Lucille: You are so much more like my superiors from Homeworld than I had even realized. That... isn't a compliment.

Breq: Your appreciation for music is one I can certainly respect. I'm glad to have you aboard.

Seivarden: So far as houseguests go, I've certainly had worse. Stay as long as you need to get yourself settled. Don't let the cats out. We'll have to actually have a conversation at some point, eh mate?

Peridot: I enjoy talking to you too, and I will happily support you if you have to suffer prejudice. The advice to kick people might not be appropriate in every situation, but I still think Paris deserves it. Perhaps try the other strategy too sometime?

Jono: I am very happy working for you. It bothers me a little that you can reach into my mind, but at the same time it is comfortable familiar.

This new work schedule will slowly be the death of me...This is, what? Day 4 out of 8 in a row...

I have greatly enjoyed discussing my thoughts and problems wih you, but I can't help but wish you were a bit more...responsive. I worry that I am simply talking at you, rather than with you, but your perspectives, short as they may be compared to my own long-winded rants, are always a welcome addition to my view of things, and appreciate it greatly!

I am so grateful to have such a wonderful little Big Sibling! You are magnificent! I truly hope that one day, I may show you all the wonderful things about Hyrule that I know you will find fascinating and incredible, and perhaps you can show me things of your own home that I can learn from! I trust that we will continue to be great friends, always learning from each other and making each other's day just that much brighter!

Our conversations have been interesting, and I hope you manage to make the reforms you wish for. I have plenty of experience when it comes to making political changes, although mostly of the military kind, and I'm happy to share them. In my current situation I prefer not to talk about my past, though.

Summer: You're strange, even so far as humans go, I think. But I kind of like that about you. I'm strange so far as Gems go, so it works out. And your enthusiasm to teach me about things I don't understand is much appreciated. You're good. You're a good human.

Prince Sidon: Being tall would be a definite point in your favor on Homeworld. Being willing to use that height to assist people who are smaller than you is a point in your favor here. I'm fascinated by your pleasant attitude, even if it confuses me. How are you so happy all the time, anyway? That said... I like you. You're one of the good ones, I think.

If there's anything I regret about what I've done over the past few weeks, it's only because I'm afraid of what you'll think of me because of them. I still don't understand how all this came from a sarcastic little comment on a bus, but that sarcastic little comment on a bus was possibly the best thing I've ever done because it lead me to the best friendship I've ever had. I don't know what that says about me, probably nothing too good, but I don't care. I'm just glad you're there for me, Galactic Federations and robot versions of myself notwithstanding (and hopefully nihilistic apocalypse cannibalistic matrimonial methods of running away from my issues, too).

Ghanima: Your class is easily one of the most sensible things I've taken since coming to this island. Even when assignments relating to business and romance don't necessarily make sense to me, I find I can pick up context from the discussion leading up to and during them. I appreciate that.

Ada: ... I miss having you around. You gave me my first appearance modifier! You never really looked at me like I was a curiosity! And you're one of the first people around here that I realized I could trust to assist me because you wanted to assist me, not becaues you expected something in return.

Yang: You were so delightful as my first person to meet on this strange, exciting new journey of mine! How wonderful that we share so many classes! I hope that means we will get into interact with each other much more, because I can tell your enthusiasm can sometimes match my own, and that is quite an accomplishment! I eagerly anticipate getting to know each other better.

Ghanima: It is such a refreshing change of pace to meet a fellow nobleman who is not so uptight and wound up, but still manages to maintain an incredible amount of poise and grace! So admirable! I am truly honored to be taught by you. Already, I can tell that I will learn a great many things to bring home with me, to make Hyrule better because of your introspective and your lovliness!

I really like hanging out with you, so far. I'm always having to guess what's going on in your head, but that's kind of an extra level of interesting. And I totally think we should make, like, karaoke tea parties the next big thing on campus.

So far you two are tied for "least obnoxious adult on the island". Congratulations! I expect a grudge match.

Summer: Okay, I could swear you didn't used to use that many filler words. Have you been doubling down on the whole "pretend not to be smart" thing lately? I don't want to say anything, because auditing how teenage girls talk is tacky grownup behavior, but still. . . .

Sidon: I've liked talking to you so far, even if I do kind of end up with a crick in my neck afterwards. You're just so enthusiastic about everything! I'm sure you'll make a fine king for your people.

You're, like, my level of normal. I mean, like, you get it, because you've seen some weird shit in your life, but you're still just, you know, a normal teenager like me despite all that, and I'm really grateful to have a friend who can kind of just relate to me on that level. But I think you're smarter than me at least. Smart enough to not make the mistakes I make, and I'm sure these last few weeks would have turned out a lot differently if you'd've been there, or at least in the back of my mind, shaking your head. Whoops.

Tip: You are quite different from most people I've met, which is wonderful! Even though I do not understand your perspective on things quite so much, I am always excited to hear your input, which then helps me appreciate everything in this strange world all the better! Thank you for being so helpful and friendly! I'm excited to see what else you might help me learn or discover!

Mr. Jenkins: I am getting the feeling that you might be making fun of me a little after this whole Henry VIII of England thing...and that's marvelous! It is so rare for me to have someone willing to be playful with me because of my station in life, and you are also so charming in your sharing of knowledge! Every week is sure to be one filled with wonder and excitement, eager to see which new critter you have to introduce us to, and you are also quite open to learning from your students as well, always the mark of a quality teacher and a true gentleman!

I would have liked you very much had you been part of my crew, and I'm not used to liking a person who considers me to be one too. Or to share common interests. It's different for me to be the one who needs to be taught about how things work, but I am happy to have you to help me.

You're fun, and cool... and I'm gonna feel like a total idiot when/if I find out the you that's been here the past few weeks wasn't even the real you. Like, I knew something was weird, maybe, but I had no idea it was that weird.

I admit, I was super suspicious when we first met, for reasons that I won't get into right now. But you jumped off a building with me, and I think that kinda thing bonds people, you know?
