Because we haven't done this since 2010, if the tags can be believed, add I suspect a lot of us want an excuse to talk about our newbies anyhow:

So for those of you who have never had to choose a PB, I envy you because it can be very very hard. For those who have, who do you use? Why did you choose them? Or do you have any future journals you want to talk about how you searched high and low to find that one perfect face for your character, or complain how you haven't?

This is just off the top of my head...

I'll start with Vinnie (Ryan Kwanten) because that got epically silly, first got sent to jail because of fraud his dad committed, then a while later he died in a prison riot, but still later he actually turned out to be in witness protection and after visiting his family one last time (in a suit that conveniently covered his face and not speaking so they didn't have to get him back) went to America. Where he died. For realz. There was an off-screen grave and everything.

Then there was Peter, who was in a barn that got burninated/blown up by Zoe the Summer Bay Stalker and had his organs transplanted into another character...then came back several months later from witness protection for a while. His brother Dan drowned heroically several years later saving wee children on summer camp from a flash flood.

Thor's dad went to jail for accidentally killing his wife when she tried to drown Thor as a baby. Thor himself left his hot older Doctor wife b/c he got mumps and became infertile but not before he managed to knock up his ex girlfriend during their omg-we-were-in-a-helicopter-crash-and-might-die-out-here-in-the-bush-sexytiems so he and the ex moved to the city to raise the baby(not so much silly as epically douchey).

Mel went from being a fairly nice nurse to a psycho who killed herself and made it look like murder because she was standing in the way of the ship the writers wanted, the hor as along term revenge plan for the death of her lesbian lover Zoe the Summer Bay Stalker.

Sally moved to Tasmania because people kept stabbing her.

Hugo fled town with Martha after his people smuggling operation got uncovered. We were supposed to see this as romantic, somehow.
