BDE Finale Brainstorming!

Aloha!

So Saturday night, the resistance will break into detention, and Sunday, the resistance will take on the rest of the school. Somewhere in the confusion during the battle on Sunday, a couple of RNGed folks are going to track down Umbridge and undo what she has wrought, but we have to get there first...

This post is for brainstorming the events of the weekend. We (the admins) don't have a specific plan of exactly who is going to do what - we wanted to let that be figured out by you guys, and by how the events of this week play out. So, this post is to start brainstorming ideas, and planning out the fights. It can also serve as a catch-all post for your thread links of IC planning, so dots can be connected and people can find each other.

Note that RNG signups end this afternoon, so make sure you sign up if you want to be part of taking Umbridge down!

For brainstorming the events of Saturday and Sunday from a resistance perspective.

Want to set off a chain of distractions downtown? Want to sneak into the castle and sabotage something? This is for general brainstorming and linking of IC threads if you've got them.

My character has an idea about something that might work, but it's not a full plan yet! This is for brainstorming about (and linking of IC threads pertaining to) the use of plan spare parts.

My character has found out that someone in the resistance is doing ____ and they want to do something about it. For general brainstorming (and linking of IC threads pertaining to) sabotaging and/or countering Resistance plans.

For planning (and linking of IC threads if you've got them) the defense of the school and detention this Saturday and Sunday.

For all your Glee/Mass Effect needs. Oh wait, wrong kind of crossover.

For resistance types looking for loyalists to spar with, either during the week or for the weekend battles.

For loyalists seeking resistance members for fighting, torturing and/or capturing.

For those who are looking to escape the fighting, and need some help.

But I'm an opportunist and I don't want to pick a side. Brainstorming for wily looters and backstabbing backstabbers.

For anything else that somehow did not get OCD'd.

Less an opportunist and more a comedic anarchist. If there's anyone who wants to deal with Yakko being insane for comic relief on Saturday and Sunday, let me know!

(FYI, I will be afk most of Saturday afternoon/evening, so please keep that in mind if you want insanity time.)

I don't even know if it could be done, but I had this idea where as Savannah is visiting the detention center to "question" people, she was actually trying to do an inventory of how many people might need extra help after they are freed from the detention center and who would be able to add to to the fight? She could do this inventory and pass it to her resistance contacts who could make sure it got to the right resistance people?

Like I said, I don't even know if it could be done or if it would mess things up, but it was an intriguing idea in my mind.

I started out thinking this was a spare part and suddenly it wasn't so spare... So Kitty has the easiest way in and out of detention ever, and she can take multiple people with her when she phases as long as there's physical contact. I'm thinking she could maybe bring some people with her as a quiet way to get the injured/too-traumatized-to-go-in-case-of-a-fight people out before the big stuff starts?
