A lot of great things come in ten thousands! An elephant seal can weight ten thousand pounds. It costs $10,000 to file to run for Senate in South Carolina. And ten thousand millimeters is nearly a third of a football field, and that's a big distance! The Proclaimers walked five hundred miles, and then another five hundred, which combined totals one tenth of ten thousand!

But for us, ten thousand posts means that we clicked over to five digits on our odometer. In the car of life, we could get into a car in Lexington Park, drive to Arlington, Virgina, and then back again nearly 77 times! That would take us five days and eight hours of non-stop travel! Egads!

But since we spent our time playing here instead of making that trip, we've saved fuel and prevented horrible accidents due to driving for five days without rest, food, or restroom breaks. And that, chums, is keen!
