meme: do you know my canon?

Apparently we haven't done this since July 2014, and since we have new people with new canons coming in, why not?

Ping in with your canon (as specifically as you'd like for giant insane comic, SW and Power Ranger stuff). Then wait for other people to ping in with their canons! If you're familiar with it, tell them! And then, yay, new people to squee with!

Which, thanks to SWTOR, is veering off increasingly more obviously and cheerfully into flat-out "we're a still-living Star Wars AU!" territory.

One of these days, I'll pause long enough in playing SWTOR to actually start KOTOR. I'm not sure how many grains of salt to take the SWTOR-seeded Revan stuff with, though?

A lot. A lot of grains. SWTOR pretty much undid a lot of the really cool character- and myth-building stuff they did for Revan in KotOR 2 especially.

I kind of figured that might be the case, yeah. A lot of the SWTOR-Revan stuff seemed a little stilted, and I got the feeling that there had to be more to it than that.

All the more reason for me to try tackling these games during my break!

NGL, I went, "...huh. Wonder what Len thinks of this?"

But I got an HK loyalty chip out of it, so I was good. :)

Len thinks that it is a crying shame that they took an extremely complicated and unusual Jedi Knight who still had plenty of story potential in her, killed her off, and then stuck her in SWTOR as a personality-free plot device. :(

She's the Jedi spirit who guides you to not!Revan. (Who then randomly becomes a split-personality megalomaniac in the expansion because... idk, the idea of a multi-faceted Force user was just too complicated, I guess.)

Huh. I did not have a Jedi spirit! Maybe that's a Pub side difference? I did it with a Sith.

Oh, wait, that's in the Jedi Prisoner quest.

Sorry. It is all a haze of WHY for me.

I . . . Still haven't finished KotOR 2. *hangs head* I kept meaning to and then Fallout 4 ate like 650 hours and counting of my life . . .

Which officially makes you the first person I've met who's probably played this series before I did!

(My brother bought me KotOR 2 when I'd asked for KotOR 1 for my birthday... because KotOR 2 had just come out and he couldn't tell the box was different.)

There's always a chance I reapp Mira. And every time I have a student opening, I can't say I won't app Bastila some day if I can ever get myself to remember how many damn L's are in her name. I think I spelled it right? I have zero confidence that I did.

You, sir, in fact have the correct amount of L's!

Also MIRA.

I don't know why I can never spell it confidently. But I always change my guess and usually have to google it so it doesn't turn into a Bastila Shun.

I've been looking for an excuse to use that pun for over a decade.
