Secret Santa!

\o/ Oh yes, it's that time of year where we do an OOC Secret Santa gift exchange! It's an easy process that's been bringing joy into the hearts of muns for many years. Just sign up in this post by 3pm Monday, November 29th to say you want to participate. Then on Tuesday, you will get an email naming who the RNG has assigned for you to play Santa. Meanwhile, someone else gets RNG-assigned your name, and the fun begins!

You will have until December 23rd to make them gifts, and here's the catch - you cannot buy anything for them, with the exception of paid LJ time, extra userpics, or that sort of thing.

When you sign up, please include a list of things you like, as a note to your Secret Santa. For example:

Links to these comments will be provided in the notification emails on Tuesday 11/30, so you'll be able to get right to work on your gifts!

You can make as many or as few things for your Secret Santa as is convenient for you, and the notes are, naturally, just guidelines - you don't have to follow their wishlist to the letter! It's just meant to give you ideas. Please do remember that you signed up and are responsible for a gift for them, though.

On Thursday, December 23rd, we'll do our reveal post, where you can give and receive your gifts! \o/

First of all, thank you so much for signing up to do this! Here is a list of things I enjoy and would like, if you can find the time, this busy, busy holiday season.

• Icons! I love icons. In particular, I need them for thegirl_onfire, whose PB is Amelia Warner.
  
• While I have many talents, none of them includes the ability to create layouts. So a pretty layout for any of my characters would be divine!
  
• I'm also not quite patient enough to make mood themes these days, and one for any of my girls (or Puck!) would be a delight.
  
• Fanmixes! I heart music, especially things I can sing along with.
  
• Paid time/extra icons for ANNYYYYYY of my kids. Seriously, I can never have enough icons for any of them, and in particular, I'm bad about letting the time on my alums' accounts lapse.

You are awesome for participating, so thank you. Rather than talk about how good I may or may not have been, let's just skip to the part where I mention all the booze I have. Eh? Eh? See? I know what's really important.

While anything would be pretty awesome, here are a few things to make your job easier. Thank you again for agreeing to Santa for me.

• FH fanfic! I adore fanfic, of any genre or rating. Fic would be awesome


• Layouts! I have no artistic or graphics skills at all, so a layout for either of my girls would be shiiiiny.


• Fanmixes! I am too ignorant to be picky about music.


• Icons for Cindy! Her PB is Kristanna Loken, but I would loooove scans from the comic, Fables.


• Paid time and extra icon space! Karla is maxed for icon packages, but Cindy could always use more. And I'll never turn down more time for them.

Thanks for . . . uh, getting stuck with me? Well, for signing up mostly. But that too.

Now, I like shiny things, so that'll always make me happy, but here's a few things I'd find particularly shiny even if I am too lazy to bust out the real bullet-point HTML:

* Icons! I'm good on icons for Tahiri, I think, but Gabrielle and Kennedy in particular (PBs Renee O'Connor and Iyari Limon respectively) can always use more.
* Mood themes especially for Gabrielle and Kennedy would be lovely. (They don't have to be custom-made or anything; just pointing me in the direction of some would be awesome. Although on that second one, heh, good luck.)
* FH fic of any of my kids is always appreciated.
* Links to fanvids! That's always fun.
* Fanmixes -- this one's always a sticky one for me, I know, because I'm particular about music, so it's at the bottom of the list. I love bluegrass, folk, Celtic, alt-country, quirky indie rock, that sort of thing, so . . . heh. Yeah. Bottom of the list. Though if you happen to have the hookups for any kind of awesome bagpipes-and-drums stuff or Celtic fiddle, that would rock. Oh, word choice.
* And if all else fails, I can't argue with paid time. (Except for Sara, who doesn't have enough icon fodder to justify it, really.)

Oh, my favoritest Secret Santa,

Thank you for signing up for this!! (The extra exclamation points show how sincere I am :)) My list looks a lot like everyone else's list, for I am uncreative, but it doesn't mean I won't be super grateful for whatever you might give me. Some suggestions:

* Icons! I love icons, especially newer ones for momslilassassin, whose PB is Max Thieriot and has been in a few new (and regrettably not great) movies.

* Mood themes! The only one I have that is customized is for Anakin.

* Music! Either fanmixes or just "hey, this is cool and I've been listening to it" is great. I have 4300 songs currently loitering on my iTunes and my tastes are pretty diverse. If you like it, I'll try it!

*Paid time/extra icons, but this is real money and so I put it last because it's soooo not necessary.

I'd like to start by saying that thing you may have heard about regarding me is completely untrue, I've been nothing but good this year, really. I swear. On that note, here are some things that I would love:

Thank you for signing up for this, seriously. I will appreciate whatever you feel like doing.

However, the following would make me extra super-happy:

♥ Icons, for anyone but especially for life_inshadow and bitten_notshy. or, for that matter, paid space for extra icons.
♥ Musics! My tastes lean to indie/alt rock, Britpop, and the vaguely folksy, but I'll take anything.

I hate to point this stuff out and sound hideously ungrateful, but I tend to be extremely picky about layouts, so -- while I am awestruck people can put them together -- they aren't necessarily the best choice for me. Thank you so much for whatever comes my way! I'm pretty easy to please, so I'll be thrilled with anything, honest!

That said, a wishlist would probably help you along some, huh? That can be arranged!

♥ Icons are always, always love! Especially for not_a_parakeet, whose PB is Ben Foster, who has always given me a difficult time in the iconnable image source department. That said, I won't turn down comic icons of him, either, because I know all too well how Foster has a tendency to run around looking like a scruffy hobo.
♥ Any kind of artsy anything is so, so much love. Fanfic makes me grin from ear to ear, and fanart (yes, even stick people) do much the same. Little things that people put their time and creativity into never fail to make my day!
♥ Music! Especially if it follows some sort of theme. I have playlists for all of my pups, and I'll listen to absolutely any music under the sun, so I'd love to see what you think would work well for any of them!
♥ I would ask for moodthemes here, but Reno and Zack already have them, and best of luck finding enough fodder for Jonothon or Warren. That said, holy cow, if you do manage it for either of my X-boys? I would spend the rest of my life grovelling at your feet.
♥ Graphics or pretty code for my profile pages. I know I have them all customized, but they could all use an update, at least so far as the images I've used in them go.
♥ Paid time for any of my boys comes in last on the list... Keeping in mind things like how Zack and Jono both graduate in the summer, so don't bother wasting money on either of them if it'll pay them up past late spring, and so on. I feel like I have to ramble with caveats for this one, because asking for something that costs real money is always so weirdly touchy for me, you know?

I've been good this year like 85% of the time, so I think I deserve a little something fun! I like any of the following things:

- Icons! Because really, who doesn't like icons? I'll take icons for Zoe, Sam, or Jason, or even regular non-RP icons!
- Music! I can never have too much, and I love fanmixes, even if they're filled with music I already have, because new combinations make me smile.
- Fic! FH fic about any of my characters would be greatly loved!
- Mood themes! I'm just throwing multiple ideas out there at this point, but a mood theme would be loved too! Really, I'm easy this time of year. ;)
