get beaten to goopy pulps. Sorry, X-boys.

The Brady Bunch. from waaaaaaay back when even I was a wee new thing. I mean... You know.

Marshakin. Nothing will ever be as terrifying as Marshakin. Ever. Again.

Do your characters have a common trait? If so, what is it?

Trauma. It's totally all about the trauma.

Is your character ever hard to write? Why or why not?

It really depends on the character. Back when Warren was new, he was ridiculously difficult for me to write. He was just too normal, wings notwithstanding, and apparently I need a little bit of maladjustment in order to make anything work. I think I've actually settled into a voice for him that works (knock on wood), so he's not nearly as difficult, now.

Jono and Reno pretty much always come naturally to me. I think it's their inherent bitchiness. It beckons to me.

Zack is... off and on. It's hard to write him when he's in a funk, because puppies are not supposed to ever be in funks, darn it. But for the most part, yay, I'mma write some puppy! And such.

How do you deal with character bleed?

Music, mostly. Putting down a thread that's hitting me way too hard and turning on something cheerful and dancing like a complete idiot for a few minutes makes it difficult to get angry or down or feel like I've just been hit in the face with a brick.

Fortunately, I'm pretty good at deflecting bleed for the most part. Some of my boys bleed stronger than others. Warren doesn't, really. And I'm used to Jono being a downer, so I can wave my hands and go, "Yay, everything is dandy!" while he's busy having a fit.

But bleed from Zack? Ooooh, man. That's rough. And something I should probably get used to.

Which character are you the most nervous writing? And why?

... Reno. Still Reno. After all these years? Reno. Not because I'm worried that I don't have his voice, or because of any fears about not knowing his canon or anything like that. (If I didn't know his canon now, that would possibly make me a very good faker.) Nah, I'm still worried that he's going to cross a line, somewhere. He's got a mind of his own, however crazy that might make me sound, and Reno seriously gets his jollies out of pushing buttons and skirting around rules wherever he can get away with it.

Not to mention some of the darker subject matter that he tends to wander into. I'm half terrified that his class this semester is sending people for a loop and nobody's telling me.

What's so fun about being mean to your specific character?

The emo.

Totally the character growth. If there's something they can take away from whatever horrible cruel thing I throw at them, then all the better. I mean, I never expected Zack to end up more or less a vegetarian because I kept making him chew on people every time he found himself as a vampiric version of himself from another reality, you know? I like looking back and going, "Here is where they started, and then MEAN THINGS happened, and here is where they are! Awww, my little pup is all grown up."

Top five favorite threads you've ever done (feel free to link, describe or give more/less)?

Five of these is HARD. Why do I have to chooooooose?!

No links just now, as I'm at work and would have to hunt for them. In no particular order:

1. I could list, like, half my very early threads with Nadia (very, very early, in the case of her breaking into faux-gremlin Christmas carols). I have no idea how she ended up as cracky as she did, but this is the girl who invented the lobster noise. But I will always, always have a special place in my heart for Nadia and Marty battling the laundry machines. "It's lint! It's LIIIIIIIIIIINT!"
2. Alt!vamp!Dinah and alt!vamp!Prince Edward eat Priestly. The thread that really, really should not have been that much fun to play.
3. Drunk and bitter Castiel at Sam's birthday party
4. Pete Hutter and Joxer getting expelled
5. Peter trying to stop Claudia from destroying the trebuchet

Do you have a favorite moment in your character's relationship (current and past allowed)?

Didi + Jono: Singing "In My Life" on the roof back when they were dipping their toes in the water of being More Than Friends. Also, stealing an animatronic parrot at Disney.

Tara + Kennedy: Kennedy's birthday party was just incredibly sweet.

Jack + Emma: Emma comforting him when he head teh emoz during spring break.

I am! I tack threads and entire posts like a mad fiend. And then I get notifs from SP trickling into my inbox weeks later and I get all happy that I didn't miss anything. :D

How far into the future do you make plans for your character arcs?

That totally depends on the character, and on the arc. With Reno, Jono, and Warren, I'm mostly winging it (har).

Zack, on the other hand, has a timeline set out for the rest of his days. I've been kind of anal about it, so far.

What makes you decide to drop a character? Is it hard, or is it generally pretty straightforward?

I usually drop characters when I feel like I can't do their story justice anymore. There are specific things I miss them for, but in general, I don't tend to look back.

The exceptions are the two I brought in knowing they were in Fandom for a limited time, Claire and Brennan. I made the right choice in terms of characterization -- and, for Claire, in terms of not having to retype three increasingly depressing seasons of SFU -- but man, sometimes I'd *love* to have kept them around.

(Tyler's not a drop, this time. Tyler is MINEMINEMINE, is taking a breather, and will no doubt come back sometime.)

Do you ever have moments of watching a movie and thinking, "Huh, it'd be pretty fun to RP that guy"? Are any of your current characters products of that?

Constantly, these days. It's quite worrisome, and extends to books and television too. I also expand it into, "Wow, that's right in So-and-So's sweet spot. I MUST GET THEM TO READ/SEE THIS RIGHT NOW."

What inspires you to app a character? Is it a love-at-first-sight, impulse sorta thing? Or more gradual? Or something in between?

A little of both, I think? Raven took some thought, Leia was spur of the moment. Jessica from True Blood was spur of the moment, but I had to take her off the table since she won't work as a student, alas!

What character(s) would you love to app if something was different?

ex: I've been toying with the idea of apping Lilly Kane but I don't want to play my own canon BFF.

I've thought about apping Superboy because he's snarky and fun, but he's Tim's canon BFF and it wouldn't be much fun to play with myself.

I've also thought of apping Damian Wayne, the current canon Robin and son of Bruce Wayne. He'd be fun because he's so lacking in social abilities, but he's trying to adjust. But again, he's way too close to my current character.

I've played with the idea of apping Spike from BtVS, but I haven't figured out a way to make him fit in Fandom. I think some characters just don't fit well here, so that may never happen.

At this point, I think Madison's. I had SUCH a hard time coming up with it and I bounced four or five ideas off of chat before I submitted her app.

Unless you mean overall and not just mine... in which case I really love Anakin's current one.
