Your character has just ingested a large quantity of veritaserum, or "truth potion." Any questions asked of them they have to answer truthfully, whether they want to or not! There's absolutely no way around it.

I have a slightly more realistic outlook on life... It's still pessimistic, yes, but I'm more inclined to do something about what's bothering me than I was back then, when moping seemed a good deal more my speed.
