We haven't done this since August, and I figured on a Friday and with half a semester behind us, it might be a good time for a check-in with our characters.

Everyone loves gabbing about their characters, don't even lie, so this is your chance. Talk as much or as little as you'd like! Talk about whatever you'd like! Upcoming plots, relationships (both romantic and friendship), enemies, plans for the future, anything!

Character's current goings on: Sometimes, it's hard for me to play her because she's so intensive and tiring. But, she's having fun hexing students and pissing off teachers. I'm enjoying her games of give and take with Anakin and Wade, particularly. I'd love to see her thread more with Roy. She'll be leaving soon but not before a big explosive ending.

Character's current mood: Eh, but a better kind than before.
Character's current goings on: She's still kind of stuck in this "meh" place, but Parents Weekend got her out of it a little so there's still hope for her. I just wanna shake her and see how she reacts. Also she thinks it's extremely weird and really unnerving that Anakin's going through the stuff she already lived through and knew about, and not giving warnings for everything is so hard.
Coming up (stuff that you've got planned that's on the horizon): She's going home next week to get a thing, and then I guess I should start on figuring out what to do with the book that got canceled that was supposed to fill in a bunch of pre-FOTJ details. Sigh.

Character's current mood: She's pretty content at the moment.
Character's current goings on: She's got a kitten named Medea, she feels like she finally fits in somewhere, she's mostly enjoying her classes and such, so overall, life's not bad at all!
Coming up (stuff that you've got planned that's on the horizon): Mercy needs to come out of the metaphorical coyote closet. Alec? Still willing to help with that? I really let things slide this summer due to a host of unpleasant rl things, but things are finally settling down and I want to get her to the point where she can be pretty openly her coyote self when she wants. She also needs to get Arietty's cars to her! Personally, I'd also love to see her get a boyfriend. We'll see.

Character name: Natalie Valentine Adams
Character's current mood: Mild. But isn't it always?
Character's current goings on: Natalie's stuff is about to start going downhill here soon. On the surface, things are good: Fandom hasn't done anything too evil to her lately, and Sam just met her parents which went okay, even if he's terrified of her mom. She's starting to have doubts, though, about whether she really wants to be in a relationship where she's missing her boyfriend more often than she gets to actually be around him. She's going to apply some disastrous Nat-logic to that.
Coming up: Breakup, woe. After that, personal rainclouds and a lot of archery practice and piano abuse and acting perfectly mild at certain friends who she won't count on to be supportive. Eventually, normalcy again.

Character's current mood: Over all: Bored. BORED and if she could be depressed, she would be. How about confused? Let's say she's bored and confused.
Mood at this exact moment: Confused about the case she's working on.
Character's current goings on: Currently she's been pulled away from the Academy and her internship in Tokyo City to be assigned as an intern to assist in a rash of armored car heights.
Coming up (stuff that you've got planned that's on the horizon): Ahaha! She's gonna solve the heists, and then, shhh, she's gonna be graduating a bit early and going on a round-the-dimensions vacation!

Character's current mood: Okayish?
Character's current goings on: She's still Very Concerned she's going to get turned in at any moment, but overall she's got friends, she has a puppy, and she hasn't died in like two months so woo!
Coming up (stuff that you've got planned that's on the horizon): Fall breeeeeeak! Other than that, no plans, but I'd love her to get to the point where she starts telling people about her background finally.

Character name: Atton Rand
Character's current mood: Keeping up a... sarcastic drunken face and attempting to achieve a state of denial.
Character's current goings on: Booze. Off-island girls. Unfortunate flashbacks to several years of his life he'd been hoping to have succeeded in running away from by now.
Coming up (stuff that you've got planned that's on the horizon): Absolutely nothing. Atton allows me to wing pretty much everything; the only stuff I have planned for him is a year and a half away from now. (Well, okay, there'll probably be nightmares while he's sharing a room with Sparkle, but that's about it.)
Needs threads with: Sia, Sparkle, Cade, Olive, any Jedi he hasn't annoyed recently and honestly just about anybody else.

Maybe he should accidentally dial Momoko. Clearly that could never go wrong.

One of these days I'll get around to flinging Nat at Atton, just for the one-off meta joke where she randomly assumes he knows French just because Marc-André Grondin is a French-Canadian from Montreal.

Character's current mood: Actually kind of happy, yay.
Character's current goings on: With me still trying to shake Jaina (see above) Kitty kind of became my primary and I don't know how this happened but that's okay. She's really settled in, she's still very "YAY BOYFRIEND" and she's just doing good...
Coming up (stuff that you've got planned that's on the horizon): ...so naturally next week she gets all the trauma. (If only I could burn the Gdoc when I'm done with it.) After that, there's a fun thing she needs to get around to.

Character's current goings on: Not much! She needs to get out more, I know, but there are three very loud characters to compete with in my head and they can all kick her ass.

Character name: Victor Mancha
Character's current mood: Relieved.
Character's current goings on: Meeting his kind-of-grandfather and getting along with him was huge for Victor. And he's kind of maybe getting a crush, but he doesn't think it'll go anywhere.
Coming up (stuff that you've got planned that's on the horizon): I need to continue his progress through canon sometime.
Needs threads with: Tony, Topher, Olive, Alec, Jono, Billy, Magneto, Karolina, Evan, Stiles, Sparkle for more horrifying cooking experiments ... all the people.

Character name: Stiles Stilinski
Character's current mood: Mostly okay. Burying things internally. The usual.
Character's current goings on: Stiles splits his time in between being in awe that people actually want to talk to him here and seeing how long he can torment Derek before he up and kills him.
Coming up (stuff that you've got planned that's on the horizon): Season two starts tomorrow and will finish up in December. And Stiles will need all the hugs. Or booze. He hangs out with mostly dudes so he'll probably have to settle for booze.
Needs threads with: Everyone, he likes talking to everyone. But to get more specific: Topher, Tony, Sia, Derek, Cade, Jackson (oh especially after kanima times), Eric, Kitty, Victor, Pinkie Pie and he should probably talk to more girls his own age because it still amazes him he's not being shunned.

Character name: Jack Priest
Character's current mood: Calm. Curious.
Character's current goings on: Dealing better with wolf stuff, back in college even if I keep forgetting to mention it. Managing the long-distance thing with Emma relatively well.
Coming up (stuff that you've got planned that's on the horizon): I am planless, though I'd love for him to have a mystery to solve again at some point. I'd love for him to teach, but it hasn't felt organic yet.
Needs threads with: Bo, Jono, Jaina, Kitty, Karla, Derek, Stiles, Pinkie Pie, Eric, Emma, Kaidan, Ronan. He's more or less transitioned to mainly hanging out with adults, which is a nice place to get a graduate/townie to.

Character's current goings on: Nothing and that is sad. She's slipped to the wayside a lot and it's just been hard getting her out more since she's not the type to just hang out watching TV and be social.

Character's current mood: Studious!
Character's current goings on: She is at college! And is doing well! And has friends! And is Getting Involved in Causes! Using a lot of exclamation points!
Coming up (stuff that you've got planned that's on the horizon): The rest of season one! She'll be back at homecoming to gush at people.
Needs threads with: Rilla, Dave, Petra, pretty much anyone she was friendly with before.

Character name: Anakin Solo
Character's current mood: Broody and traumatized, but improving.
Character's current goings on: Fall break! I was going to send him through more canon that week and decided I'd let him have a week off before I go and be mean to him some more. Mainly, he's just dealing with the fallout of the Centerpoint disaster, which could have been worse if not for getting to see his Jaina and Tahiri over Parents' Weekend.
Coming up (stuff that you've got planned that's on the horizon): More canon. I simultaneously look forward to and dread every step I take him closer to Star by Star. D: D: D: Other than that, he's going to actually have an X-Wing and astromech on island soonish (this is actually setup for future canon catchup, ahem) and um . . . basically it's all canon-related. This is kinda sad.
Needs threads with: . . . people not related to him, although them too! And there's a conversation with Sia I keep meaning to have him have. I feel like I should throw him at the JA kids some more, the techie kids . . . HE HAS A LIMITED SHELF LIFE, I NEED TO GET HIM OUT MORE. (Stop being all-consuming, work week. *shakes fist*)

I have to admit I'm kind of cackling about the idea of him being all "I HAVE A SHINY NEW XJ -- heyyyyyyyy, no fair, your X-Wing is cooler." *SULKS*

Character name: Stephanie Brown
Character's current mood: Good, in a neutral kind of way.
Character's current goings on: A whole lot of nothing because wow, I suck these days.
Coming up (stuff that you've got planned that's on the horizon): I'm beating my head into a wall trying to rework the War Games arc so it's 100% less fridgey but hits the right character/plot points. I may give up on this. The vague general idea, though, is to start moving her toward being Batgirl-era Steph.
Needs threads with: . . . I just kinda need to be less failtastic so she actually has threads. So, everyone pretty much.

Character name: Jace Wayland
Character's current mood: Bitchy. As per usual.
Character's current goings on: He's trying to not piss off Natalie as much. Trying. And he's gonna give some serious side eye to Alec when he figures out he's been hanging out with a boy and hasn't said anything.
Coming up (stuff that you've got planned that's on the horizon): Can we just pretend this fail canon doesn't exist? Please?

Character's current mood: Content
Character's current goings on: Whelp, the "I could kill you in the blink of an eye" half of his and Percy's parents seem to be okayish with their relationship so there's that. And his birthday is Sunday. Spoiler alert: He's old as hell.
Coming up (stuff that you've got planned that's on the horizon): Nooooothing much, just enjoying his senior year but I'm sure there will be a "wtf am I supposed to do now?" freak out at some point.

Character name: Olive Penderghast
Character's current mood: OMG WE'RE GOING ON SAFARI, GUYS.
Character's current goings on: Nothing super-huge! She's sort of vaguely leaking out details of what happened back at Ojai North -- people now know there was a pep rally burlesque number, that she was expelled, that she stood up for losers in a way that didn't work out for her, and Karolina at least knows about the outfits, sort of. THE PIECES ARE COMING TOGETHER. Otherwise, she's way less gloomy than she was over the weekend, and her life is NOT OVER OMG FOREVER, and she has her wee crush that won't ever becoming something because her life is so hard and unfair, you guys. :(
Coming up (stuff that you've got planned that's on the horizon): I'm mean, so there'll be a big public reveal of her webcast later this month, because she's melodramatic and needs to freak out over something that honestly no one's going to really care about, I think. (Also I want her to cry and say she has a twig in her eye.)

Character's current goings on: Nothing much as everything was put on hold for a month with work.

Seriously, though. Cassidy needs to have her first boyfriend. She's in her third year of being away at school and she is sixteen. She needs a boyfriend for the experience and fun of it and to make sure she isn't blindsided by canon events in the future. ~~I refuse, refuse to let her be broken as much, tyvm.~~ Plus, so she has to actually start thinking about the future and her Virgin Night. She is starting to think that she should talk to Karla about it so it happens BEFORE she leaves Fandom in a year and a half.

Character name: Kaidan Alenko
Character's current mood: Saddened, a little angry, trying to keep his chin up.
Character's current goings on: Not much. He's going along on the trip soon, and he's already in full-on preparation mode for the big island-wide Citadel field trip he's organizing on behalf of the Alliance, but at the same time he's still retreating and so not over his own shit yet (or as Joker liked to put it, deniaaaaaaaaal about... everything, from the Alliance dicking him around to, well, his many issues in the wake of Shepard's death.)
Coming up (stuff that you've got planned that's on the horizon): More therapy, the Citadel trip, more of his fellow Normandy alumni dropping off the radar, and in a month or so... his first military mission since the destruction of the Normandy. But not before a wee meltdown on the Citadel, mwah.
Needs threads with: The usual suspects, ie Jack and Ronan, but he also so needs more adult friends. It's just a pita getting him to stop secluding himself, but... I need to do more of that. SO BASICALLY COME ONE COME ALL (and I'd love for him to talk to the students more, too. Maybe this trip...)

Character's current mood: Busy. Insanely so.
Character's current goings on: Well, he's trying to telecommute his political consultant job whilst keeping all of his other plates spinning, and that doesn't really give him a lot of time for a social life.
Coming up (stuff that you've got planned that's on the horizon): SHIT BE GOIN' DOWN IN THAILAND, AKA communiques from Bean will be pouring in. Otherwise, this stage in his life is pretty handwavy. La.
Needs threads with: Natalie, Kenzi, Topher, Alec, Victor, basically anybody with superpowers who doesn't yet realize he's kind of a weasel, basically anybody whenever I manage to actually get him out there. Hopefully more this week.

Character's current goings on: She's running the science club and theoretically in the Young Achievers, but Liara has a brain like a sieve when it comes to the every-day stuff ~~which is convenient when work causes my own brain to flake out~~. Most of the time she's running around trying to absorb as many books into her brain as she can while... attempting to avoid social interaction that'll lead to her flailing all over the place.
Coming up (stuff that you've got planned that's on the horizon): Aaabsolutely nothing planned. She's a freshman, so I'm taking it slow with her.

Character's current mood: Misanthropic. Plotting horrible carnage that'll never actually happen. The usual.
Character's current goings on: Advising the science club. And testing. Just testing. It's all she really wants to do anyway. (Look, sometimes fatal things happen in the course of pursuing science.)
