SO. We haven't done this one since -- hold on, guys -- AUGUST OF 2012.

And I think we're a smidge overdue.

Five Things to Five People

Make a list of five things your character would like to say to five different people and don't include their names. The messages don' t have to be secrets. Try to keep it to those on the island (or those off island like our esteemed alums and expatriates!), but if you need to pad your list, or it's really important, non-islanders (canonical characters that might not be IG) count too!

Yes, you can do more than five, and by all means, please reply to one another/guess at each other's responses!

1. Thank you for everything you've done to help me, here. Seriously. Without you around, I'd probably have tetanus, among other things.

2. Helping you feels like one of the better things I've done since I got out of my tower -- I've never had the opportunity to teach someone any kind of a skill before. It's kind of amazing how good that feels.

3. I really do think you're one of the most beautiful people I've met here -- especially when you're yourself.

4. If I'd ever had a sibling, I'd want them to be like you. You're protective and sweet, but not looking to inhibit anything I'm doing, either. It's a wonderful feeling.

1. As is almost universally true: the real thing is so much better than every fictitious imagining of it. And I'm so glad you're my friend, even if you care distressingly little about the quality of anyone's clothing or the preservation thereof.

1. It's been a long, long time since I've really known what it was like to be a sister. It wasn't real, but... It was a good reminder. And I don't think I would mind being a sister the way you were a sister, if I wasn't so afraid.

2. I have never in my right mind been so comfortable with anybody as I am with you. And a lot of that is progress on my own part, and I'll concede that, even if sometimes I need you to remind me of it, but a lot of that is about you, too. You're my safe place. It's nice to have one of those.

3. You encourage me to do so much more than I'm still ready to do... but that isn't a bad thing. I think I would like to spend more time with you, if only to observe how you keep the control you have. It might help me be more confident with mine, even if I never outright use them the way you do.

4. There are very few people I'm not afraid of hurting in the world. That alone would make me wonder... But then, the things this island has shown us between you and I... That leaves me wondering, too. And the fact that you're brave and strong in a way I can't imagine myself ever being... really just adds to it.
