meme: veritaserum

I have a few minutes before I have to leave for work, and then I get to work and don't want to do anything, so here, have a meme. Looks like we haven't done this one since almost a full year ago!

Your character has just ingested a large quantity of veritaserum, or "truth potion." Any questions asked of them they have to answer truthfully, whether they want to or not! There's absolutely no way around it.

But honestly, though, is there anything about my approach to this training that just isn't working for you?

I mean, I figure you'd tell me. You did with the pebble thing. But a guy's gotta ask anyway.

Oh yeah, I'd totally tell you. I mean, I'd love to not have to run laps and do the same thing over and over, but I get why you have me do them, and that's important. And I could change my mind and quit whenever and I get the feeling that you'd be disappointed, but you wouldn't hassle me for it, which is great.

But, I mean, remember that one of my best friends and biggest role models in the whole world made a name for himself by communicating with white people solely through yelling. I don't have a real typical perspective on authority figures.

Does my lack of expressions ever bother you, and do you ever wonder why?

. . . "Bother" isn't really the right word. It confuses me sometimes, and I don't like being confused, but it doesn't nag at me, really. I had to learn awhile ago how different people can be, so I'm kind of used to culture-shock and all that.

But yeah, I always wonder. I have a lot of guesses and I'd never ask, but it'd be nice to know for sure.
