meme: veritaserum

Ask for a questions-type meme and you will get a questions-type meme! We haven't done this one since February, it looks like, so!

Your character has just ingested a large quantity of veritaserum, or "truth potion." Any questions asked of them they have to answer truthfully, whether they want to or not! There's absolutely no way around it.

As usual, nothing is gained from this ICly but it's still fun. Go forth and be honest!

Did you really like the tea I created for you or were you just being nice?
sharp_as_knives: (tea)

I did enjoy the drink, though as I said I wouldn't want it often. I was a little disappointed it wasn't simply a blend of teas, though. A bartender can make a cocktail; I wanted to see some of your own expertise.

Are you surprised people want to be your friend, all things considered?

Why should I be? I have a lot of wonderful qualities, and I can be quite charming when I want to. I might be surprised if some of them continue to be my friend if they should discover my diet and hobbies, but not at the moment.

Would you ever consider feeding...well, someone, without telling them what it was? (I've heard it tastes like chicken, after all.)

I have sometimes made a habit of it. But I'm being a bit more careful here on the island, given that I can't account for all the ways in which various people might have to tell. And I had to promise not to do it without prior OOC arrangement, anyway.

(It does not, however, taste like chicken. Usually; a lot depends on the way it's cooked.)

So, c'mon, admit it: when I was in your class, I had you fooled, right? How much do you even know about me and my intentions, now?

When you were in my class, I thought you no more sullen than the average teenager; I certainly had no idea you were a war criminal with a larger body count than my own. Then again, we didn't speak much.

Now? From what I've heard on radio, your intentions seem to mostly involve running from your trauma and drinking. Hopefully for your own sake healing. The thing about you that worries me the most is your friendship with the dean. He threw you under the metaphoric bus once; I don't trust he won't do it again. I don't know you well enough to care about you one way or the other, but Sparkle cares for you, and I care for him.

You know, I was going to respond to that last part with something about how that shows both you and Sparks really don't get the complexities of the whole Jedi bit, and then I had to look at myself and laugh hysterically and headdesk for a while, so...

So, why teaching, anyway? What do you get out of it?

And if you're actually in it for us, too, what is it you want us to get out of it?

I enjoy teaching. I'm self-aware enough to realize that a part of that is ego - wanting to leave my mark on the next generation. But I also enjoy opening people to some of the wonderful things in life; there is so much to learn and to experience, and if I can help with that, I very much want to.

I want you to get growth out of it, and a sense of the possibilities before you. I want you all to become just a little more interesting; too many people in this world are dull.

Is part of the reason you're so against Anakin because you know if people find out about your hobbies, you'll get turned in to the authorities too?

A large part of my initial worry was that, yes. And there was also some genuine concern about sending off a child to death for poor decisions. Now, however, I'm mostly against him because I found him to be terribly rude and inflexible.
