A Handy-Dandy BDE Guide!
With the Vault dig site in operation and the various Hyperion technology online as of early this morning, it's time for your guide to all the current and upcoming new things in Fandom!

SMALL LOCK BOXES
Basic information
--- They are tiny metal boxes.
--- There is money in them; specifically, about $5-$20.
WHEN to find them: Right now!
WHERE to find them: All around town! Hidden in nooks and crannies, just casually sitting on park benches, mod at will!
-----

NEW-U STATIONS
Basic information
--- They are actually more like really big antennas than actual stations of any kind.
--- They also don't require you to do anything! Except, you know, die.
--- From your perspective, dying and respawning is a giant blue pixel-y wormhole-like tube that you go through until you're completely respawned. It's trippy, yes.
--- From everyone else's perspective, your body disintegrates into pixels and then gets rebuilt in front of the last New-U you passed, with all your injuries healed and all your possessions intact (except for your money, see below).
--- The respawn process automatically takes 7% of whatever money you have on you as Hyperion's fee for respawning you. If you have no money on you, the fee is waived.
--- Upon a completed respawn, the New-U will speak to you in a soothing female customer service voice. Possible messages are available in textual form over here.
WHEN to find them: Right now!
WHERE to find them: The dorm lobby, on the way into the preserve, the corner of Sphinx and Mallard, outside the Perk, and outside Diamond in the Rough. See them also conveniently on the map here.
-----

GUN VENDING MACHINES
Basic information
--- Your main way of acquiring ridiculous weapons!
--- They have a slot for money, and a control panel you can use to select one of the weapons on offer. Or you could just put money in and mash some buttons until a random gun falls out.
--- The prices are handwavy but not too steep. You should get a reasonably powerful gun with the contents of a lootable lockbox or two.
WHEN to find them: Right now!
WHERE to find them: The dorm lobby, outside the Perk, and outside Needful Things. See them also conveniently on the map here.

GUNS, GLORIOUS GUNS
Basic information
--- Check out this video HERE for a visual guide, or in the Borderlands wiki HERE for a more in-depth look. However, these links are mostly for the curious, as this post here will provide you with all the information you really need!
--- Guns come in several classes: repeater pistols, revolvers, submachine guns, combat rifles, shotguns, sniper rifles, and rocket launchers (which are rare).
--- The above classes also come in several types: normal (= just basic bullets), incendiary (= bullets light stuff on fire), shock (= bullets electrocute the target), explosive (= bullets explode), and corrosive (= bullets are covered in acid).
--- The elemental effects listed above continue to affect the target for about ten seconds after a successful shot. (With the exception of explosive, which just… explodes.)
--- To mod a weapon for yourself, simply pick one class from the first list and a type from the other, and you're set! For something more specific, poke at the first two links, and/or Corrie.
--- Because of a convenient network glitch, all the weapons available to Fandomites have infinite ammo, based on the digistruct technology which also provides you with respawns as well as the contents of the vending machines.
--- You will also get to keep your new shiny weapons once the BDE is done! … But only as very fancy paperweights. The guns only take Hyperion ammo, and once Hyperion is no longer there to generate it, no more shooty.
WHEN to find them: Right now!
WHERE to find them: In the gun vending machines! Some may also fall off dead bad guys and hostile wildlife, along with money.
-----

HYPERION PERSONNEL
Basic information
--- Hyperion employees are really just regular dudes! Albeit ones who are loyal to a now-multiversal exploiter of a company. All of them are engineers, one of two different types.
--- Regular engineers have a powerful robotic exoskeleton, which is great both for hard manual labor as well as picking things up and throwing them at you really hard. At close range, they can also punch you equally hard, and activate their cutting lasers, which you do not want to stand in front of.
--- Combat engineers don't have an exoskeleton, but they do have guns! And their wits about them, so if you attack them, they'll try to find cover to shoot you from.
--- All engineers will be in the habit of calling you bandits, and all of your fighting will just be an annoyance and a distraction to them. You can find some of the things they'll say HERE.
WHEN to find them: Right now! But they won't be hostile until the people of Fandom get hostile first, and so there aren't very many combat engineers around, except patrolling the perimeter around the Vault dig site.
WHERE to find them: Around town, but mostly in the general vicinity of the unexplored wooded area, and Taste of Thai and Mooby Land. See this map HERE.
-----

PSYCHOS
Basic information
--- Masked bandits in armor made of vehicle parts, wielding knives and yelling nonsensical things. See examples of said nonsensical things here. (And this is what they sound like.)
--- Psychos have little sanity and no sense of self-preservation, meaning they will run straight at you as soon as they spot you, with the intention to go stabbity.
--- Luckily the car parts also do not make for sturdy armor, so they are pretty vulnerable to decently powered guns, especially ones with elemental damage.
WHEN to find them: From Wednesday, December 11th onwards!
WHERE to find them: In the eastern parts of town, mostly on Chimera Court but stretching on to Loon Drive and Apocalypse Avenue, with an outpost inside Kwik Stop. See this map HERE.
-----

SKAGS
Basic information
--- Skags are dog-like things in size and appearance, except their heads open up when they're about to bite you.
--- They travel in packs of three to five, although lone stragglers may occasionally be seen as well.
--- Most skags will get right in your personal space and try to jump up on you to bite you.
--- Some skags (aptly named “barf skags") will also projectile-vomit acid at you. It's not nice.
--- Easily killed with even most of the simplest weapons.
WHEN to find them: From Wednesday, December 11th onwards!
WHERE to find them: In the preserve! See this map HERE.
-----

BULLYMONGS
Basic information
--- Giant 6-8 ft. hulking beasts with two small legs, four huge arms (although two are often against the ground) and a tiny head with a tiny brain inside.
--- They can jump impressive distances, and also throw things at you. Including things the size and weight of a car.
--- Hard to kill, unless you manage to hit them in their tiny head. Taking them on alone is not advisable.
--- Thankfully don't move in large packs. If three or more bullymongs are together, at least one of them is a monglet rather than a fully-grown bullymong.
WHEN to find them: From Wednesday, December 11th onwards!
WHERE to find them: In the preserve! See this map HERE.
