Aloha, Fandomites!

Tomorrow, the multiverse will crack, and everything will go to hell. Just to start things on a cheery note. Anyway, this is a reminder to let you all know: as soon as the establishy post goes up early tomorrow morning, everyone signed on to a) toss their character into another dimension; b) throw their character into the void; c) throw their house/business into the void may begin to do so. Characters in category A can disappear at any point on Thursday; the first multiverse posts will be going up on Friday morning. There will be a day and a night post for each 'verse in fh_adventures, so keep your eyes open.

Note that characters/dwellings/businesses going into the void may do so at any point until just before the grand finale! We will also be putting up establishing posts every day to make it clear which non-PC-owned areas will be vanishing, as well as which new monsters have made their way onto the island. Stay tuned for a list of baddies coming into Fandom, and which days you can be expecting them!

Finally, we have tried to make this BDE as moddable as we possibly can. However, we recognize that in some situations, players might prefer to play up against an NPC. You can put in a request for one via admin email or in the OOC for the various off-island posts. To facilitate this, we'd like to ask anyone willing to step up and play a beastie or two to let us know in the comments.

Any questions or cakes or other food items you are willing to part with? Or drinks, actually. I've just eaten and it's another week and a half before I will be in the US and able to taste Mountain Dew anew.

OKAY. This is maybe a dumb question but I was chattering at someone and realized that, uh, I didn't know the answer:

What's the disappearing into other worlds like? Is it all shimmery/fade~y from sight AKA they can disappear in front of other people? Is it 'blink and they're gone'? Is it some swirly vortex of nothingness that opens up to suck them in? Or something? Is it some combination of the above?

We're basically talking 'rips in time and space' a la this; one can appear in an instant and suck you in. Including in front of bystanders, if you're that unlucky.

As I just told MP, there are really only two reasons I seem to wind up in the US every single summer for the past four years: Mountain Dew, and proper donuts. Dutch people can't do donuts.
