2050's Dystopia
Don't forget to attend school twelve hours a day, kids. And definitely don't skip your four hour shop class sessions.
Re: 2050's Dystopia
So I figure that among the cliques there has to be a group that stays quiet publicly then does good stuff as part of an underground movement (as opposed to what I have to assume would be a group that can't keep quiet and KEEPS making trouble at all times). It's something that actually forces people into keeping their identities secret.
And of course that's where I put Johnny Storm. He's not a genius student, but he works hard during the day and keeps out of trouble as much as he can. And at night, he lets the fact that he can become a fireball of person disguise his face while he superheroes around.
I should probably also note that my Johnny is the Ultimate version (BECAUSE OF COURSE IT IS, like there was ever going to be any mystery as to who was playing him) who appeared in this Fandom after the Morlock Tunnels were raided, if anyone's been following Ultimat continuity to that degree. I'm not sure Chris Evans is the right PB but I looked for someone else long enough and decided to go with the simple choice. :D
Re: 2050's Dystopia
He has really crappy luck with Fandom, okay.
Warren definitely doesn't support the regime, but once he stumbled into it he wound up stuck as a teacher, teaching everything his supervillain father taught him about battle strategy to the bright young minds of tomorrow, in the name of - look, there's probably a whole spiel about the current regime, but he stopped paying attention to what the words really are a long time ago and just rattles off the syllables.
Warren doesn't hide what he can do. Anyone with access to records of the island before this dictatorship would be able to figure out his powers anyway, so there's not a hell of a lot of point. But he does support the underground to the best of his ability, gathering whatever information he can in his capacity as a teacher to pass on to the stealthy do-gooders in any way possible.
Via fortune cookies, maybe.

Her official day job is religious studies teacher and cheer coach at the school. The unofficial one is spying on the kids. She can be convinced to look the other way on some minor misbehavior -- but she always has a price.
There is still a good person somewhere inside Quinn. It's just deep, deep, deep inside.
Re: 2050's Dystopia
As with the original FH-Jamie, he's no doubt the bane of every teacher's existence. He's sly enough to play the bumbling fool as opposed to the prankster though I doubt that gets him into any less trouble.
"Really Principal Underwood, I'm very sorry. I was practicing trying to pull a rabbit out of my hat. I have no idea how they ended up in your private bathroom."
1400's Medieval
Re: 1400's Medieval
She's also doing pretty well in hunting, on the island and mainland, for what it's worth, if anyone is looking for food.
If anyone wants to share a house with her, I think she'd be amenable to another woman.
Re: 1400's Medieval
He joined the monks soon after arriving in the town and has acclimated well to a life of work and meditation. He spends most of his time helping to build the castle walls, though occasionally he's called in to mediate when there's some sort of criminal misbehavior among the students. He has a reputation for being able to shake out the perpetrator and convince him or her not to act out again.
Some days he's relatively happy. Some days he starts drinking at noon. Some days both things are true.
Re: 1400's Medieval
But, she used to be married to a mobster in the early 1930s, and now she runs a small tavern in the 1400s. So, she can't say she's bored, and she has more of the kind of independence she used to want. She doesn't stray near the castle a lot – ugh, monks – but chooses instead to make an effort to make the tavern a prime meeting place for people. Laughter and stories are what she craves, even if it comes with hard work and a lot of wondering whether she should just pack up her things and attempt to get home again.
100's Roman Fortress
mmmm, pretty. Young groups of children are brought there to become soldiers; the fact that strange new children keep appearing, well, they don't ask questions about that.Re: 100's Roman Fortress
And he's never once gotten an order right in the mess hall.
Re: 100's Roman Fortress
Re: 100's Roman Fortress
What's a Mord'Sith down on her luck to do on an island that's never even heard of D'Hara? If you said manipulate your way onto the teaching staff and terrify the students while plotting to take over once you've gotten the lay of the land, you'd be right! Lucky you, no agiel for you today.
Re: 100's Roman Fortress
Because what every Roman soldier factory needs is a super enthusiastic, super accident prone yet seemingly undestructible wannabe cheerleader. Yeah, you've probably heard of her. About all the times she's tumbled down stone steps without getting a scractch, or done unnecessarily flashy (and pointless) moves with a sword and somehow miraculously hasn't managed to harm herself.
Seriously, the centurions are at their wits' end with her. Everyone else... well, she's nice? If a little overbearing about it, sometimes.
If You Put An OOC On An OOC Post
Re: If You Put An OOC On An OOC Post
Once I chopped the "Jr" off my search, the dystopian future made MUCH more sense.
