Meme: Anonymous Love

Well, it's been just over six months since we last did this meme, and I've been in dire need of it for a while and have basically been counting down the days till it seemed appropriate to do it again. So, today is the day.

1. Make a comment to this post with the name of your character. (If you play more than one character, you can make a comment for each of them.)
2. Go through and leave anonymous comments in other characters' threads saying nice things about them. (About the character or how they're played, or even something you like about the player; any of this is acceptable as long as they're nice things.
3. Read the comments your characters get and feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside.

He's such an integral part of Fandom now, and he's had the most interesting growth to get where he is. Fandom being Fandom, some of those opportunities couldn't possibly have happened otherwise, and you took them. It's intimidating to take off in a drastically different direction from canon, and you rocked that.

I'm in constant awe of both the way you and Fry have managed to keep Ender and Ben interesting to watch through all these years (both together and separately, of course!), and the way you pull off playing characters like the Wiggins. They come off exactly as intimidatingly intelligent and privately damaged as they should, and I tip my imaginary hat to you for that.

I'd never even heard of Bay's canon before you apped her, and now I'm making people tivo it for me. She's a very refreshing character, and it's nice to have her around as a counterpoint to all the island insanity.

I will never not love Atton. You're really good at the complex characters, and he feels like a perfect example of that, where he can make you want to hug him yet be frustrating at times but you always want to root for him.

I'm just going to do this in one comment for all your characters, because it's impossible to break this up when it's so tied to who you are as a player. 

You have a real knack for regular character analysis and canon close-reading that's beyond what I find myself doing on a day to day basis, and you make it look effortless. It isn't only that you bring out positive traits that I would never have realized were present in characters like Jackson and Natalie without your calling our attention to it (traits like Jackson's relentless pride and determination and Natalie's intelligence and capacity for love), but you also understand the worlds they come from with a level of comprehensiveness that I almost want to describe as wisdom. In your catchups, everyone is complex and fully-formed, not just the player characters - but your player characters are some of the most fleshed-out and real-feeling ones in the game. I'm so glad you joined this merry band when you did, and I hope you never leave.

Oh, Peter.

I love that you've never really softened him up or made him more of a typical teenager (whininess notwithstanding), even while he's growing up to accept other people's different pursuits a little better. A little. Or at least making a conscious effort not state his disapproval out loud.

I just love him, in all his frustrating and complex and overly ambitious glory, and am looking forward to watching him moving along through canon. It'll be interesting.

Ron maybe doesn't get out and about much, but he's one of those characters who that actually fits in that it doesn't seem IC for him to stick his nose into people's business all the time, and it makes it all the better when he does make appearances outside his office. Also I love his interactions with April.

And I'm never getting over how perfect a mayor he is for this town.

Seriously though, I'm really going to miss her. You did such a wonderful job with her, and it's been fantastic watching her grow into the character she becomes in canon, and getting to be a part of that journey.

Sarah's snark, her... unique moral code, and her capacity for being a rude hotass are all off the charts, and I adore her for that. I also love you for turning me on to her canon, because No Heroics is one of the cleverest and most enjoyable superhero things I've seen in quite some time, so good job getting yourself and me on board.

Yeul's a beautiful Zen flower made of deep-seated tragedy and acceptance of that fact. She manages to break my heart and warm it at the same time. There's just something about her that makes every thread I've had with her feel like... not quite a warm hug, but like there's this inevitability and that's okay.

I might be getting needlessly esoteric here. Yeul just makes me happy. And really sad.

I know next to nothing about Karina's canon, but I do know she intrigues me from what I've seen and I really want to thread with her when schedules and stars permit.

Also on a shallow note, her icons are some of the prettiest in the game.

Sia's no-nonsense outlook on the world coupled with her moments of princessy brattishness and stubbornness make her a lot of fun to ping off. Even if sometimes the threads don't go anywhere because of it. There's always a sense that something is happening in a thread. You've also done a great job at introducing her to some of Earth's *cough* technological marvels, and her friendship with Jessica is all kinds of perfect.
