Town Classifieds and Living Arrangements Update

It's time to catch up with who has job openings and residence vacancies, where our new grown-ups have settled in or our old ones have shifted, and any changes to your business info you'd like to make.

Please take a look through the OCD threads within, and if it applies to you, let us know. If it doesn't, have strawberry-rhubarb pie.

(For people searching for jobs, just a quick run-down: Townies must have a business or work for someone else. Students may have a job, but aren't required to.)

Business owners, please ping in with the name of the business, what day(s) you have openings, and any special concerns or restrictions. (Only adults, only students, etc.)

Businesses each have an individual listing in the Town Directory. If you own one and would like updates made to the entry (or if you're an employee at an NPC-owned business and see a change that needs to be made), drop us a line here and let us know!

(You can also drop a note directly into the individual entry for your business at any time, and we'll get that updated ASAP.)

Please ping in with your address (or just the name of your building), number of living spaces you've got open, and any other pertinent info you'd like to add!

Please ping in with the name(s) of your adult character(s) and their place of residence, IF it's not listed in the Town Address List, or is listed incorrectly. Pre-arranged addresses that haven't been moved into yet are fine to list here too. If it's a spot in one of the apartments or the hotel, you don't need the street address, just apartment/room number.

I want a chicken caesar salad. A lot. Sadly, I suspect they're not serving that in the cafeteria today, because it's usually a Monday thing.

ETA: Given the *%^& that LJ is being, changes will probably happen in one fell swoop later on today or tomorrow - I'm not ignoring you! Just not replying until I get the update made. Questions, though, can go here and I'll get right back with you ASAP.

Hey! Just dropping a line to let you know that Jonothon seems to have inherited some sort of magical handwavey unofficial management of Groovy Tunes, and the staff currently consists of himself, Christian, and Delirium. Alice and Hurley can be knocked off of there, because they're no longer on the island.

And I'm not technically a business owner, but Jono seems to have taken it upon himself to hire over at Groovy Tunes, which has openings for anyone interested, every day of the week except for Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

I can totally negotiate my Tuesday away to anybody who desperately wants it, mind. I'm easy like that.

Also, there was no way to officially get Zack to quit from Cafe Fina because it's fallen under the curse of NPC management, but if you'd pull him off of the employee list, that would be lovely. I can't speak for Lion-o, of course, but I think the unofficial agreement between us was that if people want to use it, since it's currently employee-challenged, they can feel free to make posts on employee-free days and mod the cutlery as they see fit.

I'll poke at Thena later, to be sure.

Strokes of Genius has openings! For, actually, every single day. Since Jane is the only one left -and the owner- I tend to post with her once or twice a week, if I'm capable of coming up with something, so help is needed!

Adults or students are equally accepted.

Both Katchoo and Lily aren't working on Strokes of Genius anymore, so I think it's safe to remove them from the employee list.

The Arms Hotel has openings available on pretty much every day except for Fridays and Saturdays. Students and townies are definitely welcome, though I would love to hire some more adults. And Mary throws in some nice discounts including free food during your shift and discounts on hotel rooms for your family at Parents Weekend.

My penniless girl would be very grateful to take a Thursday shift!

Covent Garden Flowers needs to be updated:

Remove Joan Girardi, Dinah Lance, Hurley Reyes from the employee list

"Posts can (only) be made by: Eliza, employees" needs to be changed to Vida and employees. :)

Jessica is living at 24 Mallard Way - Mauvaise Chance Apartments.

Vida has several job opening at Covent Garden Flowers, sweet peas. Just about every day except Tuesday is available.

Sure thing! Do you wand the handwavy method, or a more IC approach? I was on my way to make a post with Jane right now...I swear.

Quinn could take a Monday or Tuesday shift? ... only I can't play it through right now because work sucks. But she wants a job :-).

Whichever day you'd prefer is yours! Mary would be happy to have Quinn working for her.

The Gig currently has openings available on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Townies or students are welcome, but be aware that the job involves animals and the job isn't as glamorous as she tries to make it.
