Meme: Sorting Hat

Okay, I've actually wanted to do this meme for weeks but then I was all, 'wait until the newbies are here' and now they are here so here we go. This was last done in March and we've had a ton of new people since then, and plus we've had more time to get to know the people who've been around for a while! So to steal from [livejournal.com profile] solo_sword:

For those of you not familiar with Harry Potter, there are four houses into which the students are sorted based on certain defining traits:

Gryffindor- daring, courage and chivalry
Hufflepuff- hard workers, loyalty, fairness
Ravenclaw- wit, learning, and wisdom
Slytherin- cunning, resourcefulness and ambition

A couple points for clarification because I've seen a lot of sorting stuff over the years:
All hero types are not necessarily Gryffindors.
All jerks/bad guys are not necessarily Slytherins, nor are all Slytherins necessarily jerks/bad guys.
Hufflepuff is not where you stick someone just because you can't think of anything else.
People can totally fit into more than one house.

All you have to do is ping your characters in, and people can chime in with which house they think your character belongs in. You can totally comment as to where you think your character should go, too. Feel free to give reasons when sorting people because that's half the fun, just don't be mean or I will totally come over there. And don't forget to check back during the day as more people ping in.

SUCH a Slytherin. He's kind of sneaky, fairly amoral, but the big thing is that Topher will try to outsmart us all in the sneakiest, least-in-your-face way ever.

See, I gotta disagree with that, because Topher is kind of the opposite of sneaky. I mean, he's direct to the point of alienating people because of his directness. Behind-the-scenes sneaking is so not his thing and the other Slytherins would eat him aliiiiive.

I've always seen him as a Ravenclaw, tbh.

And see, I totes see that. 'Sneaky' is the wrong word to use there buy I was struggling -- I think I just mean he's more likely to find a workaround or loophole so he doesn't have to ever take the Gryff way of doing things, and that's still Ravenclaw.

Also I think I may be filing him in Slytherin because I put him in the "bullied in school and going to show those assholes" camp with Snape. MY ISSUES, let me show you them.

Yesssss, I totally agree with that bit. I just think he goes after what he wants (which is sometimes a bit show-offy more than necessarily revenge-based) in a super Ravenclawish way.

But him fitting in with Snape would totally explain why I love the hell out of both of them. I mean. >.>
